🌲 The Ultimate Farm-to-Forest Escape at Le Gollé Goulu Saint-Côme, Quebec Tucked away in the heart of Lanaudière, where the forest meets the orchard. Escape the noise and reconnect with what matters. At Le Gollé Goulu, we offer more than just a place to sleep—we offer a "Peasant Camping" experience designed to nourish your soul and the land alike. Our mission is simple: to live in harmony with the living world through sustainable forestry and food sovereignty. The Experience Wake up in one of our eco-friendly dwellings—from cozy yurts and tipis to rustic tiny cabins—all tucked privately into our regenerated woodland. Whether you’re here to hike our scenic trails or simply breathe in the pine-scented air, you’ll find a sanctuary that operates entirely off-grid (powered by the sun!). A Living Landscape Our name says it all: Gollé (the shelter of the forest) and Goulu (the feast it provides). Wander through our forest orchard and vegetable gardens, where we practice regenerative agriculture to feed our guests and the ecosystem. We don't just clear land; we nurture it through selective, non-commercial forest management. ⛺ Why You’ll Love It: - True Seclusion: Spacious sites designed for peace, quiet, and stargazing. - Eco-Conscious: 100% solar energy and a deep commitment to conservation. - Local Flavor: Taste the bounty of our land with seasonal produce right from the source. Nature at Your Door: Direct access to hiking, snowshoeing, fishing, and the wild beauty of Saint-Côme. Come for the shelter, stay for the feast, and leave with a lighter footprint.

La Grande Ourse | Forest, Starlight

Booked 1 time
Yurt · Sleeps 8 · 4 beds · 1 toilet
After creating and naming La Petite Ourse, the idea naturally came to give her a big sister. La Grande Ourse is a spacious 8-person yurt, set high in the forest at Gollé Goulu and bordered below by a gentle stream that sings in spring. Like all Gollé Goulu eco-lodges, it is powered by solar energy and heated with a wood stove and furnace for warm, cozy stays in colder seasons. The yurt features a fully equipped kitchen with a propane cooktop, cookware, and utensils—so you can travel light. Its vibrant colours and handcrafted ash and red pine furniture create a warm, elegant and inviting atmosphere. With three queen beds (including oversized mattresses) and a futon, La Grande Ourse comfortably hosts up to 8 guests. At the top bunk, you might even feel close enough to touch the stars—or spot the Great Bear constellation through the skylight. Outside, a large balcony with seating offers year-round forest views, while a walkway leads to the bathroom and seasonal shower.

Le Ruisseau (G1)

Cabin · Sleeps 6 · 4 beds · 1 toilet
Le Gîte Le Ruisseau takes its name from the small seasonal creek that flows down the mountainside, bringing its enchanting soundtrack each spring. Nestled on a gentle rise within the rolling landscape of Gollé Goulu, the cottage enjoys a large, relatively flat outdoor area featuring a playground structure, two picnic tables, and a beautifully landscaped fire pit surrounded by colorful Adirondack chairs. It is the perfect place to watch the sun set over the Laurentian Mountains, admire the stars on clear nights, and enjoy the fragrance and beauty of the blooming meadow. It's also an ideal spot to relax with an evening drink while the children, just a few steps away, embark on their own adventures in the sandbox or on the playground. Like all of Gollé Goulu's eco-cottages, The Stream Cottage is powered by solar energy and heated with a wood-burning stove that provides warmth and comfort during cooler weather. The spacious loft sleeping area features two double mattresses and can accommodate up to four guests. On the main floor, a cozy alcove with a double bed offers additional privacy.

Le Marais (G2)

Cabin · Sleeps 4 · 2 beds · 1 toilet
Perched on sturdy stilts, the Marsh Cottage is built to withstand the elements while offering the unique feeling of sleeping among the trees, thanks to its impressive floor-to-ceiling picture window. Like most of our cabins, it is located at the edge of the forest and faces the vast Gollé Goulu meadow, with the Laurentian Mountains rising in the distance. The sunsets, whether enjoyed from the spacious outdoor deck or from the comfort of the cabin itself, are truly magical. Like all of Gollé Goulu’s eco-cottages, the Marsh Cottage is powered by solar energy and heated by a wood-burning stove that provides warmth and comfort during cooler weather. The cottage also features a charming, fully equipped kitchenette with a propane cooktop, dishes, and utensils, allowing you to travel light. Inside, you’ll cook, dine, and sleep using furniture handcrafted from local wood by local artisans. With its wide planks reminiscent of a traditional barn and its rustic character, the Marsh Cottage embraces simplicity and authenticity. Yet it is also a cabin filled with sunshine. The warm orange accents and the rich tones of wood covering the walls, floors, and ceiling create a joyful and inviting atmosphere throughout this cozy retreat. Although compact, the cottage can accommodate up to four guests, featuring a double bed on the main sleeping level and two single mattresses on the small loft. The private composting toilet, attached to the cabin, is accessed from the rear deck—just a few steps away. 🌲✨
