Your stay in the treehouse is off–grid, thoroughly insulated and heated by a wood-burning stove, also we do supply you with a Jackery 1000 lithium battery generator to power the shower, or to charge your phone or laptop. We also use a composting toilet for the cleanest and most environmentally sensitive relationship to the surroundings. You will learn firsthand what off–grid glamping is like…and that includes a hot-water shower. We will supply you with bed linens, towels, bath soap, shampoo, plates, cups, utensils, at least 2 1/2 gallons of fresh drinking water, pots and pans, grill utensils, salt and pepper, paper towels, a sink and dish soap, dish towels, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, a camping percolating coffee pot, coffee cups, a flashlight, and some firewood (for the mini wood stove—see amenity limitations). Mobile phone service is definitely adequate for working from a tree. :-)

Yurt: Seclusion Cedar & Deep Woods

100%
(25)
Yurt · Sleeps 2
Experience total immersion in the Pennsylvania highlands. Situated deep within 45 private acres of forest, this off-grid yurt is designed for those seeking a profound encounter with the wild without sacrificing the essentials of a restorative retreat. Whether you are an experienced woodsman or a first-time camper, Comstock Hollow provides a curated "stewardship" experience far removed from the modern pace. The Signature Experience The yurt site is a private enclave defined by two primary luxuries: • The Wood-Fired Cedar Hot Tub: A guest favorite, providing a primitive yet deeply relaxing soak under the canopy. • The Enchanted Hammock Grove: Deep in the woods, a pair of premium hammocks sit beneath a soft glow of fairy lights—the ultimate vantage point for the "serenity" our guests consistently celebrate. Living Off-Grid To ensure your expectations are aligned with the landscape, please note this is a true off-grid experience. We utilize a composting toilet and a rainwater-fed shower system to maintain the cleanest relationship with the surrounding ecosystem. • For the "Rookie" Camper: Upon booking, you will receive a comprehensive guide detailing exactly what we provide and a curated list of what you should bring to ensure a successful stay. • Provisions: We provide a barbecue grill for meal preparation and a dedicated fire pit for evening relaxation, roasting marshmallows, and stargazing. Wildlife and Wilderness The hollow is a thriving corridor for native fauna. Guests frequently encounter deer, foxes, and the occasional coyote or black bear. It is a place of true solitude, where the only sounds are the local wildlife and the wind through the trees. Regional Exploration While many guests find the yurt site so restorative they never leave, we are ideally positioned for high-adventure day trips: • Hiking: 45 minutes to the world-class waterfalls of Ricketts Glen State Park. • Water: Kayaking and canoeing on the scenic Susquehanna River. • Leisure: Local wineries and antique shops are within a short drive. A Note on Seclusion The yurt is completely secluded. While our family has lived on this mountain for generations, your site is your own. We ask that guests respect the privacy of the main residence and historic structures as they enjoy the peace of the woods

Endless Mtn Treehouse: 30ft Canopy

Booked 1 time
Treehouse · Sleeps 2
The Treehouse at the Endless Mountains: A High-Canopy Retreat Elevate your perspective—literally and figuratively. Perched 30 feet above the forest floor between two ancient maples, this off-grid sanctuary offers a rare architectural immersion into the canopy. With sweeping views across rolling fields to the silhouette of the Endless Mountains, the treehouse is a masterclass in secluded, intentional living. The Aerial Experience This is not merely a cabin in the woods; it is an elevated vantage point. The structure is designed to move with the trees, offering a gentle, rhythmic connection to the wind and the woods. It is a space for those who wish to "reconnect" by physically rising above the noise of the everyday. Off-Grid Intentionality The treehouse is a fully off-grid experience, optimized for environmental sensitivity: • The Environment: Heated by a traditional wood-burning stove and powered by a Jackery 1000 lithium station, providing a sustainable balance of warmth and utility. • Sanitation: Features a high-standard composting toilet and a pressurized rainwater shower system, ensuring a "light footprint" on the forest floor below. • Provisions: We provide high-quality linens, and kitchen essentials. A detailed "Pre-Arrival Guide" is sent to every guest to ensure you are fully prepared for the off-grid lifestyle. Forest Seclusion & Adventure Though you are suspended in the air, the site remains a gateway to the best of the region: • On-Site Serenity: Spend your days in the canopy or utilizing the ground-level fire pit and barbecue grill for slow-paced meals and stargazing. • Regional Highlights: Perfectly situated for day trips to the waterfalls of Ricketts Glen State Park, kayaking the Susquehanna River, or exploring the local vineyards and antique markets. A Note for the Mindful Traveler There is no climbing to the treehouse! We have a gentle sloping ramp to the front door. The off-grid systems require a spirit of adventure. This site is ideal for those who appreciate the "symbolic unity" of nature and architecture. If you seek a place to work from the woods or simply disappear into the clouds, the treehouse offers the ultimate high-altitude sanctuary.
