Wilderness Hilltop, Tryfan Forest

97%
(17)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 50 · Vehicles under 50 ft
Overlook thousands of acres of wilderness from this hilltop campsite. This campsite offers spectacular views. You'll be able to drive right up to your campsite and have hundreds of acres to yourself. This site can easily accommodate 25 campers who can choose to set up a tent anywhere on the hill top. While having the convenience of being able to drive up to the site this is still backcountry camping. That means limited amenities (no electricity, no running water, although drinking water can be accessed by filling containers in Gooderham). There is a large flat field for tents. Two thunderboxes are provided on each end of the campsite (see photos).  8ft picnic table with wide benches is onsite nearby to a firepit. Enjoy the rest of the property, including the lake from this large site ideal for extended families and friends that would benefit from a large open space but still want the wilderness experience.  Search for videos of Tryfan Forest on youtube.
