The Riverside Camp
We very much enjoyed our stay at Riverside, which offers a spacious and private campsite with a short walk down a lovely path to the river.
Riverside is a little piece of heaven nestled on the river just minutes from Godeeich and many local attractions.
Shelby was a great host and accommodated all of our needs. I highly recommend this spot!

I loved tent camping on Shelby’s land! The riverside camp site is beautiful with the river only steps away. The trees were turning colours and view was amazing. It was also only a 10 minute drive to Lake Huron. Perfect spot to reconnect with nature.

I very much enjoyed the quiet campsite beside the river, it had everything I needed. I had hoped to fish, but the water level was very low, so i just enjoyed cooking and reading beside the fire. I hope to return with my grandson when the water is higher next spring.

We had such a wonderful stay at riverside. The area was peaceful and well-kept, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Shelby was a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and attentive—and we even got to meet Mr. Fin, their sweet and friendly dog, which was a highlight of the trip. The port-a-potty was fairly clean, which is always appreciated when camping. Overall, this was a simple, quiet, and enjoyable camping experience. We’d happily come back again!

Very peaceful and private spot! So quiet, lots of shade. We enjoyed the walk along the path to get to our secluded tent spot. Nice flat area for our tent. There is a table and chairs. Wheelbarrow provides to get your gear in and out. Very well laid out and friendly hosts. We loved our time at Riverbend!

This is a small camping facility with only a few sites. It worked for us as we attended a music festival and were looking for a quiet place to sleep which was not inordinately far from Goderich On. Be aware there is no water, or shower, and the toilet is a porta-potty...'jonny on the spot'...but it is clean and cared for well. For the price good value and we would stay again if we were in the area. The host answered any queries quickly.

Nice host. Very private campsite at the Hideaway. Beautiful lil trail on the property, where you can walk past their garden and find their three cute lil chickens. I came here for peace and quiet and that was exactly what I got.

The Riverside Camp
Despite being close to the house, it was very private and secluded. The access to the river and the river itself was lovely! Washroom was clean and well-kept. Lots of space for multiple tents and kitchen set-up. A nice shady spot to eat and sit. Much closer to Goderich than we thought and we took advantage of the beach and some shopping there. Hostess was easy to communicate with and sweet. We actually never met her in person, and that was fine with us, as we were busy coming and going. We would love to come back!

Just the best place. Beautiful area, the river was great for my dig Finnegan he loved it. It really feels like nothing but nature is anywhere nearby. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting with Finnegan again. Shelby was really great as well, and their dog, also named Finnegan, was a sweetheart ❤️

This was our third time staying, I think it is safe to say this will be an annual adventure. We absolutely love the Hideaway camp and the Riverbend. Both have their positives to them.
The Hideaway camp is private and secluded from everything(even reception) except for nature. The Riverbend you have direct access to river, and less secluded.
The trail on the property is great for a morning or evening hike, with lots of things to experience like, wild berries( strawberries, raspberries) or finding owl pellets, seeing different wildlife prints.
Shelby is such a wonderful host, checking in to make sure your stay is going well. We enjoy seeing all the wonderful updates to the property, such as, the chickens this year.

Had an amazing weekend getaway at Shelby & Cody’s Property! We stayed at “The Riverside Camp” site. The site and river was beautiful, our two dogs had lots of fun as well! Maitland River was only a few steps away and it was so great to take a dip in during the heat. The guys had lots of luck wading around and caught some bass! The picnic table came in handy, and the campfire setup was lovely at night with a great view of the stars. This was our first hipcamp experience and we were very impressed and everyone in our group (4 of us in total) said they would come back again!

This was first time camping out of provincial parks. Not a bad decision.
Easy to find the spot just follow the directions from host. Quick and prompt response from host. We briefly met with the host, then we went to our site.
The site is on the way to the trail, I had to do three trips to move all my stuff’s to the site with the wheelbarrow available at the parking.
Within few min you will start searching for your bug spray for sure! Site was ok, I normally don’t like my tent on gravel.
Privacy more than we wanted, we would like to see people when we get out of our site and walk, it is just us!
My kids loved walking across the river and the view is beautiful!!
If you like extreme privacy this the place you must try!!!

Great site! Quiet, peaceful, great scenery.
We were looking for a non-busy place to chill and relax with our dogs and we found the perfect place.
The stream was beautiful!
Super close to Goderich made getting restock, or forgotten supplies easy.
We will definitely be back!

A super lovely camping site, 200m down a trail from the parking area. Lots of privacy. Nice big table with 4 chairs, fire pit with solid cooking grill. Wild flowers and woods all around. Firewood being sold by lots of stands along the side roads. A short drive to Lake Huron. Wish we stayed longer to have time to check out the Falls and River, but the area has lots to do & see!

While on the surface Riverside camp may not seem to be the most private, at no point during our stay was privacy a concern. The spacious site was tucked out of the way, with a row of trees providing sufficient privacy.
Just a short walk down to the river, we were treated with a beautiful view of the river.
While we didn't bring home any keepers there were enough big Shinners, smaller small mouth bass to keep everyone who wanted to wet a line entertained for hours.
