My wife and I absolutely loved our time at Sweet Oasis. Sweet Oasis offers a beautiful view of the sunrise and a perfect view of the night sky. An absolute must for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The space also has plenty of seating, tables and a great fire pit. Liza was a kind, great and communicative host! It's very serene, secluded and quiet. Do not miss your chance to book this spot, you won't regret it.

If you are looking for a perfect spot on Manitoulin Island which offers a place on South Bay right on the water, this is the place for you! Currently, there are no properties on Hip Camp offering privacy on Lake Huron. The owners have laid out the property in a way that you do not notice the neighbors. Rain or shine, the water views are gorgeous and untouched. This is a true Sweet Oasis!

The photos do not represent reality, see my photos. The place needs to be better maintained, the lawn was really long. The view is very beautiful if we look on Ly at the water side.

I stayed last year early July, returned this year early June, and all the great things i mentioned in the previous review (see other Sweet Oasis listing) still apply, meaning it is consistently great :-) I am impressed by the love and care Liza +family clearly put into this place, and i am grateful they share it with others through Hipcamp!

What a beautiful location! The dark skies, the birds on the bay. All were beautiful. The GPS location takes you to a spot a bit early for this location. Keep going down the road and you will see all of the signage. Thanks for letting us stay here for 2 nights!

Sweet Oasis
What a beautiful spot to rent. Liza's property is very well kept and the view is so amazing. Our family definitely enjoyed our stay and will come back !

Absolutely beautiful place, surrounded by nature and beautiful, clear water. The host was exceptionally kind and honest people. Highly recommended! We will for sure come back!

Exactly as advertised. We parked our 19 ft travel camper right on the beach, with easy lake access for our kayaks.
We set up our exercise tarp on the soft ground/grass in Liza’s yard above the beach.
Groceries and spirits available a few miles up the road in in Manitowinig. We needed an oil change for our tow vehicle, and Humphrey’s team at Complete Auto & Marine in Manitowinig got us right in.
Liza immediately answered any of our questions via texting while we were on site.

Hello, we spent a total of 6 nights at this location and absolutely loved it. Being able to wake up in the morning to the lake and go fishing, although we caught nothing, is the best feeling and the stars at night we amazing. Great location to explore the island and see all the wonderful sites. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property, right on the lake. Very romantic. The really trouble is with the neighbours. They were upset at the Hipcamp host renting out their property, and ended up aiming a speaker at us, blasting heavy metal music on repeat at us. We did nothing wrong, behaved very quietly and did nothing to deserve this reaction. They claim the host is not allowed to rent out the property. Not sure what the deal is, but with the neighborhood not settling things, I’d definitely not recommend renting this spot. It is a very nightmarish situation.
