Terrific place; improve service

Location and Accommodation: 4.5/5 The bunkie was great. Very cozy and comfortable. It was fantastic to have access both the forested area, and an open field for watching the sunset/sunrise or stars at night. Highly recommend this location in the fall when the leaves are changing. Close to Backus Woods, where I had a lovely hike as well. Host Communication: 1/5 I was given too much information. Bombarded with four different text walls of instructions, rules etc. all saying almost the same thing but slightly differently (or contradicting one another sometimes). The only personal communication (aside from several pre-written ones) I received from hosts was a message that said "Okay only if you need please ##########." This was in response to my request that we communicate by phone number once I leave my house since I do not have internet on my phone. Honestly, it made me feel like I was bothering them if I had questions while I was there - and I did end up having questions about how to safely operate the air intake on the woodstove but I just decided to keep it to myself. Value: 3.5/5 This place was awesome, but a touch expensive. After paying an extra $22 for firewood (necessary - it was close to 0C at night) and cleaning fees (I did all the cleaning because I was told to leave it better than I found it. There are not even sheets to change) it was 270 for 2 nights. At that rate, I expect to at least be welcomed by the hosts. Overall, would return (after trying other spots)

Magic Forest

Spring Arbour bunkie was a magical experience for my husband and me. Although we were alone in the forest on our mid fall trip, we felt such a sense of peace cozied up in the glow of the wood stove. What a thrill to go up for a scenic ride in Erik’s ultra light two seater plane. We really lucked out finding this hipcamp. The instructions were excellent and the hosts very responsive.

This was my second experience camping on Angela & Erik’s property. Sites are very clean, spacious, well taken care of. Such a peaceful vibe overall!! sweet spot, will bring my future fam here. lots of negative ions for forest bathing, good site to view both north or south constellations (bortle 3/4) for astrophotography. open skies let me see 2 meteors in less than 1 hr

practical place to camp. Not a lot of other ppl camping and sites are more spread out than provincial park camping. Firewood is available for a fair extra cost. horseshoe throwing, water to wash (but not drink), and easy hiking trails are included. Convenience store/lcbo nearby.

Definitely Magical

What a fantastic spot — truly a Magical Forest as the name suggests. On my first night I pulled in, set up camp, spent the evening around the fire, and honestly thought I was the only person in the whole park. The next morning, I wandered for a walk and realized there were other campers around, but that’s how private and peaceful it felt. The woods are absolutely beautiful, opening up to surrounding farmland that makes for some stunning photography. I kept my bird ID app open throughout my stay and was thrilled to record a number of new species. This campground is the perfect way to get off the beaten path and experience something different from the average provincial park. Quiet, scenic, and full of character — I’ll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Angela & Erik's magic forest. It was peaceful and quiet. The views of sunsets and stars were beautiful. Directions were clear and accurate as shown with minimal need for interaction with anyone. And we were within 15kms of many outdoor activities including the beaches.

We had such a wonderful experience at this private campsite! From the moment we arrived, everything was peaceful, clean, and well taken care of. The site felt private and tucked away, giving us the perfect mix of relaxation and nature. The hosts were quick to answer any questions we had, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The grounds were spacious and quiet, with lots of room to set up comfortably. We especially love the sunset view in the evening and how they put a swing on a tree for kids to enjoy! You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable, safe, and family-friendly space. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where you can enjoy nature without the crowds, this is the place to be. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a private camping experience.

We had a great time camping on Angela & Erik’s property. Our corgi has never been able to go off leash at a campground before and she had an amazing time zooming around our site and touring the area. The campsites are well maintained, set up well, and my partner loved the fire stick that was provided so much I may have to figure out how to make one 😂 For folks who are used to camping at KOAs or conservation area campgrounds, this may be a bit “back woods” for them. The only things we noticed were that the campsite isn’t necessarily as private as the other reviews make it out to be, especially since it’s preferred that you pee outside (there were a couple of times I think I locked eyes with someone in another site while squatting, LOL) and the composting toilet takes some getting used to as far as the smell (which is to be expected). Quick drive to both Turkey Point and Long Point beaches but quite far from anything larger than a convenience store (about a 25 minute drive to the grocery store in Delhi). Appreciated being able to prepay for wood and have it ready at our site as well. We had a couple of beach days and a couple of camp days and we would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to disconnect while still being somewhat close to civilization.

Great little spot to stay for a couple nights. It was my 4 year old daughter’s first camping trip and she had a blast. Very calm, well kept and safe environment. Only a few minutes away from long point and a number of little shops and restaurants near by.

Do it for the flight!

We had a great time tent camping, the Houghton site was a good distance from the others. The flight lesson is an excellent, fun, and exhilarating experience. Both my partner and I loved the camp and it's set-up, and proximity to Long Point Beach. Remember to bring toilet paper! Easy to get wood and dishwater, and the host Erik was great! Outside shower was a nice experience, just be prepared that if you don't do a heated shower it will be cool, even on a hot summer day (which can be quite nice).

We had a great time camping here! Everything you need, and a decent amount of privacy (much more private than some of the parks nearby). Lots of cool stuff to explore in the area, beaches and trails etc. Hosts were super helpful and responsive when we needed help or had requests. I highly recommend this campground.

We enjoyed our stay at The Magic Forest. Our site was Starstruck located between a corn field and the forest and had a beautiful sunset view and lots of stars in the sky at night. Most of the sites are in clear spots in a thick forest. The host were very informative snd responded to our messages quickly. We would recommend staying here.

It was a great weekend getaway at Angele and Erik's site! Though we woke up with pouring rain, it is still an awesome stay! The trails are kids friendly and we enjoyed our walk. Sites are quite close to each other but privacy is noticed. Would surely be back!

Very quiet and spacious campsite close to Port Rowan and Turkey Point and Long Point. Basic amenities compared to the Provincial Park campgrounds, but much more privacy for less money, and wood for campfires at a great price and convenience. Would come back and recommend!

Wonderful camping experience, very private and well maintained spots. We loved the option of dry fire wood being available for purchase at the sites. Very close to a store for any amenities and close to Wineries and Breweries in the area. Thanks for having us :)
