We had an amazing weekend at the bunkie! Although the river was too shallow for swimming, it was such a beautiful view and the sound of the flowing water was so soothing to hear all day and night. Paula and her husband were wonderful hosts. It was super convenient that they had a little store and restaurant less than a two minute walk from the bunkie. We would definitely go back!

Such a great place! Right on the shallow river, peaceful, and lovely hosts! We will be back for sure. The restaurant and store are a definite plus! Bathrooms where AMAZING, great warm showers and lots of privacy. Cute place.

A true hidden gem!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Paula’s bunkie. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to birds chirping was incredibly peaceful. The clear skies, the quiet, and the lack of highway noise made it feel like a true escape.
We spent our days cooling off in the crystal-clear river and our evenings around the fire, soaking in the natural beauty. One day, we had to get some work done, and were grateful for the WiFi and the chance to work from their beautiful patio overlooking the property.
Compared to other campgrounds we’ve visited, the level of care here is unmatched. Paula and Dave checked in on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and clearly pour their hearts into this place. It felt more like a boutique resort than camping.
The bunkie was spotless and cozy, with a Keurig, toaster oven, full fridge/freezer, and a BBQ. The shared washrooms and showers were also very clean and well-maintained.
We loved the on-site bistro (open Wednesday–Sunday), with delicious meals made by Paula herself. One night, there was even live music on the patio. Their little store also has a few essentials if you forget anything.
They mentioned plans to expand the bunkie with its own toilet, build a second one, among other improvements. We can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-run place to unplug—this is it!

We had a very nice weekend at this little cabin. Beautiful place in front of the river. The owners were very nice people. A plus bonus is that there is a restaurant on site with great food and a variety store as well.

Paula and Dave are great hosts, they are really friendly and helpful. Site 3 is very clean well kept, peaceful, picturesque, and very quiet even though it's the closest Site to main building. The washroom is very well maintained, kept clean, it has a fully functional flushing toilet and shower can't asked for more.
If your a avid hiker there's lots of trail/waterfall near by approx. 1hr ish away and same for fishing.
I definitely would come back again, and yes I definitely and highly recommend my friends and associates to came check out Riverside Resort. Thanks for a wonderful long weekend Paula and Dave!

Nice and quite area… restrooms are good but only 2… there are 9 campsites at this place but restrooms are only 2… staff are good they will provide firewood for 10$ at site which is good… retardant and convenience at camp place… I have been to many camp places this place is clean and very less insects and bugs…. And beside river you can clearly hear the water sound in the tents, which feels like you are in nature.

Had an excellent time at riverside resort. Site was very spacious and right by the river. Washrooms and showers on site and also a little store for ice, wood and necessities. Store is also attached to a restaurant which we took advantage of on our last night and were happy we did! Owners on site for questions and chats. Both were very friendly. Would highly recommend camping here:)

My husband and I LOVED site #9. It was perfect for the two of us and our 16 foot travel trailer. It felt private which made it very peaceful, (& of course, romantic). The babbling brook, birds singing, no internet. We loved our time there and won't hesitate to choose it again for a quick get away, or a longer stay if we can manage to get the time off work.

Amazing place to visit. Beautiful property that you can clearly see the owner’s take great pride in. It’s very quiet with several amenities including on sight bistro which was yum! Bathrooms were extremely clean. Will definitely come back here. Great place for a young family or quiet couple looking to get away!

My nephews, pup, and I stayed here for two nights as a home base in between some hiking trails and areas of interest. We had a lovely time! Frogs and minnows in the creek, flushable toilets and VERY clean showers. This place is perfect if you're looking to have a few nights outside with some added comforts. The hosts went above and beyond when my car battery died during packing up and I needed a jump.

My friend and I came to the Riverside Resort and bistro, looking for a quiet weekend away in nature to relax and unwind. Well we definitely found the best place to do that. We glamped for the weekend in Laura and Dave’s bunkie on Styx River. Well let me tell you that we enjoyed every moment. We were welcomed by both Laura and Dave and our bunkie was ready for our arrival. There was kindling and small sticks in our fire pit to help with the first camp fire. We had a great fish and chip from the bistro. We slept ever so soundly in our little cabin. Everything you would need was there and neatly tucked away in the cute kitchenette. We even had a bbq with a full propane tank. The front step of the bunkie is not even 15 feet from the river. Our lovely hosts checked in on us a couple times over the weekend and they were fabulous to chat with. Very down to earth and offered help or directions to anywhere we could want to go. I will be back to this lil cabin. I actually think it would be a great spot for myself to just pack a couple books and disconnect. Thank you for all you do Laura and Dave. And thank you for sharing your beautiful slice of country life with us ❤️

We were looking for a nice cabin to get away and unwind, and this place was just that! We had such an amazing time, and waking up every morning to the River was the cherry on top! The cabin was very clean and literally had everything you would ever need. Paula and her husband were very hospitable, always made sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The bistro was very nice as well! We went there for lunch and the food was absolutely amazing! We are definitely making this place our get away place!
