We went mid week in September, it was beautiful, quiet. We enjoyed the beach, the canoes, kayaks and pedal boat. Washrooms were clean, campground clean. We enjoyed our stay. Chris was quick to get back to us with a question we had. I would recommend this to others!

I unfortunately had to cancel this stay at the last minute, as I was called away right after arriving at the property. But the campsite looked just as it was listed, and I would have been happy to stay there. Chris was also very understanding and accommodating of the last minute cancellation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site!

Great for families with young kids!

This was our second time at the Princeton this summer and we loved it just as much as the first! Way fewer bugs in August compared to June, which was a nice bonus. It’s such a great spot with kids. There was tons to do at the beach, fun trails to explore, and a few play structure options. We also went out on the canoe and paddleboards, which was awesome to have right there to use. The beach on the river offers a sandy area to play and the water is shallow enough for the kids to explore on their own out to the buoys. The trailer is spacious and has everything we needed for our few days away. The hosts are friendly and responsive, and make sure we have everything we need. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a Q peaceful getaway!

Most peculiar campground

Check-in was interesting. We in what we thought at first was the campground but still weren’t sure. Some random guy comes from out of nowhere and as we tell him the name of the booking he confirms our reservation and gave very confusing instructions. We drove through what could possibly be someone’s private property. Then we drove about a kilometre on a sandy road along a hydro line. We approach our site and we managed to back in without any issues, however, our camper was then only feet away from an abandoned 5th wheel and about 15 feet from the washrooms. Great for some for convenience but every time someone flushed the toilet we would get a smell of sewage in our kitchen area window. Not great! The bathroom was is disrepair but somewhat functional with no showers. The view from our front door was old boating equipment to use at your own risk and some metal and wood junk. I wanted to leave but we were committed and were short on time and was attending a nearby event. There are 9 sites but on 2 or 3 will accommodate a camper trailer. If you are adventurous well this campground is for you. We still never found the office, lol.

Chris was a good host, made sure we had everything we needed and if not just had to message him and he would get back to you right away. The place was really clean and tidy, peaceful and relaxing. Had a great time relaxing with my family over the past few days, would definitely come back and recommend to friends and family

We had a very nice stay at campsite #10 which was very much as Chris described: quiet, peaceful, nice beach, grassy area for tents, and not far from washrooms and shower. Special bonus was the availability of plenty of canoes and gear to help yourself and get out on the water. Chris was available if needed but also nice to be basically left alone to enjoy the lovely camping experience that Chris has set up. Thanks so much!

Amazing time at the Princeton site!! The beach was a minute away by foot, and offered various water activities like paddle boarding and kayaking! My kids had a blast. Chris and Cathy were so welcoming and helpful. I'm looking forward to booking again! 😍

We really loved our week long stay here, right beside the Bonnechere River :) We had our 21’ trailer and services included water hook-up and 30 amp hydro. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and boards/lifejackets were available for our use. Lots of trails/little roads to walk on with our little dog :) Peace & tranquility at its finest with absolutely no traffic noise! If you want to “get away from it all”, this is the place :)

Great location. Our kids made good use of the provided paddle boards, kayaks, and fishing equipment. Cabin was the perfect size for our family of five. Host was amazing, stocked the cabin with essentials plus some treats before we arrived. Overall, a great place to stay!

Incredible Riverfront Retreat

We loved camping at New Frontiers Retreat site #5 riverfront on the Bonnechere River. The view was incredible and it was so peaceful and pleasant, practically had the whole place to ourselves except for a couple of other campers. No complaints whatsoever, couldn't ask for a nicer spot! Our host Chris and his lovely wife Cathy were right there to greet us, answer any questions we had, check in on us to make sure everything was perfect, and it definitely was! We loved this retreat, what a beautiful peace of land and the fishing was great! We will definitely be returning. Thanks Chris and Cathy for making our first Hipcamp experience one we will always remember and talk about to our family and friends. See you soon :) Best regards, Mira & Clarence

Peaceful and enjoyable stay!

We recently stayed at this campsite and had a great experience overall! Our camp site was right in front of the lake and there was a fun play area that my toddler absolutely enjoyed. The paddle boards and kayaks were in good condition, and we really appreciated having free access to use them whenever we wanted. We spent most of our time outside the campground, but when we were there, everything went smoothly. Chris was very helpful in guiding us to our site, as the entrance was a bit unclear and different from what we’re used to at other campsites. It felt like a long drive in with our big trailer before reaching the actual camp area. Our campsite was conveniently located just a 20 second walk from the toilets, which was a big plus. We had our own bathroom in the trailer, but since the campground doesn’t have a sewage hookup, we ended up using the campground toilets and it worked out just fine, they were very clean. All in all, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

This was an incredible find! The land was very well maintained, the site was well stocked with everything needed, and the scenery was amazing. I was suprised at the availability; a week before the long weekend we had an amazing spot. Being able to freely canoe or kayak was a nice suprise. Chris was a great guy to deal with, and on top of our questions. Thanks Chris for the all the work you do!

At first we didn't know what to expect. At arrival Chris welcomed us. A very friendly man who brought us straight away to the campsites. It was a 1 km drive across a dirt-road. But then a beautifully scenery appeared. Chris had also a site with power available, which we needed for the AC. It was hot, so very welcome. We could use all the peddle-boards and kano's. We enjoyed those for an evening sail across the river. Everything is so quiet and peaceful. At night we could see the stars, because it was so dark. We had a real pleasant stay.
