Welcome to our hidden oasis! We're a 2025 Canadian Hipcamp Newcomer Award Winner! This is quite an honour, only 8 were given out this year! Copy this link into your browser to view this fun video of our property (thanks Kyle!): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vIBdOV9ar4aWONWWO7ED1Yy-D1iBg0Sg/view?usp=sharing Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas. There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. There is really something for everyone around here. We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night. We have: - Fire pits, - Picnic tables, - Muskoka chairs, - A lovely composting toilet, - Firewood for sale, - Space for RVs, - Space for tents We DON'T have potable water on site. Please bring your own water. Check out the individual listings for more details about each site. A couple notes about the property: We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities. You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Experience the unique Elora countryside, with its many local amenities. This site is right next to the water, in a flat grassy area with some tree cover and plenty of space to pitch a tent, dining tent and/or RV. There is a treed fence row on one side and a pond and creek on the other. A large fire pit, picnic table and toilet is nearby. There is no electrical hookup or potable water. There is an RV dumping station at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area about 5km away. Guests will have plenty of space to themselves, with the other Creekside site a good 50 meters away, with a screen of mixed fir trees to provide ample privacy. The acres around the pond is a hidden oasis. We’ve had overwhelmingly positive reviews about the sites. Additionally, we’ve reduced the capacity of each site (to 4) to help ensure our sites provide the tranquil experience you are seeking. If you want to book for more people we recommend booking additional sites, as tranquility is our first goal for our guests. The 3rd site, away from the pond, is pretty far away and almost completely out of view, but its guests may use the pond on occasion. You may encounter property owners enjoying a walk with their dogs out back, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work nearby and around the property. This is a shared space and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Please read the reviews to get a sense of the overwhelming enjoyment our guests have experienced. Experience the unique Elora countryside, with it's many local amenities. This site is in a picturesque flat grassy area with plenty of space to pitch a tent, dining tent and/or RV. There is a treed fence row on one side and an open yard on the other. The pond is very close by. A large fire pit, Adirondack chairs, picnic table and toilet is nearby. There is no electrical hookup or potable water. There is an RV dumping station at the Elora Gorge Conservation Area about 5km away. Guests have plenty of space to themselves, as the property is very large and the other sites are far away, and almost completely out of view and earshot. Access to the pond is shared. however, please respect the other sites' privacy when near the pond. We've limited this site to only 3 guests to help maintain the tranquility of the space. You may encounter property owners enjoying a walk with their dogs out back, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work nearby and around the property. Creekside RV And Tent (Site #2)

Not a single negative thing I can say about this property. It was so clean, so easy to access and we had an absolute blast. The sound of the bullfrogs at night and the stars were beautiful. The other sites are far enough away that it gives you ample privacy. We brought my dogs and they loved swimming in the pond and being able to be off leash. I think they are still tired from the weekend. I could spend a week here and never get bored 🙂 I loveeee it! Thanks for having us Laura, I can’t wait to come back!!

Hidden Oasis Worth Discovering

Staying here felt like discovering a secret slice of paradise tucked just outside the bustle of Waterloo and Guelph. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel genuinely welcomed ~ kind, thoughtful, and always happy to help without ever intruding. You can tell they pour their hearts into this land. The property itself is magic. Acres of peaceful green space, a serene pond, trails all around, and sunsets that look like they were painted just for you. Whether you’re biking, exploring nearby towns, paddling the river, or just sinking into a Muskoka chair with a fire crackling beside you, it’s the kind of place that slows your heartbeat in the best way. There’s room to breathe, room to wander, and room to reconnect ~ with nature, with yourself, or with the people you love. It truly is a hidden oasis, and you can feel why it’s an award‑winning spot the moment you step onto the property. If you’re looking for tranquility, beauty, and hosts who genuinely care about your experience, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough.

Picturesque RV and Tent (Site #3)

Laura’s property was exactly what we needed for our first time camping with our dog. We wanted to see how he would do sleeping in a tent and being off leash, and the space was perfect for that. The property is massive with plenty of room to run, explore, and even swim in the little creek nearby. The bathroom was such a nice touch! It is definitely not your typical outhouse experience. It was clean, well maintained, and had no smell at all. Although the other campsites were occupied, everything was spaced far enough apart that it still felt very private. You can see Laura’s house from the site, but it never felt intrusive. Laura stopped by briefly with her two lovely dogs to say hello, but otherwise you’re truly left to enjoy the space on your own. We always felt like we had complete privacy and lots of room to relax. We would absolutely return and would definitely recommend this beautiful spot to others. A couple of things to note: there are a lot of mosquitoes and insects before sundown, so come prepared with bug spray. Also, since you need to pack out your own garbage and recycling, make sure you leave room in your vehicle for it afterward. Thankfully, a very kind neighbour helped us out when we ran out of space. The only suggestion I’d make would be offering garbage disposal onsite, but even without it, this place was still a 10/10 experience.
