We welcome you to our alpaca farm! Forest Cove Alpacas is a family-run business and home to Huacaya alpacas, each featuring unique personalities and colors. We currently have nearly 40 alpacas, with numerous crias (baby alpacas) expected in summer 2026! Each alpaca has its own distinctive demeanor, and all are treated equally with love, affection, and plenty of treats. Our on-site farm store showcases luxurious alpaca fiber garments for all ages and needs in a variety of natural colors and blends. You'll also find an array of handmade products, creative pottery, mouth-watering fudge, and many other Canadian-made items. Seasonal ice cream is available as well, featuring a unique blend of Kawartha Dairy hard ice cream with endless additions to create a personalized soft-serve experience for every customer. Farm tours and events are offered year-round, providing education and interaction with the alpaca herd. We also welcome group events such as school trips, birthday parties, team-building experiences, weddings, and much more. We are located on the outskirts of Algonquin Park, about 1.5 hours northwest of Ottawa in the picturesque Upper Ottawa Valley, where the air is fresh, the Ottawa River flows, and nature’s beauty is inspiring. See you at the farm — we look forward to meeting you! Educational farm tours are offered daily if you wish to interact with the alpacas. Cuddle with the babies, hand-feed the mamas, walk the males, and learn about their natural behavior! Please let us know if your group would be interested in a tour. Paid tours are available at discounted rates depending on the group size and tour length. We also offer an interactive self-guided tour, allowing you to explore at your own pace alongside the pastures while viewing the alpacas in their natural environment. There is plenty of graveled parking space for larger RVs to turn around and park. Parking is adjacent to the highway, though traffic noise is generally minimal during the evenings and overnight. • Please note: Keep your furry friends near your RVs, as alpacas are easily spooked.

Forest Cove Alpacas RV Site is a flat, traveled parking lot adjacent to Highway 17. The space is large, flat and open and can easily fit 10 RVs with space to turn around. Please note, the RV's will be parked next to eachother; however, depending on the number of RV's for any given night, guests may have the space to themselves! There are no hook-ups at this site, but a campfire site with picnic tables/benches is located less than 1 minute walk from the parking area. There are no bathroom amenities here, Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. We look forward to meeting you! Alpacas are contained in their own pastures and barns. Walking the property is not permitted; however both guided and self guided tours are available for purchase in the boutique. **Please note: please keep your furry friends near your RVs, alpacas are easily spooked (Pets must be contained to the parking lot area and adjacent grassed area as to not interact with the alpacas).
