The dam spot

This property was exactly what we were looking for! The area was beautiful and the sites they have to stay at are great spots to camp. The river that runs through the property was amazing. Will definitely be staying here again and would recommend this spot to anyone. Also the host Angela and Luke were very nice and helpful

A real hidden gem!

What an incredible gem beaver ranch is! Cant begin to say how beautiful and relaxing this spot is! I stayed at the Dam Spot and I will definitely be back I can’t wait. I really can’t say enough about how accommodating and generous the hosts are. They check in on you and make you feel right at home. Thank you so much I will be back!

Camping at Angela's hipcamp was the perfect start to our weekend of canoeing/fishing! The site was perfect! Right infront of the saugeen river. You can fish right at your site if you like fishing, just a few steps down to the shore line. There was a picnic table provided, which was fantastic! The fire pit is set up right under a clearing where you can see millions of stars on a clear night, it was beautiful and so peaceful. Nice even ground for your tent. Very relaxing atmosphere and as felt very private. Its a beautiful property. We added firewood to our booking, we definitely recommend doing that! We couldn't believe the amount of wood she left right on site for us! It burned so nicely and there was an abundance! She made our trip so easy and so relaxing! We will absolutely return with our kids next time! Thank you so much for a perfect night!

Nice little quiet an isolated spot. Good tree coverage which helped keeping us dry when it started raining. There is a convenient firepit. We went in fall so didn’t swim, but the river is great. Possibility to go for little hikes

My son and I had a great time, the site was beautiful and the river was clean. Great spot for tubing and kayaking. The dogs had fun running free. Angela and Luke were great hosts.

A little slice of heaven along the river.Beautiful trail to explore.Luke and Angela made sure I was taken care of.the site was very big as it overlapped onto the neighboring site for now so I could back in facing the river.Very shaded but I found sunny spots.Thinking next time I will try the Dam Spot.also sites are very private and spaced out.Great space.Great people.

We enjoyed camping on Luke and Angela’s property. We were accommodated last minute with a large group due to having to relocate because of the Wildfires in the North. Thank you very much!! Angela was very helpful and gave clear, easy directions to her property and site. It was spacious and clean. Firewood was stacked up neatly under a tree ready for use. There was another site nearby but not noisy and we still had privacy. The sound of the moving waters was quite peaceful. This was my second time camping on the property but a different site. I will definitely come back next season.

What a lovely family! I'm thorned with this review because if I tell everyone that this place is the next best thing after paradise - on earth, I will not have a peaceful spot when I return next... However, Angela and Luke went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible, it wouldn't be fair to not leave a positive review. If you enjoy peace and quiet but still be close to all amenities, if you love beautiful scenery or go to sleep to the sounds of a lazy river, this is the spot for you! Lots of land to explore, gorgeous mature cedar forest, fields of different grains and cereals... I can't possibly enumerate all of what this place has to offer. Respectfully enjoy a one of a kind to keep intact this jewel of a retreat from the big cities' hustle and bustle. Love love love 💖

The last two yrs at Luke and Angela's campsite were both a wonderful time. The place is calm and quiet and the river is very clean and refreshing. The host is friendly and welcoming and arranged a ride for us to go up the river further so we can float down on our tubes.

Wow, now we understand why the reviews are flawless… because this site truly is perfect. We stayed at the Dam Spot for two nights and loved every single minute. The site was private, beautifully maintained with neatly mowed grounds, spotless, and just steps from the river. There’s something magical about waking up, opening the door of your camper, and being greeted with that stunning view right outside. It’s the kind of experience that instantly relaxes you and makes you never want to leave. Angela and her husband were so warm and welcoming when they stopped by with their pups, and our dog loved the visit too! We absolutely look forward to returning as soon as we can, it’s a little piece of paradise.

Large well maintained camp sites. Grass groomed . Camp site has fire ring with a pile of wood for fires. Gravel road to site with detailed instructions provided by the host.Dam site so close to the river very very private sites. Will return.

This site was beautiful! Sheltered, but not too much! Lots of flies this year, but flies were bad everywhere this year! The river is shallow at the site, and not far down the river it opens up! Kayaking and floating were what we spent most of our time doing! The wood was dry, great for burning and we loved the option of buying our wood all at once with options for how much we needed! Lots of space on the site and to roam around! If you forget anything it’s just a 5 minute drive to Hanover! We will definetly be coming back! We were a party of 5, and a dog! They were very accommodating when I told them about our GSD(she is reactive). The owner made it clear she just wanted us to really enjoy our time there and we definetly did!

Thanks to Angela and Luke for sharing a piece of their riverside paradise , with plenty of privacy and room, a great campsite with easy access to the water, I couldn’t ask for anything more. We had a lovely weekend at the Dam site at Angela and Luke’s farm with our travel trailer and pup. Very beautiful spot and lots of sun for our solar panels, crisp clean river to cool off in and lots of entertainment from the tubers going down the river. It was a long weekend so extra busy. Fire pit and great wood for purchase. We hiked in Allan Park conservation area and stopped in at a great micro brewery close by for a drink and bite. A picnic table would make this spot absolute perfection. Thanks to Angela, Luke, kids, and Nora and Lake the doggos for welcoming us, we will be back : )

We stayed at the dam site and wow, it didn't disappoint. It was our first time staying at Beaver Ranch and we would come back in a heartbeat. Angela came down to greet us when we arrived which was lovely. It was such a beautiful spot to just enjoy nature and relax. It was so hot during our stay being by the water was a huge bonus. It was fun watching the tubers coming down the river. Our 10 month old water loving lab had an amazing time swimming in the water while we relaxed in our chairs. We would definitely recommend and return to this beautiful spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beaver Ranch! The location was beautiful, directions were clear, Angela & Luke were very kind, welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Our site had a little fire pit which was perfect and we were right on the water. We have young kids so we had easy water access which made swimming fun for our kids. We will definitely rebook and recommend Beaver Ranch to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway! Thanks again Angela and Luke for your great hospitality and sharing your land with our family.

Gorgeous views. Clear water. Wide life as far as the eyes can see. We book 2 or 3 times a year. Anniversary, family trip and just a plan ol get away. Not far from Durham or Hanover. And you can't beat the price.

The best Dam Spot

It was such a pleasure to be back at the “Dam Spot”. It’s been 3 years since our last visit and was just as amazing as the first visit. Angela and Luke made us feel like family,,, in a good way!!! Lol. My sister and brother-in-law joined us there with their camper and fell in love with the “Spot” too. We had some very hot weather, so it was nice to jump in the river and cool off, and Bailey our faithful companion spent a lot of time in it as well, cooling herself off. Setting the lawn chairs in the river was also very relaxing. This spot is quiet, relaxing, beautiful and the river beside you, can’t be beat!!!! Thanks again Angela and Luke!!! We’ll be back!!!

Great spot. Second time using Angela and Luke's property. Wonderful people. This spot is right against the river with tons of sunlight if you're using solar. Lots of people floating on inner tubes which was fun to see. Jumped in the river to cool off a bunch and chat with people floating by. Will be going back again a bunch.

What a great little spot, right on the river! My site was well shaded, had good flat options for my tent, and it was relaxing to be able to hear the sounds of the river. I added firewood to my stay and it was well worth it to not have to go hunting for some on the roadside. Angela popped by shortly after I got there to check in, appreciated. Perfect spot!

Peaceful Riverside Camping 🏞️

I recently stayed at this campsite and had a great experience overall. The place looked exactly like the photos and description—right beside the river, which was beautiful and made me want to camp there. Although there isn’t full shade, it was a bit windy and the coolness from the river made it comfortable. We enjoyed watching friendly people kayaking and tubing by the river, waving as they passed. Angela was very responsive and detailed in communication, both before we arrived and when we were leaving. Also, when i let her know that i'm scared of dogs she was very considerate in keeping them away away from our site as much as possible which I really appreciated (the dogs were very friendly though). On our last night we went to the drive-in movie nearby as recommended in the description. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience in a beautiful riverside location with nice extra activities nearby. Thank you Angela for having us in your beautiful property and for being kind host. I will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to camp beside the river. 💯
