A piece of heaven is what awaits you here. If you're looking for privacy your search is over. Imagine having your own island you reach by walking across the 15 metre bridge with a few areas to set up your tent(s) from where you'll fall asleep listening to the sound of the spring flowing into the pond, what bliss. The other site has a large rectangular pond of its own to ensure everyone has privacy. Your drinking water comes from Mother Nature, not a well, true spring water that's icy cold and so refreshing.. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim. We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is. Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable er be spectaular and later the stars twinkle above and maybe you'll even see a satellite high above while you're stargazing. Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us upon arrival, as we are a forestry managed property. An outhouse is a pleasant walk within minutes of the site. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking. New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment. There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. With more destinations as you move outward. We promise you won't be disappointed and can't wait to share our piece of Heaven with you. TAKE NOTE You will be charged $500 per bag/item of refuse you leave behind. WE DO NOT HAVE GARBAGE PICKUP, besides which you are supposed to leave the site as you found it. CANCELATIONS: IF you cancel within two weeks of your arrival date, your money will NOT be refunded nor will you be able to change the date. We are sorry for this, but we only have a short season, and you'll be using up double the time you booked for. Terry and Ray P.S. The property is mostly 50 yr old pine trees with a couple walking trails throughout. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim. We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is. Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable mutt Walker and the two new dogs who ate getting loveable, Bella and Hunter. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking. Also, the covered bridge is there if, HEAVEN FORBID, it rains, where you can seek coverage and watch and listen to it fall. New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment. There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. This is our second site which is located beside the other pond. We are trying to provide total privacy for our campers. You will hear the water flowing in the pond in one ear and the water flowing out from the other ear, truly amazing. This is a huge site which you'll have all to yourselves with unlimited options for your tent set up. We have installed a small dock to provide easy access to the pond for swimming off of as well as pulling up a lawn chair and casting a bit or to drink your morning coffee and enjoy the start of your day. This is a full sun site but you can just follow the shade and take advantage of the whole site and enjoy the different scenery. This site is on a lower elevation then the other one and affords you total privacy. Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us as we are a forestry managed property. Ray will provide you with fresh spring water for drinking. . Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Terry and Ray were great hosts. The property was great, the wood was plentiful, the pond was serene, water delivered to us. Also, barely any bugs! What more could you ask for?

Great site with good people. Talked with Terry and Ray on arrival and they were more than happy to make sure we had everything we need. Natural spring water and good fire wood at the site was fantastic.

We loved the spacious camping site by the swimming pond onTerry and Rays 50 acre property! Certainly a hidden gem with great hosts to boot! Our two Golden Retrievers had a blast playing in the water and running all around the huge site. The site is secluded and would easily accommodate a huge group of people. We recommend this property for camping to anyone looking for a private, peaceful, and fun camping adventure. Thank you, Terry and Ray for having us!

Me and my son really enjoyed ourselves for 3 nights on the island. I've been camping most of my life and this place is definitely one of the best. Not just because of the site or the views or the quiet but the hosts Ray and Terry. Everyday they would visit us with their 2 so friendly dogs Hunter and Walker to see if everything was ok. And everything was more than I expected. They bring fresh spring water and the firewood is there under plastic so it's always dry. There's even cooking utensils in case you didn't bring your own! Not only that but they have fishing rods and lures you are free to use! At night we were surprised when stringed solar lights came on surounding the campfire area! Where are you going to find a campsite like that? Lots of trails to hike and explore as well. There's lots of space to put several tents as well. And there's lots of shaded areas if you like to have time out of the sun. Ray and Terry have done a tremendous amount of work and have thought of everything to make sure you enjoy your entire time there. We are absolutely returning next year. Thank you Ray and Terry. Looking forward to seeing you again!😊

Awesome campsite, views are like from a painting, beautiful and clean. This is our 3rd time camping on Terry’s campsites, and hopefully there will be more. Every time like first - clean, comfy and extremely peaceful. We saw turtles, caught fish (there are some big ones too). Terry and Ray are always kind and friendly. I do recommend to visit this place at least once! A real piece of heaven!

If you're looking for a awsome getaway, Island Oasis is the place to be. The views of the water are amazing especially at sunset by the fire. Everything was well maintained and clean. The spring water ponds was just the right amount of cold and refreshing on those hot days. We spent hours just floating in the water. Hosts are amazing, We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next trip back.

had a group of 5 teenage girls, myself included stay at terry and ray's island site this past weekend and it was amazing! from the amenities they had for us, to their commitment to making sure we were all having the best time we possibly could be, we enjoyed our entire weekend! the island site is adorable and i would definitely stay again! thank you guys!

I was really happy to find this place. The owners are supper polite and kind. Terry took me on a walk on the land and we had a good conversation there. The dogs are the best part of it. The pond is a great place to be in while hot outside just make sure you can’t dive in because of the algae under it but really nice to swim on the swimming ring with clear water. The owners gave us everything what we needed and overall I want to come to this place again))

The campsite is just ideal, with everything you need for a beautiful weekend away from the city. Stunning views, a warm pond and an opportunity to stay here privately, without dozens of other campers makes this place truly unique. Terry and Ray (the hosts) are super nice, very responsive and welcoming.

What a wonderful experience! We had 3 kids and a dog with us and everyone had the best time! The property is beautiful and the island is one of a kind. We felt like guests, and the hosts made sure we had everything we could need and so much more. They are the best kind of people and we feel really grateful to have been able to share their place with them and enjoy their awesome land and hospitality. So many features of this place were a delight to discover and I’d recommend this site and especially these hosts to everyone. Looking forward to booking again.

Ray and Terry have been wonderful hosts, I can even call them god sends. 11 friends and I came for a 3-4 day tent camping experience and a digital detox. The site is very peaceful, quiet, and has everything we need. The outhouse was a lot better than we imagined, the pond was a pleasant swim, the insects were very manageable with proper measures. My car broke down and Terry and Ray were very helping and spent an hour of their time to help us. Would highly recommend to everyone, you will be very happy (all of us loved the experience). Thank you Terry, Ray and can’t forget Walker and Hunter. :)

Terry and Ray were nothing short of great hosts! So accommodating and relaxed. They really care for their land and it shows. The site was amazing and so big. The fire by the pond was serene. Will be back again this summer for sure. 10/10.

An excellent camping trip!

Terry and ray were so friendly and accommodating and the site is beautiful - and it’s a much easier drive than heading past Toronto. We stayed for 3 wonderful nights (2 adults, a teenager, toddler, and dog) and had a blast! Lots of fishing and exploring the grounds and we had plenty of water. Our dog and toddler were able to walk around the site and explore without me being worried they would wander too far. We went through a lot of firewood but we were always able to buy more. Lots of trees to set up tarps for the rain and Terry even brought us some freshly picked asparagus for our dinner! Would 100% come back - we had a great time!! Thanks so much Terry and Ray for the amazing trip!

We stayed the weekend at Terry & Ray's. Great place. Very peaceful. The dogs loved the pond. The hosts are lovely and brought the driest wood for our fires. It is a great location of you're meeting up as a group from different directions. We loved making a sign for the sign post. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for the good times.

We were a group of three families. We rented both sites, using the island for sleeping and the other site for recreation and dining. We got good exercise walking back and forth. We played in both ponds. The covered bridge was very handy when it rained one evening. The firewood was so good that the fires nearly lit themselves. No crowding, no noise. Our hosts were friendly and attentive. Good craft brewery in Neustadt. We will be back.

This was our very first time doing actual camping and wow what an experience! Terry and Ray were our host and they were SO welcoming and so helpful when ever we needed anything, they’d be there asap. From helping us get daily fresh spring water (the spring water is so cold and clean, loved it) to firewood, even their company, they were so friendly and just pure fun!! The early mornings by the dock with a quiet scenic view to read was peaceful all the way to the cozy set up with the fireplace and some good music and food, we loved every inch of it. We were by the fire with music all the way till 4 in the morning hahah. We were lucky to be the only ones on the camp site so Terry and Ray mentioned to explore the island camp site and even stay as long as we wanted instead of checking out early! There’s even a near by town if you needed more ice or food, and omg we can’t forget to mention their two big beautiful dogs Walker and Hunter, so so so kind!!! The campgrounds was so clean, so safe, and the BEST part, barely any mosquitos surprisingly! Toronto has more mosquitoes which was so surprising but so lovely. We literally didn’t want to leave, to short of a trip. Also there is phone service if needed. We’re going to miss it and miss Terry and Ray and their fun. Everyone who comes here please don’t forget to review because it helps them out so much, they deserve every inch of it, their hard work to maintain everything is to be thankful for. Till next time!!!

Terry and Ray are probably best hosts you can ever meet. Exceptionally kind and very responsible people, they’ve always checked if we have everything we need on the site. The site itself very clean and looks just beautiful, different trees around in the forest, pound with fish, everything is so colourful and each meter gives different vibe. I’ve been there 2 times as of now, and both times are just 10/10. Strongly recommended!

We loved the welcoming committee (hunter and walker)! The camp site was perfect for us even though it rained a bit, we still enjoyed the whole property and loved interacting with our hosts Terry and Ray, they would check in from time to time to make sure we were having a good time and to make sure we had enough water/wood. We can’t wait to go back next year and just might of found our new favourite spot ❤️

We had a fabulous time camping here, it totally exceeded our expectations. Terry and Ray were gracious, friendly hosts. The site is beautiful. It's right on the water and shaded by tall cedars. We were pleasantly surprised by the set-up - a tall pile of firewood, a carboy filled with fresh cold spring water, cooking utensils, a hammock, chairs and tarps hung for shade. The views were lovely and our kids had a great time watching for frogs and snakes. We hope to go back again next summer!

Enjoyable camping trip, dockside full of sun and lovely breeze, island side lots of trees. Beautiful views from both sites. Terry and Ray are wonderful hosts and provide all essentials for memorable camping experience. Location is close to the city in case we forgot anything. Would definitely go back.

Terry and Rays land was absolutely beautiful, quiet and peaceful. They go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. The campsite was also decorated with tea lights and lanterns which adds a cozy, homey touch to the stay. They have tubes available for the pond and there's lots of hiking to do a short 5-10 minutes away. I highly recommend Terry's property for future hip campers. We'll be back! Thanks Terry and Ray!

Terry and Ray and amazing people! Very kind and outgoing. They check in and make sure everything is going good! Had no issues with the directions provided. As soon as you arrive to this beautiful oasis you'll never want to leave. Having an island to yourself and being able to walk around and explore then to floating on pond watching the fish jump out of the water and catching some great sun rays! To relaxing in the hammock listen to the crackling of the fire. Nothing could really get better than this! It was a sad time having to pack up and leave this beautiful place.

Our site was private, swimming pond was lovely. Hosts were very accommodating. Nice to be able to have my dog off leash. Lots of drinking water and wood provided. Terry and Ray have a beautiful property and was grateful they shared it with us.

Dockside was better than I could have ever imagined. Terry and Ray are truly special people who put in such incredible effort to make our weekend unforgettable. With a large group of 17 people camping for the weekend to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, Terry DECORATED the site with balloons, a sign, table cloths. It was shocking. From booking the site until packing up to go home, Terry was extremely communicative, ensuring our group was well prepared and knew everything we needed to know. The campsite is a dream, and Terry made sure we were equipped with fresh drinking water, tons of firewood they cut themselves, and even floaties to swim in the refreshing pond. All weekend, my group couldn’t stop saying how they wanted to come back. Best weekend ever. We’ll most definitely be back.

This was the best camping experience we’ve ever had. Terry and Ray are incredibly nice people with a gorgeous piece of land. Our pups could roam around off leash and play with theirs and the water around your site is so clear! They will come by and check up on you to make sure you have all the fresh spring water you need right from their property and give you all the information about the land, otherwise you have a very private site with your own pond to swim in! Only one other campsite with a private pond as well. We got lucky and were the only ones there so got to visit both sites and they are beautiful. They are, and should be, so proud of their property. We stayed an extra day because we weren’t ready to leave yet and plan on making this an annual trip, if not more! Could not recommend this camp more. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Terry and Ray!
