I was disappointed with what the actual hike up to the tent was versus reality. I was told it was just a little hill from the parking lot to the tent and then could help if needed. No one was around to ask for help, so we tried… It was 115 feet elevation over 200 meters on loose gravel pulling a 50 pound cart (plus our stuff). When we called the number provided to request help no one answered, my wife left a voicemail… no one ever called back… ever! They just didn’t care. So if you go pack light.

Stayed at the Auraura Tent. About 5 minute hike up to the tent. (Keyword UP).
The experience was well thought out with care and more comforts then I was expecting. Power in the tent with a fan and a lamp. Open the skylights to view the stars at night. A small wood stove for the cooler months and a BBQ. Did you forget your lighter, flashlight or bug spray? Don't worry, they have you covered. A well stocked and very pleasant kitchen was available. (You bring the food).
Some of the off grid elements, like toilets, were a bit different but well documented. The site has lots of trail markers and solar lights to help you get around.
In the end, bring you clothes and food, almost everything else you need is on site.
It was mostly quiet, though I could hear the regular loading and unloading of the nearby ferry.
All in all, a great stay. Would go again.

The whole glamping and community experience is thoughtfully designed. We stayed in the Aurora yurt and loved watching the nearly full moon glide across the sky behind a silhouette of tree tops from our comfy bed. After a long day of riding, we were first daunted by the steep climb up to our lodging, hauling all our gear. It was worth the extra effort and every step when all was said and done. It was a cooler time of the year, so the heated communal kitchen was a welcome and warm respite. The low footprint off-grid details were impressive and very inspiring. It made our first stay in Cape Breton memorable and our desire to come back again very strong.

WOW!! Such a beautiful and unique experience. Went for one night with my boyfriend and we instantly wish we could've booked another night. The property is absolutely phenomenal with everything planned out to the t. Will definitely be returning!!

Everything about Sally's Brook far exceeded my expectations. I expected that we would be roughing it, but nothing about the place was rough. The tent had a comfortable bed and pillows, with a fold out bed for my son. We had electricity, and a power bar to charge our devices. We were even provided with a headlamp and flashlight. The kitchen was fully stocked. Not only were we able to use the pots, pans, and dishes, but they had coffee, cream, and food for us. Every building was brand new, clean and comfortable with high end supplies. It was very posh.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the place. I would really like to go back in the winter to go snowshoeing.
I highly recommend staying here. It is comfortable, inexpensive and the staff were not just extremely helpful but very friendly.

This place is perfect! There are a few types of adorable accommodations to choose from, a very large beautiful shared kitchen and lots of great amenities on the property. The sauna is so cool and was relaxing. The hosts attention to detail is impeccable. Everything was thought of. The property itself is beautiful, with lots of nice nature and a great view. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone! It's just a short distance off the cabot trail and you get to take what's got to be one of the world's shortest ferry rides to get there, haha. I can't wait to visit again, maybe in winter next!

A really nice experience! The host was really welcoming. She texted us during the day to be sure we didn’t get lost. She waited our arrived for giving us lights. Every small intention makes the experience unique and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. Everything was really clean. It was a little cold during the night, but the bed sheet was really warm and heavy. Two chairs with a little table were in a mosquito net just beside the tent. It had also a cooler outside. In the tent, there were beautiful lights and we could see the sky from the bed making the mood romantic (for lovers). It had a sauna on the site (2 min of walk). We had electricity. We are really happy.
