Site was really close to the trails and that was what we needed at the time. It is quite close to a main road so traffic is almost a constant. You can hear the highway in the distance as well. The site had lots of garbage left over but this possibly could have came from ATVS passing by on the trail. It maybe use but others that aren’t camping there. Out house could also use some work. The site is in the middle of lots of houses. Good site if you need a quick place to pull in for a night. Recommend for a quick stay but not long one.

We had a very nice 2 day stay at this campground. We have 2 dogs and it is great to have the single camp site so as not to have to worry about neighboring campers with dogs as well.
The campground itself is very easy to get to in any kind of car, nice and clear/flat space to set up a tent but with a lot mature deciduous trees interspersed providing very significant shade cover during the day (nice and cool wven when really hot)
If you're looking for a bit of a walk you can get into rails to trails
The one adjustment that we had to make was regarding the proximity of the site to the road. While it is definitely far enough back from the road to feel private in terms of visibility, it is close enough that you hear the cars driving by, and it is a medium-busy road. So it is just good to be aware of that variable, and personal preference whether this would bother you or not. I was quite aware of it on arrival the first afternoon/evening but by the second day/night I had adjusted.
And with really only this one consideration, it seems very fair for the price!

Location is very central to Blockhouse and Mahone Bay - great for exploring the area! The location is right next to the road so easy to access but also means there is car noise during the day. It got nice and quite overnight though.

Directions were clear & the land we camped on was lovely and flat. We booked for one night as a last minute decision and loved it so much we ended up staying 2 extra nights!

The site is easy to find, and its a beautiful location in the forest. There’s a place to make campfires, sit around and a toilet, plus the owner offers a tent if needed. Would definitely book again!

We had such a great time! We sat for hours watching the meteor shower above us and the fireflies all around us…our pup loved exploring the site which is quite large. It was quiet for being close to a road and it was a relaxing experience all around…We’ll be back for sure before the summer’s done!! Thanks so much Mitch!
