Great spot with a great view of the effects of the Fundy Bay tidal shift on rivers. The host met us and escorted us to the spot. We parked in a grassy field with beautiful views. We were joined by friends in their own van and it made for a lovely evening.

We called ahead and Quinton met us as we drove in and showed us to the site. We had our choice of spots because we were the only ones there. We watched the tidal bore come up the river and a mild sunset in the orchard. Early in the morning, we heard some ruffled grouse calling. A very peaceful stay.

Don’t believe 1st impressions…true, it does appear junky/cluttered at entrance but site itself was perfect! Great spot, great views, picnic table & fire ring…enjoy the tranquility!

The property was very nice . Pretty view of the river , quiet , peaceful and some wildlife ( Birds , porcupine ans deer . ) Quinton and his grandfather were very welcoming and friendly people . Had a nice roaring fire both nights .We'll be going back as we had a wonderful time .

I loved tent camping at Green Oakes! Beautiful view and lots of privacy. Quinton was very helpful and friendly.
The only item I would caution to anyone who may be allergic to bumblebees there is a neighbouring beehive that is being tended to so just keep your distance if you have allergies to beds.
Other than that 10/10.

What a beautiful spot! Quinton was so nice and very helpful. There was great flat ground for my tent. The walk to the river was short and beautiful. Highly recommend!

This campground is for autonomously camper.
The view to the lake near by is beautiful, but the RV place is a green gras area without any connections to fresh water, electric power and a possibility for emty the black water Tank of the RV. It is an simple, quiet and a little bit tricky to find place. Nevertheless, it was enough for one night stay with out 27ft RV.

Fantastic! Host was very helpful, the view was spectacular, I really enjoyed walking down to the mud and water in the morning. Lots of wildlife, peaceful, would stay here again 10000%!

A beautiful site, peaceful, river view, no bugs— we loved our stay at Quinton’s place! And Quinton was friendly and responsive; we were sure he would have handled and problems promptly, only there weren’t any. Only suggestion would be to place a picnic table on the higher, more level ground. Thanks for a truly refreshing overnight.

This campsite was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Nova Scotia. Not only was the view most impressive, the service Quinton provided almost exceeded it. He replied quickly to texts, was on site within a minute of our arrival, and even cut extra fire wood for free so we could light a campfire for a birthday, along with offering us a piece of next year's honey harvest because he had none on hand.
All that friendliness combined with the excellent location and view too good to be true made us massively enjoy our sadly very short stay here.
Thank you Quinton! Hopefully until some other time!

Quinton was very friendly and accommodating. He always responded quickly to our messages. The view was great and it was exciting to watch the changes in the river. A wonderful place. The only downside was the many mosquitoes.

Very attractive property with good view of the river. We were alone there so privacy was not an issue. Quinton was very friendly and helpful. Close to Truro and river attractions.

It was a gem of a place! We arrived late so it was very dark and we got scared by the old crashed car when you first arrive but once we drove down the dirt road and found found the camping places it was so so nice. We even slept in by accident which is rare. So peaceful. Quinten was very kind and very responsive! Thank you Apple tree for the beautiful dreams.

Awesome host! Quinton helped us set up our air mattresses and get settled. We woke up to an awesome view. Located only 2 minutes away from where we did tidal bore rafting. We did have a bit of trouble finding the place - no signs on the road.

This is reasonably priced and the host was easy to work with and quickly responsive. But there is a lot of junk, both at the house turning into the road back to the site and at the site. It honestly felt 'sketchy' driving in and my wife wanted to turn around. There were literal swarms of mosquitoes there in the evening, too. But it was a quiet place to sleep on a nice spot of grass with somewhat of a view from the river.
Not a place to stay more than one night, at least right now.

When I arrived, I wasn’t sure I was at the right area. Even though the gps told me I was there, the front yard was a junk yard with no signs. The back yard, where i parked my trailer was beautiful. Yet again the beautiful view was dismissed by the garbage at the fire place.

When I planned our vacation this time around I some how managed to leave is a night without accommodations. Looking around we found green oaks on hip camp and it happened to be right down the road from the tidal bore adventure we had the next day. Quinton was great and so where is grandparents. Very easy access to the site and we had a beautiful view. We were even lucky enough to hear the tide come in that night. Cool to see the bees too. Thanks guys for a great stay!
