This place is absolutely beautiful and just what I needed. Connie and Steve's land and home/ranch are beautiful and they were very helpful and accommodating. I felt very safe yet very private. They are wonderful people and are so willing and eager to help in any way they can. I definitely will be going back. This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was the best!!

Bright Star Farm
Great stopover for the night. Steve met us for a quick tour including lots of fun animals and an offer of farm fresh eggs. Luxurious restroom with plumbing after a few days of composting toilets and port-a-johns. Highly recommend.

Bright Star Farm
This was a great camp site with a really nice bathroom. We were given eggs upon arrival and they were delicious. We were able to use the hiking trails. There was a fire pit with 3 chairs and plenty of room for tents. The kids enjoyed looking at the animals. Especially the peacock.

Peaceful and lovely!
Very peaceful and lovely! Connie and Steve were wonderful hosts! They gave us some farm fresh eggs and made sure we had everything we needed! It was wonderful waking up to horses out our window and the other animal sounds!

Awesome Place
This place was awesome! We really enjoy the peacefulness!! Connie and Steve were very nice, they greeted us, brought fresh eggs, explained everything and then gave us privacy! The kids enjoyed petting the animals and running the field!! We had fresh pecans as well!! Very nice place to get your mind off life!! We are coming back for sure!!

First Hipcamp Stay!
My family of five had such a nice stay at Bright Star Farm! We were welcomed upon arrival with fresh eggs and an explanation about everything we needed to know about the property. The hosts were very friendly and they made sure they gave us privacy! Our kids loved all the animals, especially Rocket! We will definitely be going back.

Bright Star Farm
Some say where the blacktop ends. Not quite the case but it’s where my cell service ended. This was a great place to get away from the distractions of the world. Set up your chairs beside the barn and watch the sunset over the trees. It’s worth it. No light pollution so the stars really shine. Definitely a great place to stay.

Stars, animals, and relaxation
It lives up to its name! There were so many beautiful stars out at night and it was a gorgeous view for sunrise and sunset. My little ones loved all the animals and the hosts were very gracious! They do have a rather vocal rooster who wakes up early if you need to sleep in haha, it was no big deal for us! We loved the farm!

Peaceful
Chairs are provided to savor the lovely sunset view over a quiet pasture on this family farm. Connie and Steve have interesting pets such as Eeyore the Donkey, pea cocks and hens, a yellow rooster, a super friendly cat and green tree frogs. Young children will especially enjoy meeting horses just their size. Since there are no trees by the camp site, bring a shade canopy if you plan to stay during high summer. The rest room has hot and cold running water. Firewood is stacked near the fire pit.

Perfect place for stargazing
This place was a dream! My wife and I love stargazing and wow did Bright Star Farm live up to its name. We were lucky to stay there on a clear night with no moon overhead and it was like being in a planetarium. The campsite is adjacent to a large open pasture that have us spectacular night sky views (we even got to view the Geminids meteor shower). Aside from the views, Steve was a gracious host and made us feel very welcomed and safe on the property. The unique animals they keep on the farm (mini-horses, peacocks, etc) made it for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Highly recommend!

Cozy Farm Camp Life
Our first camping experience ever. Truly unforgettable. Steve was very welcoming and showed us around where all the amenities were. Campsite was super clean and maintained. We felt very safe. Will definitely be staying there again.

AMAZING RV SPOT
This was an absolutely enchanting spot, made even better by two kind and thoughtful hosts. Our kiddos LOVED the animals, campfire, views, and hospitality. RV hookups worked seamlessly. HIGHLY reccomend.

Great little getaway

Fun Farm. Great Host.
Steve was a great host: communicative, kind, and hospitable. He provided an extra ground tarp for our tent and a half-dozen eggs for the morning! Brilliant. The corn maze wasn't mowed, as in the pictured, so there were less spaces to walk our dogs on the property than we expected, but our girls loved the access to farm animals and we loved the site. Would recommend.

Perfect stopover on the way to OBX
We stopped here on our way to the Outer Banks. Arrived very late at night and found our spot just as expected. Our host was very accommodating and the large, well-appointed bathroom was a welcome bonus. We loved being surrounded by the animals on the farm. The half-dozen fresh eggs were wonderful! Thank you!

Lots of open space, friendly hosts and large site. Enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and onsite firewood, and the kids loved seeing the animals. Nice plus for camping in 2020 - there is an isolated, clean toilet you can use without worries. Overall a good experience, would recommend.

Unfortunately didn't get to visit the farm, It was pouring rain the whole weekend that I was scheduled to stay. The host was very understanding and willing to provide a refund, I can't wait to reschedule😄
