Creek crossing!
This is a great family themed cabin with no neighbors in sight. It’s well equipped with board games, cooking stuff, and a large yard with several lounge areas. My partner and I visited with our adventure cat who enjoyed exploring the area surrounding the cabin. The hot tub was a huge plus during the colder fall months and there was plenty of hiking nearby to keep us busy. The tap water is aquifer fed and tasted clean. If you want to drive up to the cabin’s front door you need to cross a shallow creek. A sedan might scrape but our suv was fine.

Amazing place
We loved the place! Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We felt at one with nature and with the convenience of a well designed house. Outdoor space was a great bonus, especially the grill and fire pit. Guest Wifi for cell phone wasn't working but the place was excellent in every other respect.

Nice house but no hot tub.
Small, cozy house and beautiful property, but hot tub was not functioning. While the owner returned text messages, there was no effort to explore what the problem was or potentially fix it. There are many similar rentals in the area, but we booked this one because my family was very excited to relax in the hot tub each day. It's a shame, because otherwise everything was very nice.

If you are looking for a peaceful, cozy, secluded cabin with everything you could possibly want or need...LOOK NO MORE....THIS PLACE IS PERFECT!!! Gerard (the owner) really has thought of everything. He was a fabulous host and was very accommodating. The cabin is secluded, has a huge yard and is surrounded by beautiful trees. You really do feel like you have the whole woods to yourself. And when I say this place has everything, I mean everything! There are a couple different lounge set ups in the yard, a hammock, a BBQ, volleyball/badminton net with everything you need to play, jacuzzi, outdoor shower and fire pit with wood already chopped and easily accessible. During the day, our dogs and us loved running around the yard and exploring the surrounding woods. It was beautiful to see all the fall leaf colors and tons of different wild mushrooms. And our evenings were perfect also. What is better than stargazing while relaxing in the jacuzzi with a fire in the fire pit? The inside of the cabin was cozy and clean and had all the necessary essentials and more. It rained one of the days that we were there but we cozied up to the wood burning stove and played board games that Gerard supplied and then watched movies on the large TV that had most of the apps and excellent surround sound. We took a couple of trips to the small town. The crystal store in the town was amazing if you are into rocks and crystals. And there are many great hiking spots nearby. Sams Point, Verkeerderkill Falls and the Ice Caves are a must if you enjoy hiking. Our trip was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for. We really couldn't have had a better stay. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for everything, Gerard!

A MUST! Relaxing Cabin in the Woods
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GEM! I stayed here with two close friends to spend the weekend outside of the city. The house had everything we needed to cook, sleep, and relax and we spent the majority of our time outdoors in the hot tub, playing badminton, and enjoying out little piece of woods. We also had a wonderful time exploring Wurtsboro and nearby towns including the nearby farmers market in Ellenville, Westwind Orchard for cider and pizza, and Arrowood Farm Brewery in Accord. I would love to come back to do more exploring and hiking in the area, and Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat is the perfect hoping off point to do so.

Wonderful woodland setting
We had a wonderful short stay here. The cabin is in a glorious peaceful woodland setting with a stream and beautiful trees. We enjoyed all the places to sit out including the hammock, fire pit and dining areas. The hot tub was great and we even had deer walk into the garden. The cabin was cosy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need for a break. Gerard has thought of everything. We can't wait to visit again.

Ok
It was a nice cabin. Beautiful scenery with a lot of amenities. Besides the host not answering his phone at all when I needed help with power outage. Power was out for the whole day mind you. You’re in the woods alone with no signal or other cabins nearby. Everything else was fine.

Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
We had an absolutely delightful weekend stay at the Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat. It's peaceful and secluded, but close to several charming small towns for anything you may need (grocery stores, gas, restaurants, etc). The cabin was clean and fully equipped with all the essentials (kitchen supplies, bathroom items, linens, towels, and paper products). The outdoor space has everything you'd need and want, too. We loved the hot tub and grilling station, complete with all the utensils and plenty of propane. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. I highly recommend to anyone interested in a woodsy retreat!

Best Glamping experience
What a wonderful place to stay in for a weekend getaway trip. Me and my friends had such a great time staying at this cabin. It’s located right in the woods but its still close to a small town. The cabin itself was super cozy, had all that one needs for a perfect stay including heaters. The best part was the outdoor area - badminton net, area for campfire, cozy hammock to lay in and chill. Also it’s very close to Lake Minnewaska so one can go hiking during the day and relax at the cabin in the evening. All in all a perfect place for a cute cozy and comfortable stay in the woods !

Perfect weekend in the woods
We had the most perfect weekend at this location. The cabin was clean, cute, and cozy. We made great use of the outdoor space, especially that fantastic outdoor shower. There’s also plenty of great hikes, breweries, wineries, and more within driving distance. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this site.

We can’t wait to come back!
This place is awesome, I don’t have one bad thing to say! It was quiet and secluded but close enough to the small town nearby and hiking trails. There was a swimming hole nearby we went to our first day and it was so pretty and the water was refreshing. Gerard left directions to all the points of interest around the area which helped so much!! We made a bonfire every night, played badminton and laid on the hammock In the shade during the day. Gerard made sure our stay was perfect and I will be back! ps- the beds were super comfy and the entire house was sparkling clean

We had a great relaxing time at this property. The outdoor space was amazing. Between the expansive yard with a hammock, outdoor seating, fire pit, grill, outdoor shower and volleyball court and the surrounding forest we were secluded but had all the necessities. We saw deer running through the woods multiple times and even saw a bear crossing the road. Our dog was in her glory, roaming around the beautiful property. The house was stocked with more than just essentials. It was clean and comfortable. Our host was quick to respond to text messages and shared with us local fishing spots. We definitely would love to go back again!

Cute rustic cabin in the woods.
Gerald’s cabin was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and do some great hiking. The cabin had everything you could possibly need for a weekend getaway: towels, sheets, blankets, anything needed for cooking and bbqing, even shampoo and soap if we needed it. We felt at home in the mountains. FYI The steps to upstairs are very steep but we were fine with it. There was an air conditioner upstairs so the cabin stayed very cool which was nice because it was about 90 all weekend. The outdoor shower was great! We didn’t even bother using the indoor one. The property is beautiful and secluded. I think we saw a handful of cars go by the whole time we were there. Our dogs loved running around the huge yard. If you’re up for an adventure put on some boots and go hike The Neversink Gorge Trails about 20 minutes away. Lots of beautiful waterfalls, but be warned it can get a bit muddy. We loved it because it was a lot less crowded than Minnawaska on the weekend. You can tell Gerald is working on upgrading his family cabin and we appreciated the modern touches combined with rustic charm of a cabin that has been in the family for years. We would love to visit again in the winter and test out the wood stove.

Very bad day
I get that we are all struggling right now, but we have to check our behavior towards one another. In the end I got a full refund. To add I had a tragic death right before Wurtsboro. I wanted to reschedule but Gerard did not answer my communication. I arrived(3 hr drive) he looked at me through the window- weird. He wasn't expecting me. Finally came out arguing with me mostly about why I was there when I just had a death. Enough said.

Charming Retreat
Gerard’s house was a wonderful retreat. That cabin feel with extensive outdoor space. We were able to grill and have a bonfire multiple nights - and we were even allowed to bring my pets along! The hot tub did not work, however, Gerard was very attentive to the matter and had someone there right away trying to fix it. I’m looking forward to my next stay there!

The perfect getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay at Gerard's place! This quaint cabin has all the charm and character you would want in a mountain retreat. The outdoor space is really what won us over- plenty of seating areas for outdoor dining or relaxing, plus a hammock, a volleyball net, a fire pit, an outdoor shower. The perfect escape for spending some time outdoors. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working for our stay. Gerard was very communicative and responded right away with some troubleshooting ideas, and even sent someone over the next day to take a look at it. Hopefully the next time we book it will be up and running because we WILL be back! We can't wait to book our next trip at Gerard's. Highly recommend!
