A Rougher Experience Than Expected
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by rain, which quickly turned the already steep and rough driveway into quite a challenge. Unfortunately, we struggled to locate our campsite and soon realized that it was not accessible for our 19’ Pleasure Way camper. As a result, we set up camp in our designated parking spot.
Venturing outside to prepare for the night, I found myself trudging through mud instead of gravel, which inevitably made its way into the camper with me. My shoes were covered in mud, and it was a bit frustrating to deal with, especially after we had anticipated a smooth evening.
After reaching out for assistance, we learned that the site we had booked weeks in advance was actually intended for campers who were willing to carry their gear up a steep hill. It was a misunderstanding that left us feeling quite disappointed, as we hadn’t expected a site meant for backpackers when we were traveling in our camper.
For those seeking a rugged camping experience, this might well be the right fit. However, it did leave us feeling a bit let down, and we’ve decided that we won’t be returning in the future. Despite our experience, I truly wish them the best in their endeavors.
