Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat is an Award-winning Glamping Nature Retreat. We are centrally located on the Sunshine Coast (only a 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay) on a spectacular 10-acre ocean-view property. We run a small, organic farm and host guests in intriguing tiny homes and glamping tents. We have everything from a converted schoolie with a woodstove and an ocean view, furnished RV's with large decks, to gorgeous, furnished campsites in the woods. Check out our micro cabins, RV's, and assortment of glamping tents. Our property is a nature oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just 20 minutes north of Sechelt, we're close to beaches and lakes. Enjoy our recreation area with a large pond (much smaller in the summertime), our small playground for young kids, and our small orchard with several small ponds. Explore our walking trails, visit our chickens, or sit near our seasonal waterfall. There are many spots on the property to sit and chill. We've also been Airbnb hosts for over 13 years. If you come during campfire season, please bring your firewood. You're also welcome to scavenge for dead dry wood on the property, but we no longer have firewood for purchase. Typically, gas stations and some grocery stores have some for sale.

This large, flat site is ready for campers who bring their own gear. It's not designed for RV's or campers. It's surrounded by forest but is still open to the sky. Part of the site is shaded, as it's tucked more into the woods, but the site also gets sun for most of the day, so it's perfect for camping. There is a firepit, two chairs and a patio table for your convenience. It's a short walk to the on-demand hot water outdoor shower or either of our two compost toilets. For your convenience, we now allow campers to park directly at this site. This campsite can fit one large tent or two smaller tents. For convenience, we provide you with a blue water jug with potable water.

It's surrounded by forest but is still open to the sky and it has a view down over our pond and even a small ocean view. Part of the site is shaded, but the site also gets sun for most of the day, so it's perfect for camping. There is a firepit, and a picnic table, as well as some camp chairs. It's a short walk to the on-demand hot water outdoor shower or either of our two compost toilets. For your convenience, we allow campers to park near this site in the designated parking space. This site is for tents, not RVs, as there is a very short walk between the parking space and the tent site. This campsite can fit one or two large tents or several smaller tents. For your convenience, we supply you with blue water jugs with potable water.

Our cozy glamping school bus offers a truly unique stay, set among the forest with a spectacular ocean view. This converted “schoolie” combines comfort and creativity with a peaceful natural setting. Inside, bamboo flooring and warm wood accents create a welcoming space. The bus features a very comfortable queen-sized mattress with ample storage underneath. A cozy loveseat faces the ocean view and can accommodate a young child for sleeping if needed. A movable desk positioned toward the view provides a comfortable workspace with reliable internet via Starlink, making it a great spot for reading, working remotely, or simply enjoying the scenery. Please note that the interior ceiling height is 5’10”. The fully equipped kitchen includes two convection hot plates, a toaster oven, a Magic Bullet blender, and a small fridge with a freezer, along with the essentials needed for preparing simple meals. For comfort in all seasons, the bus includes a wood stove as well as an electric oil-filled heater for colder weather. The bathroom area features a sit-down shower with a private window and a Nature’s Head composting toilet with a peaceful forest view. Guests staying less than one week are asked to bring their own queen-sized sheets. Pillows, a duvet, towels, dishwashing cloths, and drying towels are provided. If a child will be sleeping on the loveseat, please bring appropriate bedding for them. Guests are welcome to explore the surrounding 10 acre property, including our orchard area, ponds, loop trail through the woods, and organic gardens.

The loft ladder hooks onto the bookcase, leading you to the charming loft bed. The double bed, little window for evening airflow, and sloped ceiling make this cozy loft truly magical. We’ve set up a mirror at the foot of the bed so you can enjoy looking out the window while sitting in bed. The loft also includes a removable rechargeable light that works well as a reading lamp. Inside, the custom couch converts to a double bed and includes three large pull-out storage drawers. The cooler with a supplied ice pack will keep your food nice and fresh. We provide plastic totes to store your food in. For entertainment, there is a good selection of books, a simple sound system and some games. The site features a large deck, patio furniture, and a small gas barbecue. We have a beautiful pond recreational area, plus a small orchard with two smaller ponds and many special spots to sit and enjoy nature on the property. NOTE: The ponds dry or shrink out during the hot summer months. If you’re coming with a pet, please bring a bed or clean blanket for it to sleep on. Love the micro-cabin. It is very compact and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed the firepit and kitchen. Kito was very healpful and even provided us with extra heater. The water in the outdoor shower is very cold so it could be improved. But im sure that Kito will immediately fix it if you message him. We didnt need to use it during that time so it wasnt a problem for us. Overall, it is a nice place and very private. We also enjoyed the trail.

Converted School Bus - Ocean View

Overall, the School Bus provided us with a cozy, fun environment for a few days on the Sunshine Coast. However, a number of specifics fell short of the promises made in the posting, pre-trip emails from the host, and the comprehensive manual provided on site. When we began meal prep on our first day we found dirty forks, a dirty pot and a broken wine glass in the kitchen. The hot water was not working when we arrived. The hosts responded quickly, replacing the heater. Unfortunately, the shower not only didn’t at first have hot water but the temperature control appeared to be malfunctioning so that it was almost impossible to get anything but very hot or very cold water after the heater was replaced. The hot water problem was never adequately addressed during our stay. We found a similar complaint from guests staying in 2023. Lighting in the kitchen area is poor. LED lights were described in the manual as being controlled by a remote. After some searching, we found a remote with no battery. We notified the hosts but no action was taken. These issues could all be fixed either by repairs or better quality control when preparing the bus for guests, but given the current situation I would hesitate before recommending Tiny Secrets to friends or family. In addition, we suggest more information be provided in advance regarding the maintenance required for the composting toilet. While we knew we would not have a flush toilet, we did not expect to have to empty a urine tank.

Micro Cabin with Deck in the Woods

I would recommend for my low maintenance friends as the pee toilet in the cabin is a separate room with a seat, however is a 20gallon paint bucket that you do have to clean. This didn’t bother me, but may bother some. I didn’t shower when I stayed because the shower was very dirty and full of garbage from previous guests. The compost toilet is clean and right around the corner from the cabin. There are workers/helpers/younger (quiet) crew who live on site and are very helpful and wonderful. I loved staying here and will be back. My only concern was the lack of cleanliness of the shower. I’ve posted an updated photo.

Off-Grid A-Frame Micro Cabin

Staying in Karen & Kito's A-frame cabin was a super unique experience! With a solar-powered battery, a little propane heater a stove and BBQ, I had everything I needed to enjoy a lovely night at the Tiny Secrets Farm :) I was able to have the window wall open late into the night. There were no bugs!! It was fun to explore the property, visit the rabbits and chickens and chat with Dan, the caretaker, who was super friendly and made sure I had a great stay! I really loved how quiet and peaceful it was! The shower is rustic but hot water is really all I needed ;)

The positive: The camp site was eloquent, well furnished and the staff was attentive and the amenities great. The negative: it was quite pricey especially since we were charged an extra guest fee for having our toddler with us. The price was higher than the normal price for that weekend too.

Charming Peacock Micro Cabin & Loft

Love this little micro cabin! It was well stocked with everything one could need and oh so cozy. The loft is so fun (gets a little warm at times) and the multi directional windows are great for letting a breeze through. The compost toilet isn’t my favourite but I am grateful for a warm shower (it’s a little inconsistent but it’s not cold!) Dan the groundskeeper and Kito and Karen are all lovely and leave you to relax but are readily available should you need anything. Very kind and receptive hosts. Looking forward to returning one day ☺️

Romantic Bell Tent in the Forest 10

First off , we really enjoyed the area and the help given by Dan at the property. However , the bell tent had visible black mold both inside and outside which was a surprise when we arrived. The campsite had everything we needed but some of the items were old and could do with being replaced or cleaned such as the bbq, cooler etc. The shower was great to have and it had hot water which was good. Would recommend, even more so if these issues were solved.

LG Upper Level Campsite with View

For an overnight stop whilst cycle touring this is a good bet. However, the climb up from the main highway is very steep in parts. But the downhill the next morning is a great start to the day. The shower was VERY hot and needed adjusting. There is only one shower and one toilet so plan your ablutions well in advance.

Charming Peacock Micro Cabin & Loft

Loved the micro cabin, it was perfect. Well appointed, everything you might need save for a toaster. Wasn't super thrilled with the bathroom/shower amenities. There was no hot water for the shower (we let it run a while and water was cold), we expected it would have an on-demand heater like the pictures showed, but that was not the case. So, we did not shower for our stay which was a real bummer.) Toilet was also a bit annoying with the pee diverter and the wood chips to cover your business, but I get why it was necessary. The outdoor sink to wash up after was a little off putting as the towel was always wet ( it was raining) and the water just splashed onto your feet while you washed up. I would have expected a hose would take that water somewhere where it wouldn't splash all over you. Other than these concerns, the place and experience was great. Karen and Kito were well organized and communicated very well and we loved the actual cabin. It was very homey and comfortable. Great job on that guys!.

Adorable, private, cozy little cabin. I loved my stay. Many details show the hosts really care. The cabin was ready with fresh towels, drinking water, ice pack in cooler and propane for the stovetop. It was the perfect place for me to unwind, I look forward to staying here again.

Had a great experience staying here for the weekend. The campsite was very clean, peaceful, and quiet - perfect for relaxing. Definitely recommend!

Moldy “Glamping” experience

Romantic Bell Tent in the Forest 10

If I were you……… I would not stay in the “romantic bell tent”. Upon arrival I discovered the tent covered in mold. Unfortunately I was unable to book anything else last minute and decided to stay. I got sick after spending 2 nights in the tent. The tent needs to be replaced and a dehumidifier needs to be installed to prevent mold growth. Quite disappointing compared to the photos that were presented.

Amazing Cute Place!

Converted School Bus - Ocean View

Lovely place. We stayed in the converted school bus. It was really nice and homie. Only downside is it got really hot during the day and cold during the night but that was easily fixable by opening the windows and doors, and using plenty of blankets at night. Very quiet property and was amazing to see the stars at night as it was also very dark/no light pollution :)

Our spot was very private and quiet. Loved picking the blackberries along the roadway below our campsite! The property was beautiful with lots of trees and other plants.

Bright Cosy - Campsite 15

We had a good stay but our campsite was very close to the neighbouring site. Thankfully they were quiet. The two outhouses and one shower are very busy if most sites are occupied. We’ve stayed here 4 times and likely this will be the last visit.

Ocean View Glamping RV

Myself, my two kids and small dog stayed in the Oceanview RV with deck. The Good: Beautiful location. Informative, responsive hosts. The groundskeeper Dan was super friendly, helpful and patient. The outdoor shower: water pressure and temperature were good. The RV was well stocked with kitchen essentials and some entertainment items (books, cards etc). The Bad: We have some electrical issues a couple times which left us without light and power. Dan was quick to help get it sorted out and get us back on the grid. The Ugly: There were mice in the RV. We heard them on the roof which is fine. We’re camping after all. But then we heard them inside and saw one in the RV in the middle of the night. We found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink in the morning.

RV/Camper Site with Deck

We found the RV site as described. It suited us perfectly for the 4 nights we were there. Dan the property care taker was extremely helpful, pleasant and responsive. The owner Kito was also very helpful in helping to solve our power outage issue. The other campers were quiet. The camp toilet and shower were clean and eco friendly. The only observation we have is that some of the site description was overstated and could lead to disappointment. We would happily come back to the site we used with our converted van in future.

Absolutely fabulous location! The site was very clean and quiet. The tent was so big, and the airbeds were comfy and easy to inflate when needed. We'll definitely be back to check out the cabins and trailers! (:

A Rougher Experience Than Expected

LG Upper Level Campsite with View

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by rain, which quickly turned the already steep and rough driveway into quite a challenge. Unfortunately, we struggled to locate our campsite and soon realized that it was not accessible for our 19’ Pleasure Way camper. As a result, we set up camp in our designated parking spot. Venturing outside to prepare for the night, I found myself trudging through mud instead of gravel, which inevitably made its way into the camper with me. My shoes were covered in mud, and it was a bit frustrating to deal with, especially after we had anticipated a smooth evening. After reaching out for assistance, we learned that the site we had booked weeks in advance was actually intended for campers who were willing to carry their gear up a steep hill. It was a misunderstanding that left us feeling quite disappointed, as we hadn’t expected a site meant for backpackers when we were traveling in our camper. For those seeking a rugged camping experience, this might well be the right fit. However, it did leave us feeling a bit let down, and we’ve decided that we won’t be returning in the future. Despite our experience, I truly wish them the best in their endeavors.

RV/Camper Site with Deck

What a unique little spot! We stayed in the RV site with a deck and loved our little home tucked away but just as much enjoyed the communal aspect of walking the grounds, meeting the animals, picking blueberries/blackberries and saying hi to fellow campers and the groundskeeper. And such great proximity to secret cove where we took a boat ride to buccaneer bay and Halfmoon bay where we enjoyed ice cream and beer at the general store. Would love to know what the place feels like when the campfires are going at night :) thanks to the owners! Recommend for families (we have a 4 and 2 year old) who love being outdoors with little fairy touches.

Converted School Bus - Ocean View

Stayed in the converted school bus for a few days and we loved! It was a great place to come back to after exploring Halfmoon Bay and Sechelt during the day. Super cozy and comfy bed, nice hosts, really easy check in and check out.
