I loved Flores off grid campsite, will be my go to place to stay when visiting golden. Beautiful short walk to waterfalls, camp sites were close together but were private.

Loved the silence in this campsite, very private, felt like the only one around for miles, the waterfalls were very pretty and a nice mountain hike as well! It was a clean site and well taken care of outhouse!

Ignore the bad review on here. Place was what was advertised. Would pop in again. Sadly we didn't get to enjoy any trails around as we're fron ontario and had to split first thing in the morning. Thanks for the sleep 😴

Cute hidden spot in the Forrest. We heard wolfs at night, which gives us a real adventure feeling. Be prepared for mosquitos! We were happy about our mosquito net cause without it would be impossible to stay outside of the tent. They were really hungry!

This spot is truly a hidden gem! 10/10 will be going back. The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful, not to mention just a short beginner hike away. The stars were incredible at night and the mountains were spectacular. The sites are very well maintained, private and it’s extremely convenient as it’s only a 20 min drive to Golden. Truly a magical camping experience!!! I think everyone should take the opportunity to check this place out!

Don’t waste your money!

The site is not as pictures suggest. The RV site is directly next to the road and the waterfalls are over a 15 minute walk away through mosquito infested woods, we had to turn back we were getting bitten so much. It diddnt feel private or secure as it was so close to the road. The mosquitos at our campsite were terrible, you get swarmed as soon as you step outside. Don’t bother, there are far better campgrounds around the area.

Site was well maintained but our site was right next to the road, not too loud. But way too many mosquitoes even spraying your whole body down with many different bug sprays every hour they still somehow came but but I would recommend it. Really nice waterfall to take a shower

Private site. Clean. Quick drive to town. Bring own firewood or grab some before you head up. Waterfall was pretty. Buggy when we were there. Seemed like it was buggy everywhere though, so not specific to camping location.

Cool little spot to camp for the night. Quiet and private. By a road, but hardly any traffic, so it was fine. Waterfall is worth the walk.. 15-20 minutes.. bring your mosquito net!

Excellent site, will be going again

Our three night stay was amazing! We had so much fun and definitely plan to go back again. The site is exactly as described. It is perhaps a bit rougher camping than more typical campsites/rv sites but was made more enjoyable for it. The site is only 20 minutes out of Golden so you have very close immediate access to any necessities you may have forgot There is no service or power so keep that in mind when packing. The roads immediately leading up are, as seen in the other reviews, a bit rough and agree with the 4WD recommendation. Another thing that would have made the unpacking and packing easier was a cart/wagon on wheels as you do have to walk your things from the vehicle to the site. The mosquitoes can be persistent so use bug spray/coils/thermacell etc to help manage and maybe have an enclosed canopy so you have somewhere to relax away from them. There were so many lakes within easy driving distance (less than an hour) for swimming/paddle boarding/fishing. 10/10 would recommend!

Extremely Disappointing

To start this off… I’m not someone who ever leaves negative reviews but this was truly an unacceptable experience. We paid more than $50 a night for this campsite and were incredibly disappointed. When we arrived, we found ourselves in what was essentially a muddy pit in the river, completely swarmed with mosquitoes—surprisingly worse than what I’m used to throughout my overlanding camping travels through Canada. The site was also right off the road, so we constantly heard traffic and people passing by, which made it feel far from peaceful. Throughout our stay, multiple horseback trail rides came directly through our site, with off-leash dogs that actually ate my breakfast while I was cooking. Totally unacceptable. There was a sign pointing to a “bathroom down the trail” (which we weren’t expecting as was stated in the description but got hopeful about), only to walk through more mud to find… nothing. Just another soggy dead-end. To top it off, if this campsite had recently flooded or was in poor condition due to rain, we should’ve been informed ahead of time—especially considering we booked no more than two weeks prior. This site was absolutely not worth the cost. Honestly, we would have had a better experience staying at a rest stop or even pulling off on the side of the road. I have used this app before for multiple camping accommodations and nothing has come close to as awful as this was. Would not recommend.

The RV pad is not as secluded as the other spots. It is right off of a road that has some traffic, but overall it is a nice spot to spend some off-grid quality time. The waterfalls are amazing and 100% worth the hike to get there. Just bring lots of bug spray!

Beautiful area. Waterfall is super cool! Clean sites and outhouse. Tent pad accommodates modest sized tent. Ours didn’t fit, but site was flat enough and big enough to fit beside. BE PREPARED FOR MOSQUITOS! We thought we were prepared, but there’s only so much you can do. Hey, what do you expect, it’s in the middle of dense alpine forest! Overall would recommend only for those who can withstand the relentless little bloodsuckers!

We loved staying on Flores' land. The site was clean, and the surrounding forest was beautiful. The site was closer to the path than anticipated, but there are only two other sites nearby, and they are well spaced out; therefore, we still had lots of privacy. The walk up to the waterfall was also fantastic, as it was peaceful and private, with great views, and it was possible to get pretty close to the waterfall. Although there was no service to provide directions, it was pretty straightforward to find with the signs. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone camping in the area!

Absolutely stunning location, off- grid in the middle of the forest great for camping even for beginners. Super easy to locate no complaints, walking distance to a waterfall perfect for morning showers! Would 10/10 recommend to fellow hikers

Such a cool and private spot! Comfortable and spacious site beautifully nestled in the woods. The walk from parking to the tent site was easy and quick. I’m devastated we did not get a chance to check out the waterfalls as it was pounding down rain and we will not as prepared as we should have been.
