We had a great time! Phil was a great host and we’ll definitely be coming back again!
Loved the old boat heater in the house, did well at keeping us warm!
Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a place to stay out in the kootenays!

Phil's tiny house is a super cute spot and we really enjoyed our time there. He is a super friendly, easy-going host and welcomed us in person when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the property and showed us everything we needed to know about the cabin, like how the solar power systems works and how to turn on the lights. I really enjoyed chatting with Phil and hearing about how he developed his land. The tiny house is rustic but we had everything we needed. It's set in a beautiful forest and at sunset, the sun shines through the trees which had a very magical vibe ✨ It is suuuper quiet there, both at Phil's property and also at Rosebud Lake which we explored the next morning thanks to Phil's kind offer to let us use his canoe which he even drove to the lake for us and picked it up 2 hours later. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the right place for you!

Phil was incredibly kind, and the cabin was absolutely perfect. My son and I went canoeing on the lake and saw so many amazing turtles. It was truly a healing time for us, and we enjoyed it so much.

My girlfriend and I were Phil’s first guests for his tent deck and gazebo and it was amazing. It ended up raining on us and was a little cloudy for the evening but the gazebo was a perfect place to hangout and make supper. The sunrise in the morning was beautiful to watch from above the trees. The view of the mountain range was awesome.
Our tent that we brought was 7’x9’ and hung off the side a little, but we were able to tie it down easily.
Phil was an amazing host and very accommodating. He showed us to the site and even helped us carry our stuff up to the tent deck. We came prepared with potable water and a camp stove but it was also available. The directions to the site were very clear and he was quick to respond with very clear instructions. We would totally stay again!

Beautiful and secluded cabin nestled in the trees. Had everything as advertised and was lovely to have a warm bed on a cool night!

Phil was an incredible host with such a tranquil piece of land. It was a safe space for my daughter and I and Phil was there in a flash if you needed help with anything. We loaded up the canoe and went around the lake. I can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to come back!

Staying at this well-insulated tiny house is calming! The forest, and the view from the hilltop are invigorating. It's easy to paddle the canoe at Rosebud Lake, and fun to spot the turtles! My October stay was warm and dry, with views of larch trees, and mist on the mountains. The outdoor kitchen is easy to use, and the location is easy to find. A sure win for activities in every season!

Phil’s tiny house was so awesome!
A warm welcome to a lovely small cabin nestled into a beautiful wooded property.
Phil is a gracious and kind host who gave an awesome orientation to the cabin and property, and had recommendations about where to stop for a meal on the way there.
The tiny house was equipped with good seating, a comfortable sleeping mattress and we had room for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids).
The outdoor kitchen was easy to use, and the middle of the night stars on the way to the nearby outhouse were out of this world!
