Trappers Cabin
We had a great time Glamping here with our two little boys! It was the perfect way to camp in comfort (and warmth) with them. The cabins/tents and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There was access to running water (non-potable) for dishes. The sauna was brand new and a definite touch of luxury. The staff were so friendly and approachable.

Wow what an experience, the drive up was a bit rough our first time but after the 2nd time it was no problem, our Honda civic got us through no problem! We loved the view from our cabin and enjoyed the sauna and Cold plunge after long days and in the early mornings. And we had Dusty (Campground cat) keep us company during the rain fall in the mornings and cuddles by the fire at night time on our last night. Coming from manitoba to camping in the mountains was an absolute adventure and would/will 100% come back, we had a leak in our cabin but Pete came and sealed it up the next day and gave us a free bundle of wood for any troubles we delt with. I recommend this place highly as its an experience you will never forget! Me and my honey will never forget our adventures there and am glad we found this gem.

The place is quite and there is a beautiful view. The tenants are adorable and very helpful.
I was impressed because there were showers and a sauna ! I can't remember being that on the website when I booked. We could also make our own fire next to our shelter.

It was our first time in the area and at Trappers Hill. We normally head to the National Parks - so glad we didn’t this time!
We stayed in a Trappers Cabin - exceptional view!! with a comfy cabin, rustic and peaceful. The shower facilities and outhouses were well maintained and the camp managers, Pete and Erin (and family) made us so welcome.
We spent some time at nearby Ghost Lake and a hike near Canmore - about 1 hour away. It was a perfect weekend and we already booked again for August.

I discovered this place by chance and chose to stay here as the final stop of my Banff-Jasper road trip.
Although I arrived late, I could instantly feel how amazing this place is.
The sauna was excellent, the cabin was beautiful, and the off-road trail was just perfect everything came together to create such a precious memory.
I highly recommend this place.

Be very careful of the directions you take. The ones provided on Hipcamp took us down a very bad road off the main highway. We were also double booked and turned away upon arrival.

Beautiful view and peaceful place to camp. The trail going to the river has an easy direction and clean. The site is very clean. The staff are all very helpful and nice. Would definitely recommended.

Our stay was excellent. We enjoyed the area and our cabin. Staff was very friendly, provided us with kindling and offered us a heater for the night. Highly recommended, can't wait to go again.

We absolutely adored camping here, at #4 of the glamping cabins! I surprised my fiancé with a trip here as we have had a tough year and wow this was a trip of a lifetime! Directions there were clear and the roads were great as they were freshly grated! Views were the best you’ll see of the Rockies overlooking ghost river. Staff are the friendliest, and kindest people. They truly care and are just the most compassionate and down to earth humans! They showed us the ins and outs of the cabins, including showing us how to use the epic heater which was such a surprise!! We turned on the heater in the cabin and it warmed the whole place up in just a couple minutes which was so luxurious. They have pet goats there too, and a cat named dusty that greet you which creates this adorable sanctuary.
we heard there was someone shooting recreationally nearby, who was not abiding by rules and shot really close to the campgrounds of which trappers quickly and thankfully addressed the situation immediately. They ensured every single camper on-site was safe and taken care of which was so refreshing that trappers staff cared so much about the incident. I am so thankful we stayed here and got the amazing opportunity to meet the wonderful staff who truly care about every camper. If you need an amazing getaway, a comfy, clean, and pinterestey cabin to stay at you NEED to stay here. Seriously such a gem. We will be bringing ALL of our friends here thank you so much Trappers, we loved our stay!

They had a beautiful set up. Solar lights softly glowed so we could see at night. The fire pit and chairs were great. The mattress was so comfy. Whoever I suggest it to, I would be sure they knew about the road there being rough, it so worth it.

Gorgeous location. Great little cabins (remember to bring all your bedding! Basically camping indoors with a comfy bed). Perfect spot to stay and explore a little off the beaten track.
The drive in is beautiful but does get a bit rocky at the end, better suited to a car with a little clearance although a normal car can probably do it just fine.

Trappers Hill's Lodge was a great place to stay when you want to get out of the buzz of the city! It was relaxing, peaceful and in a beautiful location. My best friend and I stayed here while hiking and exploring the mountains; it was the perfect base camp. We had an amazing time and I would 100% recommend staying here!!

Excellent cabins (very clean, neat, great condition, lovely, spacious) with fabulous mountain and river view, bench, fire pit, chairs, and even a desk!!! More importantly, super super kind and responsive owner present there all the time for you to help if needed!

My partner and I were there for only one night but we wish we stayed longer ! The host is the definition of kindness and the cabin is even better than the pictures. The last 8km to Trappers Hill’s land are quite an adventure, we recommend (just like the host did) to have a SUV or a 4x4. The location a little further than the city Canmore (1.25h). There is no service or electrical source to charge your phone so be ready to fully connect with the splendid nature. Also we would recommend to dress warm (take more layers than you think) it can be cold at night. To summarize we would definitely recommend this place and will come back :)

The cabins were amazing the bed were super comfortable! Super cute lites on the outside of the cabin at night!! The staff were extremely friendly and highly attentive would highly recommend!!!!! For a last minute booking turned out to be an amazing weekend :)
