When to go
The Eastern Townships region is a four-season destination where most national parks offer winter camping and a range of snow and ice activities, so in theory, anyone can camp right through the coldest weather, provided you have the right gear. Coaticook can be really busy in July and August, but spring is pretty and fall may be the best time to visit, as it is usually still warm and the changing of the leaves is spectacular.
Know before you go
- You’ll find it difficult to get around this region without a vehicle. Roadtripping from Montreal before heading out to the Eastern Townships may be your best option.
