We provide a full bathroom with a stand up shower which is possibly shared with other guests as we also have cabins and vintage trailer to accomodate guests like you, and a port-a-jon is on site. At the restroom you will find a drinking water hose for your water needs. An outdoor cooler is beside your tent (don't forget the ice) and a comfy bench to relax at. Nearby you will find trails, boat launch, Oil Museum, eagle/deer sightings, grocery, local food, banks, parks. Or if ya'd just like to stay and join us at Crossroad Saloon (on property) to kick back and watch T.V. and tunes in the a/c! Offering a serviced camping site for tents for up to 4 persons, with a firepit, hammock chairs, rustic toilet, shower, a large deck with bar-height table and chairs, floating dock, garbage and recycling bins, canoe and private 1.5 acre lake! Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway. Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind. Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.
