Living close to Georgian Bay, I’ve always wanted a waterfront property and I always believed in my heart that I will be blessed with one someday. After our family’s first camping trip to Manitoulin Island, my husband and I fell in love with “Spirit Island” and decided to find our own special place. Around Thanksgiving weekend of 2019, after several trips back and viewing a dozen properties, our search for a land was finally over and our wish came true. God was and is indeed faithful and in His own sweet time, has blessed us with a beautiful land. It has been quite a journey and with God’s grace, our place has been such a Sweet Oasis! We took our truck camper to Sweet Oasis and weren’t disappointed at all with the view! Spacious and fairly private. The properties around are long and narrow so the neighbours are quite close but hidden by lots of foliage! It did seem like the neighbours were having a party a couple of the nights we were there so I might be mindful of that if you’re looking for a quiet getaway…The water was lovely (I’d recommend water shoes as it’s quite rocky) we had a nice dip and took out the SUP board. Great way to cool off! Liza was extremely responsive and kind and would highly recommend a stay!!

My wife, our dog, and I had a great time staying here for 2 nights. The trailer is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. We would definitely consider coming back in the future.
The only downside was that the site we chose offered almost no privacy, and the neighbouring site was very crowded and noisy with over 14 people, two tents, and three cars. I was under the impression that trailers usually have a maximum of 4 guests, so this was a bit unexpected.
Overall, a good experience and a nice spot, but something to be aware of depending on the site you choose.

Cabinco 8 was nice. We were able to launch our kayaks directly out back of the cabin which was convenient. The cabin was clean and spacious. Our youngest grandson and his parents enjoyed fishing off the main dock. It was also very affordable. Thanks again

My wife and I absolutely loved our time at Sweet Oasis. Sweet Oasis offers a beautiful view of the sunrise and a perfect view of the night sky. An absolute must for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The space also has plenty of seating, tables and a great fire pit. Liza was a kind, great and communicative host! It's very serene, secluded and quiet. Do not miss your chance to book this spot, you won't regret it.

A nice quiet spot on shore of large lake in southern part of the island so close to ferry crossing. Site is large with many private spots with porch swings or tables and chairs in addition to huge open space. Shoreline is rocky but once past that, water does drop off so nice for swimming at that point. Huge lake would be great for windsurfing once out a little bit.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Cabin Co RV! The RV itself was really clean and comfortable, and the whole property was quiet and peaceful. At night, the view of the stars was absolutely breathtaking, making it such a relaxing and memorable getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape!

Zero compliants. Quiet during the week, wonderful people to meet that are there. Service recpicion isn't the best or the wifi, bit that's not on them. Trailer 23 was pretty private. I looked for a sink plug to do the dishes and they told me not to worry about it, cleaning crew does is. Beautiful spot, wonderful place to stay.

We stayed in Cabinco# 2 from July 23-26, 2025. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The trailer was clean and well equipped. We had an issue with hydro in the slide out of the trailer and Leroy’s team was quick to respond. There were few visitors during the week but Friday night the place filled up quickly. Even with the abundance of people it remained peaceful with no overly loud music or voices. Our vacation was with extended family and 4 sites were stayed in. Each site was unique and clean. This was the second time for one family and first for the rest of us. I would highly recommend Cabinco for a peaceful and relaxing spot to get away from the hustle of life

Bruce Peninsula National Park
Surrounded by rock slabs stretching out from the shore into Georgian Bay, Bruce Peninsula National Park is a superb location for summer swimming and hiking. Miller Lake offers treed campsites for pitching a tent and waterfront cottages for added luxury. Or choose Cyprus Lake Campground as a home base, and hike the 45-minute Bruce Trail to The Grotto, a cave featuring craggy rock formations sprinkled with clinging pine trees and a spacious natural pool inside—a solid spot for cliff jumping. Be sure to book advance parking reservations if you plan on driving—spots fill up quickly. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing dominate the trails in winter, but certain areas of the park may be inaccessible due to snowy conditions.
Fathom Five National Marine Park
A bucket-list destination for snorkelers and divers, Fathom Five National Marine Park has 130 square kilometres of water to explore, including 22 shipwrecks and islands with old-growth forests. Take a glass-bottom boat tour to peer into the depths of the freshwater ecosystems, or visit Flowerpot Island to see the solitary stacks of escarpment dotting the beaches. Independent types can opt for kayak and canoe rentals to venture out on their own.
Manitoulin Island
Manitoulin Island boasts the title of the world’s largest freshwater island. Arrive by ferry from the mainland (a two-hour trip), or drive over the iconic swing bridge (an Ontario heritage site). Kids love the sprawling green space, water park playground, and a midday snack at the picnic tables in Low Island Municipal Park. When to go

Winter weather from November to early March brings snowy activities and crisp scenery, but some may consider bundling up and snagging an RV campsite to fend off the chilly temps that dip well below freezing.
