Absolutely Stunning and Peaceful Escape! 🌲💦
We just returned from an incredible stay at this beautiful campsite and couldn’t be happier. The scenery was breathtaking — especially the waterfalls, which were not only gorgeous but so much fun to explore. There were plenty of well-marked trails that made hiking easy and enjoyable for all skill levels.
The host was fantastic — welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing nature getaway!

A nice old schoolhouse lot with pool hot tub gazebo and firepit spots. It is close to provincial parks and the caves. Eva’s kitchen offers a wide variety hungarian meals. They are always fresh and very tasty. Eva and Sandor are excellent hosts. In this old schoolhouse inn you feel yourself just like you are in Grandma’s home and treated as good friends or family members

Nice big open space with a fire pit set up, lots of firewood around that Chris allowes us to use, and a folding table for preparing food. Beautiful view of the stars but also nice and private, short drive to a lake beach. 10/10!

We went tent camping at Ray and Melissa’s and it was fantastic!! We got to pet chickens, alpacas, and we learned so much on our alpaca walk. In the evening, we settled in with our campfire and watched hundreds of fireflies dancing on a field of wildflowers. Such a perfect camping spot, I can’t recommend enough!

Wasn’t a marker to find the property but a quick call and we were able to find the site no problem. There’s 2 sites on this property, wish I was able to get my camper up the the back site but having the front site was nice and easy to pull in and out since it was a pull through but close to road and back site is more for tents. Lots of dragon flies, wild flowers, berries and trails. We brought water shoes with us due to other reviews and glad we did. Had a lot of fun walking up the creek in the water to check out and cool down in all the falls. We walked all the way up to the pond where there’s a third fire pit area. There’s locals that like to walk through the property to hike the falls but once they realized we were setting up camp they politely and respectfully left. This is a place that I’d like to come back to since we like the area and is nice to have the property to ourselves. Bonus is the public beach 7min drive from site which we enjoyed having to ourselves twice over the weekend.

Absolutely amazing experience! This is my second time and I will definitely be coming back. Such kind and responsive owners. The tent is set up in the best way ever and is super cozy. Amazing for anyone looking for a getaway that's nature-centred but wants to do more glamping than camping.

truly believe this is one of the best campsites on Hipcamp. The site itself is expansive — the main clearing spans a few acres on Chris’s beautiful 100-acre property, which is surrounded by thousands of acres of peaceful Crown land. If you’re looking for a rustic, forested camping experience with the convenience of easy vehicle access, this place is perfect.
It’s ideal for groups, incredibly private, and exceptionally quiet. The site is clearly well-maintained, and the outhouse was one of the cleanest I’ve seen. You’re just a short drive from both the beach and town, making it convenient while still feeling completely off the grid.
A real highlight of our trip was meeting one of Chris’s adorable potbelly pigs — a memorable visit that brought so much joy. Chris is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about them, and his love for these animals really shows if you have questions about potbelly pigs he’s the guy to ask he is an expert. I’m already looking forward to coming back and seeing Mr. Palulu the potbelly again!

We had a great weekend camping here. Close to the road but not very busy, and nice to be along the river/a short walk from the falls. The public beach close by is also worth visiting, and it's a beautiful lake.
Might be a little hot in the summer months as there's not much in the way of shade, and unfortunately our May stay was during black fly season, but overrall would recommend if the provincial parks are full/you're looking for something a little different!

Loved the camping site was very private and really cool. Outhouse was clean. Whosever planning for private and fun trip for a group go ahead without any thought.
Host is really nice, we checked-in dark so couldn’t find the location, he still helped us late in night.

1 night at Pedja’s Tree House
5 out of 5 stars overall. Great price. Very secluded location. Wildlife and nature. Very accommodating host who drove me and my stuff to the tree house. Laneway too much snow and too narrow for cars. Ok for off-road cars and bikes.
Tree house looked brand new. Tiny wood stove with firewood provided and a built in kettle keeps you warm. I recommend getting a winter sleeping bag. USB plugs in lighting fixtures can charge smartphones.
The scenery looked amazing. Saw a deer passing through. Would love to come again.
