Bear Lake Experience is a 42 Acre wooded property , with so much nature to explore . This is a real back to nature experience , close to home .   Our 15 sites have 30 Amp power and are nestled along the  2 acre spring fed lake. 

The property has been in our family for nearly 100 years, we are the 3rd generation that has enjoyed this unique hidden gem.

We look forward to sharing our experiences with everyone that comes

Secluded River Flats Camping

River flat off-grid camping on a spacious 10-acre parcel of land, with private access to Hopkins Creek and nearby Maitland River. Enjoy the expansive and peaceful campsite with great scenic views, private nature walking trails, fishing in the creek and river, bird and wildlife watching. There is even a bald eagle's nest within view of the campsite! Plenty of space for lawn games. Four-legged friends are certainly welcomed and campfires are permitted.

Local attractions include:

- Beaches in Goderich: Sunset Beach, Goderich Main Beach, St. Christopher's Beach, Rotary Cove Beach, Black's Point Beach

- Beaches in Bayfield: Bayfield Pier Beach, Howard Street Beach, Houston Heights Beach

- Road cycling through beautiful, rural scenery and diverse landscapes through Huron County

- Fishing in Hopkins Creek or in the Maitland River

- Canoe or kayaking in Maitland River (if water levels allow)

- Hiking trails nearby: Lobb Trail, Falls Reserve Conservation Area, Bannockburn Conservation Area, Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area, Menesetung Bridge / Tiger Dunlop Trail, Maitland Trail / G.A.R.T.

Welcome to Camping on Ridge!

There is a large clearing for your tent/RV/Trailer and fire pit on our private wooded 50-acre country setting. Large pond for on-site fishing (catch & release). The sites are suitable for 1-2 tents, 2-4 people.  1 vehicle. The additional vehicle is $5/night. We offer the use of a bathroom facility. Firewood is available to purchase along with farm-fresh eggs. 

Short drive to amazing beaches on Lake Huron, rivers for those who love canoeing/kayaking, provincial park, wineries, cider houses, and craft breweries. There are many golf courses in the area if you’re in search of a golfing weekend. You will not be disappointed!

This whole area is cut and groomed for camping. Better pics coming soon!!

Hawkins Retreat

Hawkins Retreat is a 25 acre farm that consists of workable land and mixed wood lot. There are trails through the bush and the beautiful Port Albert Beach is a 4 minute drive away. 
The G2G (Goderich to Guelph) trail head is a 15 minute drive away in beautiful Goderich Ontario.
Beautiful Goderich Ontario is a short 15 minute drive north of the property. There you will find many dining and shopping options.

Port Albert Beach is a 5 minute drive from your site. It is a stunning beach. Please watch for the signs that warn of undertow. 

Gorgeous Goderich is a 15 minute drive from your site.

Bright's Grove Bayou

Located less than half a kilometre to downtown Bright's Grove yet secluded privacy on our farm. 

Our 180 acres property boasts deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, and more wildlife. 

The tremendous diversity of our land allows camping in the bush, in a meadow, and by an active creek. Perfect for beautifully shaded sites for tents in a maple grove! 

Our campsites are extremely private and shaded yet within a 2 minute walk to major conveniences like Tim's, Shoppers, Foodland, restaurants, Veterinarian clinic, etc, and of course the LCBO.

Walking distance to most attractions such as beach, groomed trails, eateries, playgrounds, shopping, ect. Google our site and you'll see how close yet how private and secluded your camping will be!

We LOVE pets cause they're family too! Even though our property is very private and secluded, please keep your pets on a leash. It's for their safety as well as the peace of mind from other campers and wildlife.
