Welcome to Laurenwood Farm! New for 2024: Due to health reasons the farm is fallow this season. It is still a quiet, peaceful escape to the country and you can enjoy all of the amenities but there will be no veggie boxes this season and there are fewer animals to visit. We do have some items available such as honey and syrup. The farm is a 100-acre working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful little fish pond. Fresh organic veggies and farm-fresh eggs are available seasonally. Guests are welcome to wander the trails, check out the pond and gardens, and have a guided tour to experience meeting the animals. Nearby are several conservation areas and access to the Bruce Trail. Walking, biking or horseback riding is very pleasant on the quiet country roads around. There are many local fairs and festivals in the surrounding villages, such as the Beeton Honey Festival and Tottenham Bluegrass Festival. We have three different listings, a cottage, a barn loft, and a tent/RV site. We look forward to hosting you!

The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. A beautiful and accessible but secluded spot! Great for a relaxed car camping experience. The host was helpful and responsive. Fire pit and provided chairs/picnic tables were all in excellent condition. Bathroom also excellent and clean. 10 / 10 would camp again!

Wonderful setup and lovely location. Up on a hill surrounded by trees giving lots of privacy. Great clean and cozy outhouse/washroom facility. Lots of seating provided with brand new picnic tables for adults and kids. I am an avid kayaker and the Black River is just steps away. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again.

Weekend Trip to The Farm
Elana and family were wonderful hosts! I booked a few days just to “get away” and reset, and this was a perfect spot to do so. The animals (mini donkeys, oh my goodness!, the goat who welcomed me alongside Elana, the ducks that swam around the pond…) and the “Enchanted Forest” were highlights. I would have stayed longer (much longer!) if I could, and hope to be back next year… maybe to see baby donkeys or Highland cows? :) Thanks so much for a lovely weekend.

Woody and Elana were the kindest and most welcoming hosts, their camping area was absolutely stunning with the peaceful sounds of nature and animals. Their home and farm was the cutest and they have fresh eggs for sale which were amazing too! If you’re considering where to go camping I would wholeheartedly recommend camping here! Our stay at the Robyn's nest was very enjoyable! Ronald and Robyn are great, friendly hosts that have maintained a beautiful property. Not only have they provided a fully functional washroom on site, but they take the time to clean it regularly. There are also many things to do nearby. Great spot to camp. Great hosts ! Easy directions. Flat site to camp on after a short steep hill access. Deer, wild turkeys, loon & more Right across the road from a beach where you can swim and a white water racecourse where you can watch people playing, and or racing in the rapids. A clean washroom as well. I short drive in to town makes it one of the best places I’ve camped. Thank you, Robyn & Ronald !

Weekend Trip to The Farm
We had an amazing time, reflecting and relaxing. We stayed by the water and it was really beautiful listening to the water. The farm tour was awesome, I even got the help feed the pigs 🐷 which was really a highlight for me as they are one of my favourite animals. The donkey is the cute and so good looking and very well mannered. Frenchie and dumpling and the other goats are free range and super friendly! So many animals all well behaved! The cows were beautiful! Everything was beautiful and brings you back to earth! I would recommend this place anyone who loves animals and nature! If you don't like nature this place isn't for you, as you can meditate and reflect on your life to become one with nature. The family is super knowledgeable and very welcoming. I feel like they welcomed my partner and our dog in as apart of there family for the weekend! Just remember to bring a camping toilet and a table. This place deserves a 10 star rating out of 5!!!! Thank you for allowing us to have a beautiful weekend! And experience this amazing experience 💖🫶

What a treasure! From such a warm welcome by Ronald and his wife, the beauty of the land that we camped on and the raved about bathrooms (yes they are soo clean!) Hubby and I wanted to stay longer as this HipCamp is nested between Horseshoe Lake and Minden's Wild Water Preserve- literally at the end of the driveway! Lots of activities /games available on property for you to use at your leisure. The ambiance from the rapids was dreamy We will be making another visit soon!

This place is amazing. Nice flat spot to setup camper. Although there was a fire band on the fire pit look amazing with lots of gravel and stone around. Hopefully next next we can use it. The outhouse was amazing so clean and fresh with the pine shavings for the toilet. Made it smell nice.

we loved tent camping at robyn’s nest, great campsite and slim shady is highly recommended (and not just because of the name). bathrooms were clean and the lake was just a stones throw away from the site, with a easy access boat launch. 10/10 would book again!

We had a great time camping on Kristina’s land! The property is beautiful and has lots of space. We also really enjoyed having the outhouse with the hand wash station, which was very clean. I’d definitely recommend this site and would for sure come back in the future!

It was an amazing getaway weekend!!! Ronald and wife are very accommodating and friendly, they don’t mind spending time just to check if guest are all good and having fun! Very clean, quiet, and washroom is well maintained, Area is just a walking distance from lake and river. You’ll never get board in the camp site, they set up plenty of activity that all ages can play with, mini park for kids as well, Highly recommended and planning to be back soon!!!

Robyn’s nest is one of the best camping sites so far. Both couple are very accommodating, kind and they’re always making sure we’re doing well in our site. The washroom is well maintained, clean and smells good. So many fun activities/games they prepared to make your day fun and enjoyable experience. The site are just a few minutes walk down the beautiful, calm Lake and Stunning Running water River that you surely gonna enjoy the cool water from the river. I definitely recommend the Robyn’s nest to my friends to come and visit the site.

Weekend Trip to Robyn's Nest
We went camping for the weekend at Robyn’s Nest with our dog and it exceeded our expectations. It is a great location, with the water just across the road as well as the rapids. You are still minutes to the town as well for any last minute items you may need. Robyn and Ron were so kind, coming around each morning and evening to ensure everyone had everything they needed and check in on how everyone’s stay was going. There was plenty of lawn games, privacy between all the sites and the bugs were not bad at all! The bathrooms were a great addition as well, very clean and well maintained. We would definitely come back to Robyn’s nest! Thanks again Robyn and Ron for your hospitality - you guys are great! ☺️

We had a blast at our unique camp site. The hosts were absolutely lovely. Ron met us upon arrival and brought us to our site. Was very peaceful and private. There were lots of games to partake in as a family. Was able to swim just across the st. The water was clear and clean. We went white water kayaking just a couple mins away. Excellent place to go to. Would definitely come again. Thanks Robyn and Ron!
