We have been recycling this farm for years. It was owned previously by a couple who worked for a nursery and they planted many varieties of trees. Later it was part of a Manitoba pilot project for hi-bred poplar so there is a 14 acre poplar forest that was planted on a grid. It is a very unique place. We love it here and hope you do too! This 45-acre property is the original farm homestead of the Kozak family. Since 1996, the land has been stewarded and enhanced by Cheryl Cohan and Noah Erenberg and is now home to Nature On! Matlock Biodiversity Retreat and Horticultural Therapy Centre. There are 3 different listings to choose from: Deluxe Wall Tent in Forest Meadow, Bunkie in Forest Meadow, and Tent Camping in Forest Meadow. We have something for everyone, no matter the type of camper that you are! The surrounding area includes the beautiful and quaint, resort village of Dunnottar bordering along with the property: Matlock main beach on Lake Winnipeg’s southwest shore is just a three-minute walk away as is the hiking trail that meanders northward through Whytewold, Ponemah and up to Winnipeg Beach. Weekend Trip to Forested Meadow at Beach Resort

I had a lovely time camping at Noah and Cheryl’s tent site! I came with little plans other than visiting the Oak Hammock Marsh, and Noah gave me many suggestions for local things to do. I enjoyed some time on the community beach and enjoy some food at the local restaurants. I felt like a local! I enjoyed my camp site under the stars with plenty of room to spare. I felt like I had a good distance and privacy from the other campers. Overall, Noah and Cheryl were very kind, I really enjoyed being at the site, and I will have to come back again with some friends. Thanks for having me!

1 night at Dreamcatcher Tipi Adventures

This was by far the best camping/glamping experience we've ever had. Glen gave us such a warm welcome, even before we arrived at his property, greeting us at the entrance. He took the time to explain everything in detail and treated us to an off-road ride, showing us the stunning acres of his forested land. He also provided firewood and coffee in the morning—such a wonderful gesture. Glen is truly a wonderful host. The tipi was incredibly cozy, with all the bedding already set up for us, which made us feel right at home. We felt completely safe and at peace during our stay. One thing I’d recommend is bringing insect repellent, as there are quite a few bugs, but that’s to be expected in a nature setting. The best part is that you’ll have the entire place to yourself, which makes it feel even more special. The property has a full-sized BBQ, which was perfect for cooking, and Glen’s chicken farm added a nice touch—he kindly brought us fresh eggs for breakfast. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends in the future!

Camping in the Poplar trees was relaxing. It is fairly close to the hwy, but it was not too loud and we could hear the wind blowing through the trees not the vehicles on the hwy:) and the trees provided a nice wind block on a very windy weekend!

There are a lot of space for summer/winter camping. During summer I bet it's especially lovely to be among the wood. Even during winter camping it's quite calm and peaceful.
