Thirty minutes from town by road, Portage la Prairie is a small farm town offering RV resort options, a golf course, and simple rural pleasures. Métis and francophone culture rule in Saint Malo, a small town just south of Winnipeg.

For fewer logistical challenges, opt for a day-trip excursion out of Churchill into the wilds and you may still get a shot at seeing a polar bear. Churchill is also a great spot to pick up provisions and meet friendly locals who brave the winter cold in their hometown. Paint Lake Provincial Park is an option for those who want to venture into Manitoba by road from Winnipeg.

2 nights at Glamping With The Stars

This is one of the most memorable camping experiences you could ever have just 1 hour drive from Winnipeg. Highly recommend for somone looking for quiet, private, safe and comfortable camping!!! The unique design of the dome will give you the feeling of sleeping under the stars with its transparent ceiling!! Canoeing in Whiteshell river is a bonus. You will see turtles, eagles, many different varieties of fish and if you are lucky enough even a bear! Above all you will meet the most friendliest and most accommodating hosts, Amber and Johnny. We rate this 10 out of 10 for; comfort, cleanliness, price, amenities, location, gueat services and accuracy of information. We will come again and again!!!
