Weekend Trip to Olich Creek FarmIt was great! Fantastic! The people were so friendly! The animals were so friendly! Or indifferent. Depending. We had privacy and, as promised, a view of the horses! the minis come by occasionally and are usually closer to the main gate, and the full sized horses right in front of our site daytime and just behind us at night. Being called for breakfast and dinner results in a bit of a rush of horses coming by, and then some amblers following along at their own pace. The farm is very ‘roam friendly’ so while the animals have enclosures, only the ones that are needed for particular animals’ safety are thoroughly secure, so sometimes an animal decides to take itself on a walkabout outside the fence and comes for an extra visit. There is a secure edge of the farm perimeter for everyone’s safety, too! Chickens and a rooster also came out to check on us. The cats, ducks, chickens, goose, sheep, goats, cows, we got to meet them all! The tour by Saundra, Heather’s mom, was very informative, with animals back-scratches, their backstories personalities and species/variety. There was also a lot of gardening/farming discussion, state of the environment and wellness, though I am sure if you weren’t into that you can opt out. Hot water in the shower and a clean bathroom in general. The site was gravel and level with lots if space to maneuver to get your rig in. Shaded by mature trees to the west. And we were happy to have our dollars support a lovinhome for all these animals for the
