Nice private tipi surrounded by trees and next to the farm. The sink was nice to have nearby. Garbage and recycling cans near the parking spot. Nice bedding. Picnic table and chairs outside. There is some traffic noise although you can’t see it and it quiets down later. Saw pheasants, rabbit and birds.

We had a fantastic stay at Alpaca Woodland! Roger was an above and beyond host- he came out during a thunderstorm to offer extra shelter for our tent. The animals were so cool to meet and the location was wonderful for exploring the Qualicum Beach area. We’ll be back and would highly recommend!

This camp has two grassy sites. There are shady spots to pitch your tent in. The host are friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for things to do while we were in the area (Rathtrevor Beach Park at low tide!). Don’t miss the fruit and vegetable stand a mile down the road in Coombs. There is a sink and plenty of water. There is also a shower and a tiny, tippy toilet in a little tent. The shower wasn’t working, so they were nice enough to let us use theirs. There are at least two dogs who will come and see you, one very friendly and rambunctious. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

I loved tent camping on Janie’s farm. There was so much for the kids to do, the space was lovely, Janie and her partner were extremely responsive and kind. Their outdoor shower was an awesome bonus surprise. Great location to the Horn lake caves, parksville beach and rathstrevor beach and more! Highly recommend .

Great secluded campsite just off the old highway. Roger was a fantastic host and his little farm is very private and has lots of shade on a hot August day. He made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back. His animals are super cute too.

The fire pit area was large, open, and had great, soft grass for tenting. The kids enjoyed seeing the horses, donkey, and the young pup, who also seemed to enjoy chasing and being chased. We will definitely be back!
