We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for any neighbours to hear. Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures). We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both. ATV's are idle in - idle out only. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them. If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. This Post Creek property (driveway, front yard, outhouse and cabin patio) is located in a small community of cabins located just outside the Chilliwack Provincial Park Boundary. Chilliwack Lake is located 4km up the road and Chilliwack River is 500m from the property. The property's location offers a convenient gateway to numerous outdoor activities for it's guests including hiking, biking, boating, swimming, fishing, campfires (when there is no ban in effect), paddle boarding, off road exploring, etc.. The highlights of the Valley include the Lindeman/Greendrop/Flora Lake trails (trail head located 2km away), Mount Cheam Peak, and Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

Nestled in the pristine Nahatlatch Valley between the Nahatlatch River and Fraser River. Washtock Family Campground offers rustic camping from tents to RVs. We are an ATV friendly campground with ride in ride out accessibility. The campground offers pull through RV Sites with non-potable water and septic connections. We are off grid so we have no power/electricity connections but allow generators. We have space for big groups or just a quick get away for two, we can accommodate you. We have flush toilets and outhouses as well as a hot shower for guest use. We have a small store on site with your regular camping goodies, Ice, seasonal vegetable, as well as farm fresh eggs and all natural free range beef from our farm. We are located 13km north of Northbend which is across the river from Boston Bar BC. Once you reach Boston Bar you will Turn left at the Esso and cross 2 sets of railroad tracks bringing you into Northbend, from Northbend there is about 6km of paved road after that there is 6km of gravel road until you reach our campground. Past our campground is the beautiful Nahatlatch provincial Park which contains Francis lake, Hanna Lake and Nahatlatch Lake. The lakes offer an abundance of activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and paddle boarding. The first lake is about a 15-20 min drive again on gravel road. 2 wheel drive accessible until 21km on the forest service Road after 21km you will need a 4x4, if you plan to travel to Grizzly falls or the 3rd Lake. Great private spot! The beach access was easy to get to! However it was very inconvenient that there was no outhouses to use and we had to bring our own toilets. Also was not given any direction to dispose of our waste when it was full, so had to haul it out. Lastly the outhouse was right outside our site and we kept getting wafts of outhouse smell… was not pleasant.

Our site was good, right by the river verycalming. Beautiful sunsets. There is a nice swimmable beach. Go there day time if possible for set up as its dark in the dark. Host is strict about visitors but guess it's her property n can be. If u are responsible n respectful to your neighbors n her property you should not have issues.

Our stay was absolutely lovely! Very private, with patches of sunlight through the trees. The view is every bit as nice as the pictures - probably nicer. The fence guarding the riverbank is not all that nice, but it's nice to have it there to catch anything wayward - the bank is too dangerous to be on, though only five or six feet high. We were lucky enough to have no one nearby so we had a forest and a river all to ourselves. Other campers we met were very nice, and we heard nothing at night - except for the river and nature, of course. No services were available for temporary renters (like us), but there was river water in a large tank we carried back to our site. We will definitely be back to Deborah's.

The work and HEART that goes into running Washtock Family Campground was evident. Exceptionally fine hosts. We enjoyed our site and stay in all regard. Modern flushers and shower available but the camp’s clean and quaint pit privies and shower are a camper’s delight. The solar powered camp store was fully stocked with camp supplies, grocery, Washtock Farm meats, local produce, eggs and other locally made items. All YAYS and thanks!

Where to go

Sasquatch Provincial Park

Sasquatch Provincial Park is a beloved region known for its collection of small lakes, stunning second-growth birch forests, extensive biodiversity, and of course, stunning views of BC’s imposing mountain ranges. Spanning more than 1,200 hectares, Sasquatch Park has something for everyone—boat across the lakes (or take advantage of paddleboard rentals in town), enjoy a day of tranquil fishing, or choose from three light, on-site hikes. Afterwards, enjoy an evening at a riverside campground or glamping spot—ideally, complete with a hot tub.

Mount Outram

For campers in search of a more challenging hike, Mt. Outram is the go-to spot. Featuring over 18 kilometres of trails to explore, this rugged hike displays BC’s natural beauty. Find the way through uphill switchback climbs through the pine, cedar, and fir trees until finally breaking into the subalpine region. From here, technical skills are required to handle the final scramble, navigating boulders and scree to finally reach the unbelievable vista at the summit. After a tough hike well done, relax at a creek campground, recreation site with full hookups and firepits, or a quiet RV park.

Silver Lake Provincial Park

If undeveloped, wild nature is the draw to BC, then Silver Lake Provincial Park tops the list of must-see locations. At 77 hectares, these lakefront lands are home to countless species of plants and animals (including black bears, so proceed with caution), as well as breathtaking views of nearby mountain ranges. Silver Lake Park is a great spot for a boat cruise, canoeing trip, or for a short hike and a picnic to take in the beautiful Skagit Valley.

When to go

Camping season in Hope, BC is best enjoyed in late spring, summer, and early fall. Since Hope is located in a temperate rainforest, other times of year tend to be very rainy (on average 20 cm of rain per month in the winter), with many parks and attractions closing for the off-season. Large crowds aren’t really a concern in warmer months, however, there are natural hazards active in the season (such as black bears and ticks).
