Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. Our newest Site 4 is a bit more open also for vans, campers, and tents, and we have a last-minute available Site 5 for vehicle camping.
These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system with great stargazing opportunities.
Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes.
Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight.
Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted.

We are a family owned and operated biodynamic veggie farm that backs onto a salmon-bearing creek. We have many trees to hang a hammock or a slack line. We are a 2-minute drive from a sandy beach, 5 minutes to a river with cliffs for jumping and 20 minutes to city centre. You can leave the property by bike and enjoy many local mountain bike trails or strap a canoe to the roof of your car and be at a lake in 15 minutes. We offer guided wild foraging tours and farm tours. We would be happy to supply you with farm-fresh foods to make your stay more enjoyable.

We stayed at Colin's property for one frosty night in January. The site was easy to locate and get situated even in the dark hours of our arrival. Come morning we discovered a beautiful forest and marsh space with many ponds. Wild birds were warming up in the morning sun as we had a quick breakfast before heading out. The space was perfect for a private & safe stay among nature.

We loved tent camping on Paul's property, we drove around and looked at every site and ended up picking site 8 for it's privacy and cute little pond area, though we would have been ecstatic with any of the sites as they were all private and tidy. Boyd and Ace (resident campers we ran into) were also very kind and Ace was fun to pet! (He's a dog haha) the ocean was walking distance away which was also very nice. Paul even offered to deliver firewood to us and build us a cozy campfire! Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a secluded, private, clean place to camp. We'll definitely be back next year!

Great host! Paul really cares for his property and set up a bunch of lovely, private, level, spaced out options(watch for slugs in the grass if you venture out on warm summer nights.) Came back for a second night knowing that finding something else in a busy holiday weekend was like playing chicken:) neighboring campers were all quiet and friendly and Paul was accessible if we needed anything. Nice touches like signage and clearly marked spot, clean potty, water. Thanks for giving us a nice spot on our journey! Probably one of the best most welcoming hip camps we have ever stayed in!!!! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Close to fun mountain biking and beach resort and lake options too. Thanks!

Great campsite! Can’t wait to be back! Close to town, the lake, the mountain, we had the best of everything in close proximity. The campsite was very well maintained and beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the cows and picking blackberries. Highly recommend!

Jamie is an exceptional host. Communication was so easy and professional. The land is beautiful, so spacious and private. A real treat to have so much space and quiet, while also being close to town and all the valley has to offer. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back. Colin’s hip camp is great. Very clean (including the toilet), and nice Adirondack chairs at each campsite (or table/chairs at walk-in). Colin was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. It’s about 15-20 min from Courtney. Beautiful country roads surround the property.

We loved our stay at Jamie’s campsite. It is so beautiful and peaceful. A great place to relax and embrace the surrounding nature. All the personal touches he has put into the site, the tables, lit stairs, water, fire pit and outhouse add to the experience. The location is awesome as you are close to biking, swimming, paddling and town, and yet feel like you off the beaten track. Highly recommend it!! We will be back :)
