Learn more about this land: Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River, in Spillimacheen BC which is 20mins south of Golden BC and 30mins north of Radium Hot Springs BC. This property is very secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature. Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River. Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls. Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls). Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views. If you require firewood you must order ahead of your stay. On site purchases are not available. We deliver the bundles the day of your arrival. Great location, quiet and easy access to the moonraker trails. The view of the Purcell mountains was amazing. Clean showers, fast wifi too. The staff was very friendly and helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. Bring bug repellent.

Weekend Trip to Columbia wetlands Outpost

The campground was easy to find with lots of amenities and fun activities to keep busy with. We stayed at site #5 which was clean and private with lots of surrounding trees and a good size for my large SUV and a pickup truck with our kayaks. We chose to explore the wetlands on our own but I wish there was more information/signage readily available for where to park, doc, and kayak as we didn't get a chance to speak with anyone from the campground while we were there. Using the electronic maps provided on the website and messages with the hosts, we were eventually able to figure it all out and had a lovely kayaking journey. The worlds largest paddle was beautiful but again, not much signage and could easily be missed driving by which would be sad as it was a cool stop. Next time we stay here we will definitely check out the disc golf course, walking trails, and the slip and slide pond. All in all this would be a great place to stop whether you have kids or are adults looking for a fun weekend adventure.

We camped in the electrical and water hook up for an trailer. It was great, It allowed us to do everything we needed since we were out most of the day hiking and needed all the amenities at night. The shower house/ bathroom was clean, warm water and had laundry if you needed. This was all included for a great price. I would 100% recommend and come back again

We had such an incredible stay at this campsite! The mountain views were absolutely breathtaking, and the location couldn’t have been better — just minutes from Golden, surrounded by amazing trails for machines, and only about an hour from the majestic Lake Louise. The host was so accommodating and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and stunning scenery!

Beautiful views. It was like you had the whole mountain to yourself! There was a nice level gravel pad to park the camper. The road up and down to it was a little tricky with our size rig (34ft 5th wheel) but we made it ok. The only negative (which is beyond anyone's control) is that the mosquitos were REALLY bad. We heard this is an exceptionally bad year for them. Otherwise the place was lovely!

This campground was one of our top highlights of our trip! Mark was so nice and accommodating. He gave us a map of his land and gave us some recommendations to check out. We ended up staying at site #1 and it was 10/10 beautiful, it had a stunning view. The waterslide and rope swing was so much fun! We made some great memories with another camper we met there. The land itself if just stunning and worth exploring around. Mark had created so many fun and unique areas for his guests. We will definitely be returning!
