I love the GlamperVan! We only stayed the night as we were passing through but I could see myself spending more time here someday. Nicole was incredibly communicative and easy to chat with. Dane, the campground manager was super friendly and helpful too which was fantastic. The place was easy to find from Golden, and once we were on the property it wasn’t hard to follow the signs to the van. The campsite was already set up for us when we arrived and had everything we could possibly need for the stay. Yes, there were lots of mosquitos but you have to expect bugs in the woods! Just a fantastic stay and a great place to get away! Thank you for having us!

It really depends on when you are going. We went in August, it felt like infestation of mosquitoes. Within a minute of time outside our car, we had several bites. Even the netted area had mosquitoes. There was no escape.

Pretty spot and host was communicative, but it’s up a very steep hill and filled with mosquitos. We unfortunately made the decision not to stay our second night because of this.

The GlamperVan under the stars is a super cozy spot. I had found it for breaking up a long drive to Alberta and only stayed the one night. I would love to stay a longer period and enjoy all the amenities. Nicole sets everything up and has the spot ready for you to enjoy a quiet camping experience without having to bring all the gear.
The spot was easy to find and navigate, the view from my site was gorgeous, and I am looking forward to booking here again, maybe the Honeymoon site next! Thank you, we had a great stay.

Good for one night stay. Lovely area, tall trees... We were there after some rainy days and mosquitoes were crazy hungry lol. We arrived late at night and stressed out owners dogs and poor guys kept barking and chasing the vehicle for a bit

The price vs the location is not worth it.
I liked the idea of this place but with the wild infestation of mosquitoes it makes it impossible to do anything without being covered in bug spray. Would only consider staying here during the shoulder season.. if that..
We didn’t even stay the night due to the tent having mosquitoes in it

We had a nice, quiet night in the GlamperVan under the stars. The space was very private - sites are spread out over plenty of land - so we didn't really see any others while there. The bed was super comfortable and we had a good sleep! We appreciated the mosquito netting and coils that were provided as you're definitely in bug territory (unavoidable). The drive to Golden was easy, though there is a steep-ish gravel road to get to the site (wasn't a problem for us, just fyi). Toilet was well maintained and clean. Definitely a place with potential. Great for a unique stay and comfy-cozy sleep!

We got there right before they close access and left early in the morning so we didn't take the time to really enjoy what they offered. Nontheless, Nicole was very friendly and helpful with her recommendations for places to visit in town. The road from the entrance to the campsite will be bumpy so beware. It was slightly creepy from the entrance to the welcome booth because it felt like we were going the wrong way, but as soon as you see it you'll see a map and a welcome note from the host. The van was cozy and comfortable. They provide blankets, pillows, mosquito coils, firewood, and cooking gear. The van even had a small wooden stove to keep you warm, we just didn't use it. They offer food like eggs and sausages for extra and they own a market in town! The ducks roaming around were adorable and they had a sauna and cold plunge area. We enjoyed our short stay in Goonieland and would definitely come back next time we're stopping in Golden.

The camping at Nicole’s place was nice and quiet we stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The outdoor shower was nice and refreshing after a long day of hiking. Would definitely stay again in the future.

This was a great little getaway from the stampede festivities! It was so peaceful and quiet with a great view of the mountains. The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept throughout the night. The camper was clean and the campground was well kept. The only downside was the road in - the driveway as well as the dirt road to the campsite were rough. I wouldn't recommend taking a low vehicle to the site! Ours had 4WD but it was low so the drive was rough. Other than that, we really
enjoyed our stay here and will likely come back again.

Beautiful place, high up in the mountains, Amazing view, well set up for a rustic campsite, composting outhouse, solar heated showers, the clamping van was super comfortable. The outdoors was definitely there, be prepared, bugspray, sunscreen and bear bells. Two blackbears wandered through not far according to another set of campers. Will probably stay agian. The road up is a bit treacherous though so a small camper would be probably all that could make it, thankfully thats what we have for next time.

Such gorgeous setting and I loved how off-grid it was. The campsite is situated at the end of the hilltop area, and the wildflowers everywhere are so beautiful. There were mosquitoes and bugs, but that was to be expected during the summer months. Nothing that couldn't be prevented with proper measures, so plan accordingly. The outhouse, water station and shower are a short walk away. We didn't get to try the sauna, but all the more reason to come back, and we definitely will soon. The spaces between the campsites are very generous as well, so there's lots of privacy. I highly recommend!

So pretty! The other campsite was pretty close, but no one was there during our stay. The outdoor shower was quite convenient and the outhouse very clean.

Nicole was very responsive and answered all questions promptly. She is a very sweet host. It’s a beautiful location, the van itself was decorated so nicely and included pretty much all the items you need for glamping! The bugs were bad, but there were mosquito coils and things provided to help with the bugs at night. The sauna was pretty cool too and worked well. It’s definitely a unique location, I am happy we spent the night here. It was so nice to have a real mattress to sleep on after camping for a week.
Only negative I have is the cleanliness. The red cooler located towards the front of the van, we opened and it smelt funny and had what looks like mould at the bottom and there was a spider web in the front right seat of the van as well. Everything else looked to be clean, including the bedding, but if you are paying the cleaning fee, it was a little bit concerning those things weren’t checked and done. As well, some of the items below the bed looked to not have been cleaned properly. I think it might be worth it to wash off all of the items under the bed one time and then put a cover on the containers.The other negative was the bathroom/showers. Personally, I wouldn’t stay longer than night or two due to the bathroom/showers situation.
Overall, I definitely think that this place is a unique, thoughtful, interesting location to stop by stay for a night or so!! :) Thank you Nicole.

Was hesitant when booking, but when i booked and stayed a night there i consider myself lucky to have a night spent in the van. The views are scenic, you have so private space, van is extremely clean and organized. Buddy heater was my favourite when it got cold in midnight, the van is so aesthetic and picturesque!!! Loved spending a night there, i will definitely be here again and try sauna!!! Recommend it very much…

I stayed here with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful few days. The tent was amazing – spacious, cosy, and well set up. The whole place was peaceful and perfect for unwinding. Nicole was lovely, quick to reply, and very helpful.

Great camping experience here. The views here are great and at the sites there’s a perfect blend of tree cover and openness. There was a cute little stream behind our site too. The hosts are friendly but the site still feels private and peaceful. The sites are in up a hill away from the farm so all you see, and for the most part hear is nature. All the facilities provided (outhouse, outdoor shower, and non potable water) worked great for our needs. We didn’t get a chance to try out the sauna but that’ll be for next trip here cause this place is definitely worth a return from us

Overall a great experience, love the atmosphere, the van was really comfortable and well equipped, the sauna was super cool, although we didn’t end up using it, the outside shower system was a neat idea, will come back and definitely recommending.

More Hippy and Hip camp. Driving up towards camp was full of old machinery and looked like a dump site. When we got to our camp the mosquitoes were so bad we couldn't even get out the camper. To be fair it rained the whole day and night we were there also so probably not the best time to spend the night. Not what I expected I'm afraid.

The Goonieland camp is great and well thought out. I actually would love to leave a great review for this place, but I was awestruck by the sheer amount of bugs at this joint. 30 seconds after arriving I opened the car door to take a look at the info board to see a map of where our site was located and let 30-40 mosquitos into the campervan that we were sleeping in. Upon jumping back into the car and shutting the door, I felt a super painful sting in the middle of my back. A hornet got in and was on my seat. I jumped off the seat shrieking and the same hornet then stung my friend who was driving in her face. We were planning on cooking our food at camp, using the sauna, hanging hammocks and generally relaxing while here, but we ended up spending 100 percent of our time stuck in a small sized van. There was a great kitchen area and table where you can eat both enclosed in netting for the droves of mosquitos but with 7 or 8 groups vying for the same area we were never able to use it. Not goonieland's fault but with the bug problem and the wildfire smoke in the region during our whole stay I'd steer clear of booking this again. In fact the bugs alone were a nightmare and inescapable, they even prevented me from using the sauna which I was really looking forward to

I booked 2 nights for 120$ at "sauna under the stars", when we have arrived, the place was a mess, with containers, construction trucks, trailers everywhere. We had to follow a road until almost the top of the mountain, then we found that the camping spot was just a parcel of gras, with thousands of mousquitos, no facilities, and the "sauna" was just a trailer transformed as a sauna, ridiculous...
The quantity of mousquitos was just unbearable, we left 30mn after we arrived. I don't even understand the price of 60$ per night as there is absolutely nothing on site. The worst campground that I have ever been to. No possible to get any refund when I asked the owner on the phone, even though our spot was rented to someone else as soon as we left...
I'm not even sure the campground is legit.

Absolutely amazing scenery!! Loved the atmosphere! So private! Being in the woods with the mountains was absolute bliss! Great communication from Nicole & Brian.
