Your fee includes free access to 120 acres of forest, excellent wildlife viewing and unlimited deadfall to use as firewood, if you don't mind some manual labour.
My kids cut and split firewood if you would like some waiting at your site when you arrive. We have seasoned and split bundles for $10 and you can pre-purchase them when you complete your checkout.

Pik & Pak Fresh Vegetables is a 30-second walk from the property and is open 24/7. They offer fresh lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, microgreens, beets, apples, oranges, pears, potatoes, peppers, eggs, honey, gelato, pies, pizzas, chips, salsa, and much more. Great store! Local goodness!
There are 2 parks with tennis, paddleball, basketball, golf frisbee, badminton, horseshoes, gym, swings, and slides. Mini golf is across the road, and there are lots of walking trails and a burger and fries stand a 12-minute walk down the beach.
The Property
If you thought the village sounds amazing, check out the property! It is 1 acre and very private, with a 7-foot fence around 3/4 of the property and an open field at the back with horses. There are over 6 outdoor sitting areas, including decks, grass, a sandy beach, and beautiful flowers and trees. You'll enjoy the sight of squirrels, birds, wildlife, and the horses out back.

• 20’ Yurt: Fully equipped with 2 king-size mattresses, chairs, nightstands, water, and snacks.
• 420 Trailer: A fully powered 44’ 5th wheel trailer, fully stocked and converted into a 420 trailer with a blackout living room with tapestries, curtains, black light, and a stereo. The trailer has 1 bedroom, a couch, a day bed, a big full kitchen, and a bathroom with electricity and warm water. Note that there is no indoor toilet; the outdoor kitchen has hot water, and there is an outhouse out back.

For the second time this year an amazing stay at the Hideaway, made even better by host Gordon who kindly left a propane fire pit for us to use during the fire ban, lots of wildlife to be seen and the vintage trucks and farm equipment are a great touch on the walking trails, and to top it off a private fishing spot with picturesque views at the rocky lockout trail, we will be back next year.

We loved camping at the Secret Sanctuary! We brought our own glamping and got the breakfast delivered to your site as an add on. Absolutely delicious! The whole experience and vibe of this place is really something special. We were looking for a getaway close to the city that offered privacy (which is hard to find these days) and were not disappointed. We want to bring the whole family next time we come! The hot shower and compost toilets were great, the trails and nearby lakes were awesome for exploring, and Denika and her family were so friendly and helpful. 5 stars! Also make sure to check out the store for amazing salves, delicious teas, and cute pottery!

The weekend was wonderful. The glamping tent was beautiful and the bed was cozy warm. The morning breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire being visited by a llama! We walked the trails and hugged a tree. Great time. Thankyou you Denika and family.

Loved how much space there was so I could pick the perfect place for my tent and the seclusion from the other two sites.
The only negative was I arrived on a Sunday and there were quite a few people, who parked in the parking area, that were just using the beach and they came in and used the porta potty which ment it was extremely full for the first day. It was emptied after that
but I had read other reviews so I was prepared and had brought my own.
I would definitely go back.

It’s a great site with tree cover that provides more privacy but a very short distance to the beach. Gordon was very quick with replies and very accommodating! The extras of firewood delivered to the campsite is a great feature as well. We had a fantastic time, there are also trails around the site as well to walk in nature. An amazing little hideaway ❤️ will definitely stay again.

We had an amazing time there! Gordon was extremely helpful and friendly. If we had any questions Gordon was quick to respond. We haven’t been camping in over 10 years and Gordon made the experience better than we could ever imagine. Even our teenage kids enjoyed it and they were off their phones for 80% of the time there. Big win in my book. Definitely would recommend!
