UPDATE July 2025 The Munbinea Rd to the Station is now FULLY TARMACED. Nambung is a 5,000 acre working cattle farm 2 hours north from Perth. We are surrounded by the Nambung National Park so there is always plenty of wildlife to see and wildflowers in season. We have a caravan park with powered or unpowered sites and onsite caravans for hire. Dog friendly (must be on a leash at all times). Toilets and shower amenities for guests.

This is where you are up close and personal with the animals. Expect the very friendly donkeys to call out for a chat. The lambs are super cute. The camels will want a selfie. The cows will ask for scratches and tickles All the animals have been hand raised from babies and are super friendly. This farm stay is one of a kind and for all people who want to be in the surrounds of our large variety of our fury and feathered family. 🦙🦚🐪🐇🐤🦃🦘🦜🐓🫏🐷🦆🐄🫏🐏 Most of the animals have been orphaned and brought to Sandalwood Downs to be lovingly raised and nurtured. 🐾💕 Sandalwood Downs Farm Stay in Toodyay is now available for you to enjoy and experience as a tent camping, camper-van and caravan accommodation. Sandalwood Downs Toodyay operates as a farm stay and has been in high demand for several years now. After years of traveller's requesting caravan and tents sites, Marc and Jane are excited to announce as of March 2024 we now offering 11 caravan/camping/tent sites. With only 11 unpowered sites spread out over 100 acres, you are guaranteed privacy for you and your family and friends. 3 clean instant portable toilets. A refreshing cold bush shower is available on site. The farm also features a fantastic communal area for fellow traveller's to meet, chat, have a few drinks, sit by the amazing fire pit (during winter months), have a BBQ. The farm features many beautiful hand raised farm animals such as, camels, cows, miniature goats, donkeys, alpacas, lambs, deer, a pig, emus, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, geese, rabbits, chooks and peacocks. Spend some time strolling the stunning walk trails and taking in the amazing views on the property, The sunsets are vivid and beautiful. The stars shine and sparkle bright. Each site is cleared and levelled site’s available 3 sites accessible by 4WD only (Hill Top Double Tree, The break and The Ledge) SMALL CARAVANS ONLY, camper trailers and tents at these 3 sights. 6 sites accessible by 2WD and 4WD. Suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans and pop tops. Most sites have chairs and tables, except sites 8, 9. 10 and 11. A communal BBQ is available for use in the fire pit area but must be cleaned after use PLEASE NOTE ANIMAL FEED, EDUCATION AND INTERACTION EXPERIENCE CAN BE PURCHASED AT $15 PP on the Hipcamp extras page. (Please note all children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult) Join Jane and Marc for an unforgettable animal encounter! Get up close and personal with our lovable farm friends. Tour Details: -Time: 9:30am or 1pm (variable times depending on animal needs) Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours Animal food included in ticket price -(Please note all children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult COMMUNAL FIRE PIT / YANNING CIRCLE ONLY TO BE USED IN WINTER MONTHS MAY-SEPTEMBER DEPENDING ON SHIRE AND DEFES REGULATION. Fire pit open between 4.30 till 8.30pm. NO INDIVIDUAL CAMP FIRES ALLOWED. Due to guest, animal and property safety. Guest breaking this rule will be asked to leave the property. The Julimar Forest is conveniently located just 2kms away. The fabulous township of Toodyay is only 8 minutes away. Sandalwood Downs Farm: -The property is 100 acres of beautiful tranquility. Perfect for a family getaway or a romantic couple experience. Not suitable for large noisy party groups. -The property is only 45 minutes from Midland and 7 minutes from the wonderful town of Toodyay. RULES AND GUILDELINES. While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety. YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US: - No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding. - No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area. - Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals. -Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm. - No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment, -Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests. -If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues. -No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free. -You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area). -Please take away all rubbish. -No big party groups. -Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours. -Check out of campsite by 11 am please. -If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped. - Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc. -As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals. -You approach all animals at your own risk -Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc. -Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely. -You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us. -Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. Weekend Trip to Nambung Station Stay

Loved the experience at Nambung Station Stay. Stayed in an on site van with an annex. The kids loved it as did my partner and I. Was decently equipped and the common fire pit was awesome. Met some beautiful people and the guided tour to the Painted Desert Pinnacles was more than worth it. Something not many people get to do in their lives and to see an area that is not walked by many was a blessing. The kids getting to feed the animals especially George was great also. Definitely something we would love to experience again.

素晴らしい自然を間近に体験できました。砂漠へのツアーや満天の星空の撮影などよい思い出になりました。キャンプ場までの道も未舗装路はありますが、思ったよりも整備されていて分かりやすかったと思います。お世話になりました。

Weekend Trip to Waddi Bush Camp and Caravan Park

My partner and I felt lucky to find apartment number 8 on Good Friday night. We spent the day in Jurien Bay and managed to book it last minute through HipCamp. It was like a godsend. The directions to the place were clear. When we arrived in the middle of the night, we were surprised by the size of the parking lot, which is quite large, and by how cozy the place seemed, with lots of plants around. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Lydia, she gave us directions and instructions to help us settle in. The kitchen was excellent and well equipped, and the living room was quite spacious and had a television. Our hostess even gave us instant coffee to drink the next morning. The bathroom has hot water and works well. She left extra towels, which is a great help for travelers! Also, since it was cold, it was great to find blankets and a warm light in the room. In the morning, we had coffee listening to the birds singing and took a walk around the property. The diversity of birds is incredible, the place is magical and full of good vibes. I highly recommend it, and we will return one day. Thank you for your great hospitality, dear Lydia.
