UPDATE July 2025 The Munbinea Rd to the Station is now FULLY TARMACED. Nambung is a 5,000 acre working cattle farm 2 hours north from Perth. We are surrounded by the Nambung National Park so there is always plenty of wildlife to see and wildflowers in season. We have a caravan park with powered or unpowered sites and onsite caravans for hire.

Weekend Trip to Nambung Station Stay
This is a great location. We were there with a group of 3 sites and everyone enjoyed the piece and quiet. The team do a great job to ensure the camp is clean and maintained.

Loved the experience at Nambung Station Stay. Stayed in an on site van with an annex. The kids loved it as did my partner and I. Was decently equipped and the common fire pit was awesome. Met some beautiful people and the guided tour to the Painted Desert Pinnacles was more than worth it. Something not many people get to do in their lives and to see an area that is not walked by many was a blessing. The kids getting to feed the animals especially George was great also. Definitely something we would love to experience again.

Beautiful peaceful location.
Very family friendly, with children simply embracing being children away from screens.
The trip into the dessert was a joy and wonder for old and young with plenty of opportunities to roll down the dunes making it particularly popular and super hosts.
The caravan was definitely retro in the most fabulous and utterly characterful way making the stay that bit more special.
Would definitely recommend!

The on site van was great. Nice and roomy with all the comforts while still feeling like we were camping.
The host was friendly and great with the kids during the animal feeding.
Camp facilities were clean and practical. Toilets, shower, BBQ area, fire pit etc.

2 nights at Nambung Station Stay
No sure the photos do justice here. Absolutely amazing place and very well managed too. Facilities are clean and nice. We stayed in an onsite caravan and were totally happy with what we got. If you're after a bit of 4wd challenge then you can take the track that takes you directly from outside the farm gate to Hansens Bay Beach area. But be prepared for sand and rocks.

Weekend Trip to Nambung Station Stay
Take the tour to the "back gate" of Pinnacles. The Nambung National Park has impressive pinnacles but it's very limited and very busy. Nambung Station offers a tour to an area called the Painted Desert - in the sand dunes, where the pinnacles appear and disappear from different places daily.
The caravan park is very well cared for, very clean. I rented an on-site caravan and it was super clean with sufficient dishes, micro, kettle, and a good bed with plenty of blankets. They do have a heat/air con unit but there wasn't need for it when I was there.
Stars are AMAZING. So are the flies -- but it's a sheep and cattle station. The drive in on graded dirt road is fine -- I was in a regular car.
There are tracks to bushwalk on your own. I saw the long-necked turtles swimming and some wild emu in the distance. Only footprint evidence of many kangaroo!
Highly recommend this visit. Quite easy to get out to Indian Ocean Highway or Band Hwy.

Namburg Farm is a great place to see the amazing sunsets and sunrises. We had a great farm tour, with Jerry the pinnacles where great, Jerry was a very good tour guide.

I loved staying at Nambung. It was kids and I first caravaning trip and we enjoyed it so much. Feeding the animals was a highlight for the kids. I enjoyed the farm tour that took us to the painted dessert and I strongly recommend it.

Site #1 was a great site. Heaps of space on the side of it that the other sites didn't have. Very close to toliets.
Host was really helpful....

Absolutely worth it. The Pinnacles are stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset. On a clear new moon night, the stargazing here is unreal. A must-visit in WA.

Otherworldly
The Pinnacles are well worth visiting. It’s very otherworldly. We had a fun game of hide and seek and enjoyed playing with the shadows to keep the kids happy as well. Highly recommend a visit.
