If you are after a quiet serine getaway on 40 acres, this property is for you. You are 4 minutes by car to Rules Beach where you can drive your 4WD with no permit necessary. You are 2 minutes to Baffle Creek Boat Ramp / Creek where fishing is great. You can Hire a boat from us ( boat license required) or a paddle board on the calm waters of the Creek. We have a filleting table and abundant water to wash vehicles. A Tavern, small convenience store and takeaway food is 10 minutes away at Baffle Creek Town. Turtle nesting on Rules Beach from November to March. Abundant bird life, wildlife and kangaroos. Close to the Historic town of 1770.
We are off the Grid with 12v power, although there is a generator if you require to use the 240v.
We have over a hundred mango trees and a couple of dams. Apart from the cabin, that has facilities and is fully self contained., if you want to camp you must be fully safe contained. We can also a small Jack-off camper that is also available to hire.
There are walking tracks on the property.. Please do not leave pets alone in cabin.

The town of Monto is a friendly, quaint, rural town on Australia's Country Way (A3) and is home to a wide variety of historical, cultural and artistic experiences in the North Burnett. Monto is the northern and youngest town in the North Burnett and is situated approximately 200 km west of the coastal cities of Bundaberg and Gladstone.
Monto is one of the newest towns in Queensland having come into existence as recently as 1924 when, under the Land Development Scheme, larger properties were resumed and prime agricultural land was provided, in smaller lots, to soldiers who had returned from World War I.
Prior to the arrival of Europeans, the area around Monto was home to people from the Gureng Gureng Aboriginal language group.

We loved our stay in the cabin. It was super comfortable and cosy. The verandah was a great spot to hangout with a cold beer in the arvo. We'll be back for sure!

This was a great option for our family to visit Cania National Park in the morning and relax by the pool at the caravan site in the afternoon and cool down. The site was tidy and quiet. We'd definitely go again.

Weekend Trip to Bucca Country River Retreat
Absolutely beautiful little modern cabin looking over the Kolan River. Just down the road from the Bucca Hotel. Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Nice shower and toilet. Kitchenette with the essentials. Excellent outdoor area with BBQ, sink and bench space. Comfortable seating. Nice fire pit. Sarah and Ronnie were amazing hosts and we will be back again.

The cabin was squeaky clean, well-equipped with a very comfortable bed. Verandah with outdoor setting and barbecue was great. Overlooking the peaceful river and lots of birdlife. I will definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Bucca Country River Retreat
What a lovely little cabin on this beautiful property! Sarah's place was well appointed with the finer fittings making the whole stay feel quite homely.
Was the perfect place to watch the sunset from the deck, overlooking the river whilst having a bbq. The large firepit was a great place to see out the night.
The whole camp grounds were very well kept.
We can't recommend Sarah's cabin or camp grounds enough. 5 stars. We will be back.
