Good fishing from jetty, did better then boat, dog friendly, plenty of wild life, dog can be off leash but under control.
Bad sand flies not bad but a pain (dawn and dusk), boat ramp is dodgy as hell if you have a boat bigger then a tinnie, but two other boat ramps close by.
The retreat cottage, surrounds and hosts are just fabulous
Superb facilities, great fully equipped kitchen, indoor outdoor living, wonderful sunsets, crabbing fishing… I know there’s a huge flathead still out there…had it on the line just about in the boat😳
Had an awesome 4 days..Very cool place..5star!!!
The experience at the Waterview Baffle Creek Hip Camp was wonderful. It was pet friendly - non-shedding poodle breed of dog was allowed inside. The cabin has warmth and interior design elements with aromas and herb garden viewed from the lounge, all the comforts of home, beautiful view from the outdoor fire pit to Baffle Creek. Fully insect screened and private with own laundry and shower/toilet facilities. Hosts were superbly kind and lovely to chat with and welcomed us onto their property and gave advice about what there was to do in the local area.
What a beautiful getaway. Definitely the kind of place you could easily spend a week here. Beautiful walks around the property, wake up and have a cuppa on the jetty. The whole place and amenities are very modern, everything was very clean, bed was super comfortable and heaps of space with the indoor and outdoor areas. All the utensils etc that you would need are available. Mosquito coils, fire lighters are provided. TV has dvds if you’re wanting to relax and watch something. They have truly thought of everything. Perfect for dog owners as the little area around the cottage is fenced off.
I can see us even coming back here for camping. The shared toilet block was also very clean, shower is one disabled shower. The kind of place that would keep kids entertained for days with the golf, the creek and the endless adventuring on the property.
Thank you so much for having us Kenton and Catherine. We really appreciate it.
Baffle Creek Retreat cabin was a home away from home, very clean and ee didn't need for anything. Location was perfect with views over the river and boat ramp and jetty very close - even managed to catch a few fish and a mud crab. Host very friendly. Definitely want to come back for a longer stay!
It was above and beyond beautiful and the cottage was impeccably comfortable and clean.
We would highly recommend this Hipcamp destination to anyone wanting some beautiful quiet time or to enjoy excellent fishing.
We can’t wait to revisit and do it all again.
A huge thanks to Kenton and his lovely wife for going above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable and enjoyable.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice place. Private view to the jetty. Very clean and tidy. Fully stocked kitchen with all cooking utensils and cutlery. Awesome outdoor area with bar area. Two fenced areas for dogs. Highly recommended.
