S4 - Ornamental Tree Outlook
We had a fantastic stay here over Easter. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were also very grateful for the thoughtful welcome pack, with some privately grown produce and a couple of chocolate Easter eggs thrown in for good measure — such a lovely touch. The site itself is spacious, with beautiful sunrise views that made for a great start to each day. The property is stunning, with gorgeous autumn colours, and the towering Karri trees are a real standout. We especially enjoyed the signed discovery walk trail on the property. It winds through lovely forest with informative signage, including views across the neighbouring valley — well worth exploring. It’s also a great central location to explore the region, with easy access to places like Pemberton and Manjimup. A wonderful place to stay — we’d happily return.

We setup in 2 nights on site 3. Sloped ground was easily compensated for. The bushland surroundings was fantastic with a view down to the dam. We enjoyed the nature walk through the bushland which had some good informational signage. It was all very well thought out. It was serentity. No noise, just peace. Matt was a fantastic host even offering to assist with late departures and more, when I mentioned we had vehicle issues. This was our first Hipcamp experience and Matt ensured it was a pleasant one. Big thanks to Matt and his family for providing this camp.

Great place, very large sites, heaps of space. The bush walk around the property plus the play area and games were a win with the kids. We only stayed 1 night to break up our trip, but definitely could have stayed longer and explored the area

We loved our overnight stay here, it was really well laid out with clear signage including information regarding the fauna and flora on the 800mtr walk trail. Matt and his family were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Great set up for kids and wonderful bird life to entertain us. Will definitely be back :)

We had the best time at Highway Hideaway in Manjimup. The owners have clearly put so much thought and effort into providing information about the local area, wildlife, and nature. The walks were incredible, and the kids absolutely loved exploring, they even spotted frogs, yabbies, and tadpoles along the way. We highly recommend this beautiful spot for a family get away.

We were looking for an off the highway and safe place to park up for the night without the requirement to unhook our vehicle and caravan. On our drive to camp we received directions to the camp that were simple and easy to follow. Upon arrival the site was clean and tidy and perfect for what we required. Matt (owner) and family called past to say gday and provided some local knowledge on locations for a great breakfast in Manjimup. I will be visiting again

If tranquility, great vistas and being surrounded by nature, and truly feel like you are the only people around, then Highway Hideaway WA, 5min from Manjimup, is the place to be. After getting lost following very clear instructions, Matt called and guided me into the hideaway. We were on site 7, open views across the paddock to the dam. Sunrise in the morning….awesome. “Oh the serenity” We were greeted by Matt with a basket of organic fruit, Macadamia nuts and vegetables, all grown in their garden. What a surprise and what a treat. We were travelling with 3 mini Dashies, and it was as good to see them experiencing the many smells they encountered on the nature walk. This place is awesome. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here when you are your travels in the region.

Great spot 6km outside Manjimup. Heaps of room in the sites. Has a little walk with great info on the big trees and wildlife found in the area. We had a great stay. Highly recommend..

Amazing property, very secluded. Such a well throughout place kids absolutely loved finding all the signs on the discovery trail and using all the bikes. Matt was a wonderful host even delivering a goodie basket from the veggie garden. One of our favourite stays.

We loved our one night stay at Highway Hideaway. Matt the host was so friendly and welcoming to his beautiful property. We enjoyed the Discovery walk which was tranquil as well as informative. There were 3 families also camping there. We didn’t have any kids with us but thoroughly enjoyed watching the kids play in the huge natural open space. There were bikes for the kids to use, swings, balls and games and a cute fairy garden. It was all so peaceful and relaxing. Matt’s gift of some fresh produce was such a delightful surprise - thank you. Close enough to Manjimup

Great little spot. Big private sites with nice views over the dam and plenty of space between campers. Quiet, easy to get into and only a few minutes from Manjimup if you need supplies. Perfect if you’re self-contained and want a relaxed bush stay. Would happily stay again.
