Overall, we had a really lovely stay. There are plenty of spots to pitch a tent, not grassy, but perfectly fine as long as you remember to clear a bit of horse poo first.
The view over the little pond and the neighbouring farm is beautiful. There is a large pile of old furniture, broken bikes and various bits and pieces that slightly interrupts the scenery, but the incredible night sky more than makes up for it.
A small heads-up for future visitors: there’s an extremely friendly dog on the property. He happily comes to say hello. And by hello, I mean enthusiastic licking. He’s quite a big boy, so our little one was actually knocked over during a particularly affectionate greeting. You’ll also want to keep an eye on your food, as he’s very keen to share your meals!
Although there are planes flying to and from the nearby airport (the last one passed around 1am and the first took off around 5am), we still had a wonderful time enjoying nature and the peaceful farm atmosphere.
