Animals, bikes, canoes, walking and swimming. This property features paddocks with shady trees. Situated close to the river. The beach is a short drive away. Horses and small animal experience available, ask on arrival. I recommend booking a walk with the horses the river for an hour. This campsite has access to a beautiful toilet/hot shower and drinking water supply in the workshop. There is also an outdoor shower in a water tank surround and an outside bath heated by a fire. Small camp kitchen with coffee machine, fridge, sink and bench also in the workshop. Large outdoor movie screen, we generally screen family movies on Saturday night among the gum trees and strings of lighting. Please enquire if you are interested. Campfires and bonfires permitted in winter. No fire from October to May. While you're here check out the Greenough walk and cycle track that follows the river. It's only 3km to the beach, and you can walk or take your bike there (bike hire is available in town). We have canoes. Greenough Settlement/café and Wild Life Park close by. Pets welcome on a lead. Off lead welcome after we had met and chatted. Dogs are a danger to all horses, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Off lead without consultation will not be tolerated. Please enter Devlin Pool Rd at the Northern end where it meets Jandanol Rd. We are the 3rd driveway.Animals, bikes, canoes, walking and swimming. Would highly recommend stopping at this beautiful place. I arrived to a warm welcome from Sara, she was very accommodating and understanding as she helped me settle in. The place was beautiful with heaps of room for for families and a walk away from the river . I got to park near the horses and the pony , too cute 😊 Thank you Sara for making me feel welcome 🙏

This has to be our favourite Hipcamp ever!!! Sara was so kind and took amazing care of us. A stunning and peaceful location just out of Geraldton and only a couple of minutes off the highway. Our boys loved saying hi to the horses. We loved having a camp with a hot clean shower and a kettle!!!

Peaceful and private with plenty of level sites. The quirky decor made it fun, and the hot shower and toilet were a bonus! Close to Greenough River — would happily stay again.

Great hosts. The sites were a good size but everywhere was long grass which was bad for our small dogs. Even after the grass was cut down there were so many grass seeds and prickles.

Was one of the best places we stayed driving from Broome to the south coast NSW. I would recommend this any day. Beautiful views excellent raw honey and just down the road some of the best fishing you could ask for

Beautiful big space and plenty of quiet little pockets to choose from. Paul was a great host, popping in each evening to check everything was going well. Ringo and Jimmy were wonderful with our anxious dog.

We had a great stay at Dougal retreat. There was plenty of space to find a private site. Fire pits and wood were provided. We were made to feel welcome and the property was really relaxed.

Sara was very welcoming and accommodating. Our site was nice with a lot of space for privacy. We stayed 2 nights and found it an ideal base for the sightseeing we planned and only a short drive to Geraldton.

We have a great time at Dougal’s retreat, we loved sitting by the fire watching the stars. Sara was delightful and was so good with our 4 year old taking her to see all the animals and letting her feed them and put them to bed. Would highly recommend this place as a base to explore Geraldton, thanks again Sara!

My family and I were on transit to Monkey Mia and was certainly glad to be hosted by Sara. Sara helped to make us feel comfortable. Hot water shower was working, and my boys would have enjoyed a campfire if not for the dreadful rain. Location is easy to find, and short drive to Geraldton for coffee or a groceries run! Thank you Sara & family!

Sara and Paul were awesome Hipcamp hosts! They showed me around their property on arrival, helped me gather firewood, and fixed a tweaked part on my campervan! The property is spacious, easy to navigate, and SO MUCH BETTER than a caravan park! Would absolutely stay again and thanks for the hospitality!!

We had a lovely stay! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly (including the 2 beautiful Kelpies) and our kids loved getting to meet and feed all the animals (horses, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens). Thank you for having us! We would definitely come stay again.

I would highly recommend this site, especially at the current price. It was easy to access from the highway. Sara was extremely accomodating, messaging prior. Unfortunately I arrived late so didn't locate the prepared site but still had a chance to build a campfire with the kids. The site does have a work shed with a toilet, hot water shower and microwave/ kettle.

Loved our overnight stay here! Sara was a phenomenal host and spending time with the animals was a fantastic experience. Loved that we could arrive, pick a spot and not need to unhitch the caravan. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing overnight stay on our way north. Sara is an excellent host and her property is amazing. Nice clear & clean sites, fire pits, plenty of firewood, and a hot shower! Would definitely love to stay there again

Overall was a lovely stay in a relaxing spot amongst nature. I was glad I didn't need to use the kitchen as it was very dusty and poorly equipped. I would expect more for the price.

Great communication made it easy to find. Paul was a welcoming host and made our site selection and stay very comfy. Basic facilities but more than enough comfort for a lovely peaceful night on our way to Coral Bay.
