Grass Roots Deepdene is an area on private property designated for gatherings, wellness, nature immersion and camp overs. The land is beautiful, rural and gently undulating with views over the valley. There is some dappled shade from native trees, it is protected from the harsh winds in winter, there are often amazing stars at night and blessed with the rising sun. In a biodiverse hot spot, where the forest meets the ocean, we are less than 10 mins to the Blackwood River, the fishing town of Augusta, and a little bit further is Flinders Bay and Cape Leeuwin lighthouse. Less than 1km in the other direction, you can discover the wonder of Jewel Cave, 10 mins to the world renowned Hamelin Bay Beach and 15 mins you can find yourself deep in the beauty of Boranup Forest. The adventures in nature, fun and activities in this area are endless, and we are also blessed to have amazing local restaurants, cafes, wineries and local arts scenes in the region. If you are looking to stay in a tranquil and peaceful setting away from the concrete and crowds, this may be the place for you. And please note, we are not a caravan park, far from it, we are rustic, humble, spacious and natural. If you wish to bring pets with you, dogs are permitted, but only if they are well behaved, do not stray and are not too noisy. Best to check with us first. We treat this space as a peaceful sanctuary and uphold that as a foundation in our approach to anything and everything. This large green Emperor bell tent is located within Grass Roots Deepdene, separated from the other 'camping' areas. Equipped with a queen size bed, and clean, fresh bedding, our intention is to provide you with camping luxury during your stay. The tent is built on a low platform with a beautiful view of the valley. There is power from our small solar set up within the tent for lights and charging phones and small appliances. We provide natural Margaret River Spring Drinking Water. There is a shared compost toilet and solar hot shower located within 50 metres of the tent. There is also a shared social area within the farmstay with non - potable hot water tap and gas cooking. We can provide an ice box outside the tent if required. We also provide a fire pit and wood for those amazing winter nights under the stars. Check in time 2pm. Check out time 10pm. A later check out maybe be an option. This was such a beautiful quiet place to stay for a few days. We were actually the only people there for the first night. Not too far out of Augusta either. I highly recommend this farm stay.

Felt super safe. Really beautiful tranquil spot, loved the shower —if you stand on tip toes you get an awesome view of the sun setting over the hills. Akheira was so helpful, friendly and quick to respond to anything. Totally recommend.

Lovely camp stay! Far less crowded and more spacious than your typical caravan park camping situation, which was lovely. Good camp kitchen and toilet/shower facilities and great location close to Augusta and Hamelin Bay. Recommend!

We loved staying at Deepdene Farmstay. Our host, Justin, welcomed us onto his property. The amenities are great including the rustic Camp Kitchen. It was a wonderful place to return to & relax after busy days sightseeing in the local area. Very peaceful & relaxing stay.

Awesome place to camp, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Plenty of spots to setup the camp. If you choose well, you will be alone to enjoy your time there! Lovely team working there!

Absolutely loved our stay at deepdene! Very well maintained and had quite the luxuries with composting toilets and solar heated showers! Very beautiful spot😊

When everything else was booked out, we found this little gem. Close to town and all the sights, Jewell cave is located just down the road also. We really enjoyed our short stay here and would have stayed longer if the price was cheaper. We would definitely stay again.

loved this Farmstay, stayed 4 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. Lovey vibe with a great view over looking the valley and close to Augusta for a bakery run if needed. Hosts were amazing, they touched base each day and kept all the amenities clean and tidy. Ensure you have drinking water. You need to be self sufficient but has an awesome camp kitchen with hot water (not drinking) and some power (solar) for small appliances such as phones. Would definitely return for a few nights!

We loved sitting looking out over the paddocks looking at the various animals. It is very central to Albany and Margaret River. We had a lovely peaceful Christmas and New Year. Nice stop for a very rustic minimalistic stay.

We enjoyed the peaceful farm surrounds and the rustic facilities. Everything we needed for comfort was there while we still felt we were off grid. Plenty of space to set up for 2 families and still not camp on top of other campers.

Great space to park up for the night and camp. Camp toilet was a drop toilet with sawdust and was very usable, camp shower was surprisingly good, got warm quickly and stayed warm for the majority of a shower. Shared kitchen space with basic appliances + cleaning facilities, we didn't make use of this other than to wash our dishes but it would do the trick. Shared campground with others but more than enough room to have your own space. Great views into a couple of paddocks, where we saw a kangaroo one evening at dusk. Perfectly located along Caves Rd to explore Lake, Jewel and Mammoth Caves if these are on your itinerary. Great swim spot down the road in Augusta called Granny's Pool with BBQ facilities and a small park. Overall a really positive experience.

Had a fabulous 8 day stay over Xmas. Nice site under the peppermint tree overlooking farmland. Good location being only 5km from Augusta, 30mins to Margaret River and the beautiful Hamelin Bay is close by. Highly recommended for your stay.if in the area. Thanks for sharing your farm.
