We had such a wonderful stay here! Michelle was an incredible host — warm, gracious, and so generous. She made us feel completely comfortable and welcome.
The property is beautiful, with gorgeous horses, chickens, and such a peaceful setting. My daughters absolutely loved the horses, and the horseback rides were a highlight of our stay. Michelle made us feel so comfortable and made the experience really special.
The bunkhouse was wonderful and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, with a Keurig and quality coffee, half-and-half, honey, tea, sugar, and all the thoughtful little touches. Although it’s advertised as communal, we were the only ones using it during our stay, so it felt very private. The shower was also amazing — great water pressure and plenty of hot water!
We loved making s’mores around the campfire with our family. My husband and I kept looking at each other throughout our stay saying, “This is so great. We would absolutely come back here.” We were both so happy with our decision to choose this Hipcamp experience and kept talking about how glad we were that we picked this place.
Such a special experience for our family. We absolutely hope to come back!

This is the absolute perfect getaway for all ages. Not only is the property absolutely breathtaking, all the beautiful horses, chickens, roosters, goats and sheep that you are surrounded by and get a chance to meet, spoil and learn about was truly the highlight. It’s the absolutely perfect for the ranch style life with some additional comforts. We had no problems locating the property with the directions provided. This will definitely not be our last visit!

Me and my partner had a wonderful time here, it was super relaxing and we loved being around all the animals. The room was Beautiful, cozy and clean. The barn shower was so cool!

Absolutely one of the best experiences we have had with booking a stay anywhere! Our children were able to pet the horses, visit the goats/lamb, and booked horse back riding lessons while we were visiting. Michelle is absolutely wonderful and SO sweet! HIGHLY recommend booking!

Nice place to get away and relax. We enjoyed saying hi to the horses and goats, watching the chickens run around, and the barn cat was precious.
We had fun staying at Michelle's property. It was a nice little getaway for my son's 12th bday. Michelle was very accommodating and welcoming. She also shared a lot of great information about animals in her property especially horses. We learned so much from her and we are thankful for that. Our family got to experience riding Sacred before we checked out today and she was amazing with my kiddos. We are definitely coming back to try trail ride. We had everything we needed during our stay in Michelle's place and we could not asked for more.

11/10 stars HIGHLY recommend!! This last minute stop for me absolutely turned my little get away into exactly what I needed. Beautiful property, kind and friendly hosts, clean and cozy accommodations and so many fun loving animals to bring out your happy 🤭 🥰. I will be going back for sure!

Ruff Ranch is such a special place! Definitely earned a top spot among my favorite Hipcamps. Michelle is such a kind, intuitive person & this is mirrored through all the many marvelous animals & folks you’ll encounter here. Learned that Michelle was among the first US-based hosts on the platform & helped inform its direction — RR is truly a model example of the ideal HC experience!
My partner and I had such a fun time at Michelle’s ranch! We loved spending time with all of the horses and different animals, and Michelle even let us give them some midnight snacks. We will absolutely be back, and I can’t recommend this place enough.
We had such an amazing time at Michelle’s Bunkhouse! The room was spotless, cozy, and stayed nice and cool. It was amazing to have such proximity to all the animals, who were all friendly and so lovable. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the barn shower, but it ended up being one of the warmest and most fun showers I’ve ever had. We saw the Milky Way and a distant thunderstorm thanks to the dark skies. We will be back as soon as possible!

This was our second visit to the bunkhouse and we can’t wait to visit again! Michelle has created a wonderful space to relax, spend time with the animals, and feel like a part of the ranch. We got a chance to see how the horses are cared for and to learn about the equine therapy hosted onsite. My daughter definitely didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend the experience!

Great person, bigger than I anticipated. Her dogs are super friendly... along with the barn cats. Highlight is riding the horse. It was my first time and loved it
The bed was comfortable and they have a pull out couch bed. The bunk house stayed cozy warm at night. The staff was really friendly and they take care of other animals besides horses. We enjoyed visiting with Michelle and look forward to a return trip. Go and see GUS the shire horse.
Michelle is absolutely the most amazing host ever. Are tonight‘s day was so much fun, we got to run around with all the animals. We rode horses on our second day and she was just so fantastic in teaching how to ride. Megan and her therapy with the horses was absolutely cool. This is a place that we will visit frequently. Thank you Michelle for making it a fantastical birthday weekend. The birthday twin crew.

The ranch was beautiful and the shared kitchen was nice but sometimes was hard to feel at home cause couldn't lock door for kitchen at night and morning had to be fully dressed to go into kitchen
Always amazing, Michelle and her staff are wonderful with kids and help our kids learn to care for the horses, chickens, pigs, etc. we always have an amazing time!

Our family goes to Michelle’s farm every summer and it’s our kids favorite thing to do. I think they were even more excited about it than when we went to Disneyland!
The bunkhouse is very cozy with tasteful decor and comfortable bedding. And it has air conditioning (a major bonus if you go in August) yet feels like a farm house. The farm itself is a dream experience for kids and adults.
Our kids take horse back riding lessons and run around the farm taking turns visiting the many animals: horses, bunnies, kittens, donkeys, baby chicks, a pig and two outrageously adorable lambs. The kids also help out on the farm, which they love.
All this, for a very reasonable price.
Michelle owns the farm and could not be more kind and lovely.
We usually stop here for a couple days on our way to the Oregon coast. It’s a great way to break up the drive.
If you are thinking about renting the bunkhouse, I can say with certainty that you won’t be disappointed.

Our experience at Michelle's farm was beyond amazing. I knew there would be horses and I knew we would be staying in a converted barn. I had no idea I would feel like I was in the best part of a Disney movie with friendly adult and baby animals right outside my door. Now as i am back in my busy and stressful work day, i am sitting thinking I would so love a hug from Moonshine the donkey or a muddy wet nose bump from Miss Piggy the pig. Michelle was super responsive and made sure we had all we needed.
It was anything but roughing it and was a convenient location to reach a river to swim in, cities to explore, lakes to swim in and areas to hike. I would absolutely recommend it again. This is a working farm that does animal assisted therapy. What a great experience to have while knowing we were helping support the work they do.

This was our second year staying at the bunkhouse. It was just as awesome as the first time. The grandkids loved seeing the horses and one even got the opportunity to ride Dottie. Michele is so sweet and even as busy as she is takes the time to say hello and make you feel welcome and part of the family. We look forward to making this an annual event.

There's no way I could even explain how amazing this place is it's just perfect Michelle is the best person you could ever meet very caring and helpful and will show you the right way to ride a horse too. Very clean place and peaceful I'm definitely coming back🌹

We absolutely ❤️ Horse Lovers Paradise! Bunkhouse was super clean, the kitchen is a full kitchen and I cooked a few meals. Clean Keurig for my morning coffee. The bathroom and shower in the barn, just out the kitchen door, are hilarious, fun and very clean. S’mores over the campfire under a perfect starry sky. We plan on visiting regularly. Kids got to ride Gary the quarter horse. So fun! Awesome home base for day trips too.
My friend and I stayed at Michelle's Horse Paradise for two nights and every minute of it was delightful. Michelle is a great host the bunkhouse was comfortable and clean and oh the animals so fun and well behaved and happy. I would recommend the experience to one and all.
