This was a very nice place. The hobbit house is beautiful. The property has a lot of trails to follow. We loved being able to have a fire to cook on and it is located pretty close to the National Park and other swimming attractions. Rob has a video of how he built it. All in all it was worth it and would recommend to any LOTR fans.

Lovely spot! Super cute! Quiet. Bed really surprised me. I've stayed in many hotels and this bed and pillows are more comfortable than most of the hotels I've stayed in. Scerene. Would stay again.

Incredible!!!!
Very private, clean, and cozy hobbit house ! The fire was amazing to do some cooking on and the electric fireplace works great to heat up the house. I would recommend!

This was my first time ever “glamping” and it will be hard to go back to tent camping after this experience! The hobbit house was magical, the LOTR nerd in me was so excited to get to stay here. Very private! Large fire pit for campfires and 2 chairs to sit in, large table which was perfect for us to cook on. I def will be planning future trips here!

We loved the full Hobbit experience!! As a family of four with our dog tagging along it was perfect. Two slept in the hobbit house, two slept in the tent just to the right with the dog preferring the hobbit house. Stayed Nice and cool in the heat of the summer! Perfect setup with flush toilet and sink for all our needs. High recommend. Definitely need four wheel drive to get up the full driveway.

Loved the set up and the land it was on, great time with the kids, close to A LOT of fishing and hiking, clean and overall wonderful stay. I do advise bringing a 4 wheel drive as the lead up there is tricky, but also walkable.

Such a fun, fantastical place to stay. From the glowing lanterns in the round windows to the rustic looking guest book, the little touches certainly help carry your imagination to the Shire. The hobbit hole stayed comfortably warm regardless of the cool wet weather outside and the numbers scavenger hunt was a fun way to explore the property! I definitely would recommend this place to friends and I hope to return to it myself.

My husband and I were so excited to visit the Hobbit house! And it did not disappoint! It was very cool, lots of fun throwbacks to the movie inside the house. The amount of work that went into it, is very impressive. I liked that there was a flushable toilet to use only 20 ish feet away from the house.
Things to note. The road getting to the house was a bit tricky for us in our vehicle (awd Highlander). I didn't pay close enough attention to the description, you definitely need all camping cookware none is provided. Rob did leave a couple of pokers for us to bbq our hot dogs over the fire which was very sweet. You do need to bring fire wood and starters (he also has bundles for sale at the start of the property). Very peaceful, space heater inside the home works VERY well. My husband and I are not tiny humans and so the bed wasn't comfortable for us to share.
All in all, very cool experience, and very happy we stayed.

Don’t think twice. Book this yesterday. This was a truly magical experience. Great proximity to river and lake access and the home is cozy and whimsical. We will definitely be back!

The Hobbit house was such an amazing experience! The host was very kind and the view absolutely amazing. The electricity was very helpful as was the flushing toilet and running water nearby. My daughter drove and had some trouble getting up the driveway as her car is a manual transmission and the sharp turn uphill on gravel was a challenge for her. We ended up parking down the hill and hauling our stuff up and down the steep driveway.
The sounds of the neighbor's generator and the sounds of the road was the only reminder that we weren't in the actual Shire. We are definitely going back!

So adorable and love the thoughtful touches inside like the replica of the ring and all the Lord of the Rings books. The final part of the driveway is steep and loose gravel, so we had to park at the bottom of the hill, but it was just a short walk up to the hobbit home.

This was an incredible stay!! We enjoyed it so much. The campfire pit at night was lovely, the walkway to hobbit house was perfection, the inside was so cool and cozy, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean. All of the Lord of the Rings touches were so fun, and all the details were amazing. Amazing stay, 10/10 recommend.

Super cute place and a a cool respite from the warm highs during the day. It was so nice to have a sink, toilet, and electricity. You can tell the house was built with a ton of care and attention to detail. Enjoyed reading at night with a heated throw blanket, electric fireplace, and flickering lanterns for ambiance. I had to turn my overdrive off and approach the driveway from the opposite side to get some momentum to get my AWD up the hill - but that did the trick. Highly recommend!

Hobbit House
We loved our weekend at the hobbit house, even despite the rainy weather. The site was private and peaceful, the house itself very cozy and comfortable, with lots of fun LOTR details. We cooked a soup over the open fire and enjoyed the surrounding nature and beautiful misty views. The flushing toilet and potable sink was so nice to have. Definitely hope to return again during nicer weather to explore the land more!

We had a such a great stay with our pup here. I wish we had been able to stay longer and had less rain. The fire pit area looked so cozy! We still had a lovely, warm evening together listening to Andy Serkis read The Fellowship on Libro.fm on my phone. The space was very warm and comfortable. Great launch point for a hike around Mt. St. Helens. Highly recommend.

What a great place! All the details are so thoughtful and very on theme. The house is well built.l, both cool in the day and warm enough at night. We had a great time sitting around by the fire and walking our dog around the property. Would absolutely recommend to others and we will be back again!

My friend and I had the best, most relaxing one night stay at the hobbit hole. There are two other sites nearby but you can’t see them so it felt very private. There is a neighboring dog, but we brought our reactive pup and had no issues. The site has lovely grass, a huge fire pit, ample table space for setting up a camp kitchen, and a gorgeous view of trees and a ridgeline. Rob recently installed a nice flushing toilet right at the site (plus a sink with potable water) which was such a luxury. He came by once to check on us and was very welcoming, making sure everything was working ok. The hobbit house itself was a DREAM!! So beautifully crafted, and if you’re a LOTR fan you’ll love all of the small details. Felt more like a high quality hotel room with its own yard! Bed was comfy, and had fresh sheets and a comforter. The room stayed quite cool all the time, so we did use one of the provided sleeping bags as an additional comforter. It would be the perfect escape for a hot summer night! FYI there was quite a bit of close-by road noise (luckily not at night/you can’t hear it from inside), but I think it was made up for by the chorus of frogs at night and bird song in the morning. Rob’s directions were easy to follow, and there are very clear signs on the property of how to find the Hobbit Hole site. The last bit of road up to the site was a bit too rough for our city sedan (sorta a steeper switch back gravel road) so we just parked at a nice flat spot halfway up instead!

Such a beautiful space! It was real rainy and slippery so did not quite make it all the way up the hill in my subaru outback but that was no problem at all. Awesome bed came with bedding and pillows and an electric fireplace so it was cozy the whole night. Really appreciated staying here!

The Hobbit House was a perfect little getaway for my partner and I with our large dog. We had a fun time walking the trails and doing the scavenger hunt (we got all but 3 of them). Our 2 wheel drive Honda didn't make it all the way up to the house, but we didn't mind the short walk. We ran into Rob on the trails and he was a very friendly host.

Rob was very accommodating when we had to short notice add on a few days to our stay. The space also felt very private and quiet. It was only 15 minutes into the town of Woodland, and surrounded by trees if you like the woodsy vibe!

Hobbit House
The Hobbit House was such a beautiful stay, nestled in the side of a hill in a very quiet area. The surroundings were fun to see on the designed scavenger hunt. The neighbour dog is well-trained and left us alone for our stay (we have a reactive dog). The electric fireplace kept us very warm throughout the night. I felt the outhouse was really clean though we didn’t use the shower. The sink right near the Hobbit House was also very convenient!

My friends and I had a WONDERFUL time Rob’s Hobbit hideout. My car (two-wheel drive) couldn’t make it halfway up the hill, but we made it work. There’s running water, a toilet and shower down the hill, and the hobbit hole stays warm with the heater. There’s electricity too! The ground is grassy (with some blackberry bramble but nothing where we were walking) and a beautiful view of the opposite hillside. We even had a good clear view of the sky at night! The firepit has a grill over it and I used my cast iron and we made some Chunk steaks and corn. There’s a table to stand around and some tree trunks to sit on. There are also more chairs inside the hobbit hole with another table (and microwave. Rob came up once in our stay to say hi and make sure we were doing okay, otherwise we had our privacy and it was so much fun.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get away!!

Rob was a friendly host, and the hobbit house itself was very private and secluded. It was everything I was looking for in a relaxing weekend away. It’s listed in the description, but without 4WD you’ll have to park a short walk away from the cabin. The bathhouse is also just a short walk away and is very close to the RV sites at the bottom of the hill, which can lead to some dog/people run-ins (which was not an issue). Overall, the hobbit house was an amazing experience for myself, my partner, and our dog.
