Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Nestled in the Surf Coast Hinterland, Springside is a working 110-acre cattle property offering a rare chance to slow down and breathe. Wake up to open paddocks, birdsong, and big skies, with Anglesea, Torquay, and Geelong all within 25 minutes. We keep our numbers deliberately small so every guest enjoys genuine peace and space to wander. Whether you're here to rest, explore, or simply do nothing at all, you're welcome here. Take in views of Mt Moriac, spot wildlife around our three dams, or settle in around the fire pit as the stars come out. Away from city lights, the night sky here is something else entirely. For those wanting a taste of farm life, we offer cattle feeding and egg collection from our chickens as optional add-ons. Our unpowered sites are suited to tents, campervans, and caravans with onboard toilets. Water is available for stays of three nights or more. Bring your own firewood or add a load to your booking. Day trips are easy from the farm. Surf the breaks at Torquay or Jan Juc, walk the clifftops at Anglesea, explore the Great Ocean Road, or head into Geelong for food, markets, and the waterfront. You're well placed for all of it, with a quiet property to come home to each evening. Springside is ideal for couples and young families looking for genuine rest. Pets are welcome but must remain confined to your campsite at all times to protect our cattle and neighbouring farm animals. Please note we accommodate a maximum of three vans or campers at any one time, and the property is not suitable for large groups or parties.

The Pine

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 30 m
Nestled among a stand of native gums and named for the old pine that anchors the space, this sheltered site offers a quieter experience than our open paddock site, with noticeably less road noise. Dappled light, natural shade, and the sounds of birds in the canopy make it a lovely spot to settle in. The site comfortably accommodates one van, camper, or tent setup. A tap is located nearby for easy water access. Your own fire pit is included at the site, bring your own firewood or add a load to your booking. Guests need to be fully self-contained for toilet facilities, and we're happy to help with any site setup needs if you get in touch ahead of your stay. How much of the property you're able to explore will vary depending on cattle work happening during your visit. Boundaries and access will be walked through with you on arrival, so you'll know exactly where you're free to wander. The three dams, open paddocks, and views of Mt Moriac are all part of the experience, and for those keen to get hands-on, cattle feeding and egg collection from our chickens are available as optional extras.

The Redgum

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 30 m
Tucked beneath a grand old red gum, this spacious flat site looks out across open paddocks to the horizon beyond. Easily accessible from the property entry, you may notice some road noise, though it softens as the day quiets down. The site is gently sloped to drain well, so even after rain you'll be on dry ground. Space here is generous, comfortably accommodating one to three vans, campers, or tent setups with room to breathe between them. Rates are charged per van or tent. A tap is located nearby for easy water access. Your own fire pit is included at the site, bring your own firewood or add a load to your booking. Guests need to be fully self-contained for toilet facilities, and we're happy to help with any site setup needs if you get in touch ahead of your stay.
