Nestled at the base of the Cathedral Range (Nanadhong) you will have beautiful views across the Acheron Valley and exclusive enjoyment of the site. Fire pit, with a complimentary barrow of wood and a flat camping or van site overlooking the large dam. The campsite location is at the top of the farm and private. An abundance of wildlife including, roo’s, wallaby’s, echidna’s and wombats. This is the perfect quiet base to explore the local area. Day hikes in the spectacular Cathedral Range State Park, Mountain biking on the local Buxton Mountain Bike Park or the Cascades trail down Lake Mountain to Marysville township, fly fishing in the many local rivers or just sit back and relax at your exclusive site and enjoy the views. This is a working farm running cattle and sheep, as such well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Please leave all gates as you find them. When you book this site you are the only guest, no other sites on the property.The back dam campsite is your own private camping spot, set below the beautiful Cathedral Range. The site sits at 350m above sea level, making the views across the Acheron Valley to the Black Range magnificent, particularly at sunset. Drive up the private driveway all the way to the back of the property to your own private site. Amenities include, a large picnic table, Astro turf pad and fire pit. Complimentary wheel barrow of firewood provided. Easy access to local attractions including, Lake Mountain, Lake Eildon, Cathedral Range State Park, trout fishing in the Acheron, Stevenson, Taggerty, Rubicon and Goulburn rivers. Healsville 40 mins, Marysville 15 mins, Alexandra 25 mins drive. Please note this site is in a farm paddock adjacent to a dam and forest. There may be ants, spiders and snakes.
