Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road. There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak. If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied). There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider. This has been designed as a group campsite: Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural river plain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers on site. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road. There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak. If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied). There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider. This is a group booking site priced on 10 guests (adults and children) and includes firewood. You are welcome to bring many more guests, just add the numbers and it will generate the price. Note: If you expect to have more than 10 people, but you don't know exact numbers, just put the booking in for 10 people and you can finalise the numbers with me a few days before.

Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider. This is a site priced on couples site (for 2 guests) and includes firewood. You are welcome to bring more guests, just add the numbers and it will generate the price. This site is part of a very large camp site and depending on demand at the time there may be 1 other group camping at the other end. Don't worry it still feels very private and you will have plenty of room around you. This is our premier site now open to couples for just $50. You will love it!

We loved returning to Jackaleah again. Lots of room, and extremely accommodating hosts. The river was great to sit in to cool off and deep enough to have a swim. Highly recommend.

Good private spot away from other campers. Daniel looked after us and arranged a site with limited notice. We walked up to the pump station and there’s a great Rockpool where kids can swim as well as have a fish. Caught a couple of nice Murray cod

After being led to the wrong address by Apple Maps, Daniel’s directions were perfect. The camping site is just on the edge of the Oxley township which is very small, so we could walk in for coffee/breakfast. The site was off the road but we could hear the occasional passing car. The grazing cows were interested in our camp and kept their respective distance. There was no direct access to King River, although it was very close. Overall we loved the site and look forward to coming back.

A great location, we had an amazing weekend and Dan and Arthur were fantastic! The kids loved building rock pools and playing down by the water. We had plenty of firewood and they came to check to make sure we had enough to keep us going over the weekend. The camp spot was well maintained. We had a large group with caravans and we all had plenty of room, we will definitely be back!

We camped with a large group (7 families) and had exclusive use of a paddock with out any major visibility from other campers. Our site had power although it was located in one corner away from where we would ideally want to camp, I would recommend bringing some long high quality extension leads if power is important. (remember this is a farm not a caravan park). While it doesn't have toilets the public toilets located at Oxley Memorial Park was about 1.5km away. We also had chemical/camp toilets there is a good quality dump site with hose at the Oxley Recreation Reserve with a $5 honesty box fee which is a 5min / 4 km drive away. Plenty of flat land including quite close to the river bank we had 2 caravans, 1 camper van, and 4 tents in the group and everyone found a location they were happy with. We were well under the capacity the space could easily fit. Grass is 'good paddock' it isn't house lawn level smooth but doesn't look like it has had live stock through it in a long time. Road access in/out was well maintained gravel driveway until the field itself. The river is the absolute highlight, there is a sort of rock damn that splits your access into upper and lower sections with good depth (about 2m in some spots). Water was flowing constantly in peak summer which kept bug levels down. It is a LOT better with reef shoes to get in/out. Water was darker but quite clean. Note you do share this section with campsite across the river.

We had a great time at jackaleah farm. The space was a lovely grass area right next to the river. We had plenty of room for 5 large setups and still loads of space to run around. It was great to be able to cool off on a hot weekend! We were able to float around in the deep bits, float down the mini waterfall and the kids loved jumping off the log. There was a group the other side of the river but we still felt like we had loads of privacy. Firewood was provided which was great and the hosts were amazing to deal with! Site felt secluded yet really close to some to lovely cafes and pubs. We would happily go back. The stars at night around a camp fire just made the weekend.

It was a great location and Daniel was easy to deal with however we felt it was a bit over priced for what was on offer. The grass was very roughly mowed and river access was not great. The grass that was not mowed around us was still really long which was a bit of worry (snakes) as we had a few young children with us.

We loved the location so close to many winery’s and places to eat and see. Communication from Dan was spot on, Firewood was supplied and plenty of it too. Kings River this time of year was very low and struggled to flow but did not worry us in the slightest. Would stay here again in a heart beat, highly recommend.

Such a great spot being on the water. Plenty of privacy, super easy to get into town and plenty of room for activities. Loved that all the grass was so green and the cows were very cute. Would just be mindful that that stream can be a little intense if you have little kids that will want to play in the water.

30 somethings camping over a wet Easter Weekend. Large field, plenty of space and fairly flat. It rained a lot but having pitched our tents sensibly we didn't have any issues. Lots of frogs, crickets and cows in the paddocks around us. There were a fair few cow pats in our field but not too many and they didn't smell. Beautiful river sounds. Firewood provided. Good space between us and road/ houses etc. Quick jaunt to town. Big beautiful old trees. Host was helpful and friendly, it is easy to miss the turn off and you have to go through a gate marked private property to get there so get detailed directions before you head out.

Beautiful quiet spot to spend time with family and friends. It was a clean, flat grassy site with heaps of room. The river flowed behind us and the kids had a great time swimming, fishing and kayaking. The general store was close by and we had a yummy lunch at the local Milawa Pub.

I loved the access to the river - beautifully clean and fresh flowing. Property was well maintained with cut grass, flat surfaces to drive into and well signposted. We appreciated the shade and firewood provided which slow burned around the campfire. The local gourmet region had awesome towns to visit with fantastic restaurants. The local public toilets were just a minute drive away which was ace! Thanks for a lovely stay on your gorgeous property.
